I've had an eye on HTC for a while now since I don't really care about camera quality, which was supposedly their weakness. Reviews are spilling out on the M9 now saying the battery is somehow worse than the M8? I don't even understand how that's possible, considering they up'd the battery size and kept the screen the same. I try not to get the same phone as everyone else but may have to cave to the new Samsung, which looks pretty sweet.

'Cuse Hoops 2014-15 - New York's College Team!!!
BuffOrange replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I wasn't in that thread either. Mainly because I don't see the point of the sanctimonious announcement that I'm against child molestation. I mean I'd like to think that goes without saying. But regardless, how desperate are you to create a false equivalency? We're talking about the NCAA investigation and you chime in with the completely unrelated "But....Bernie Fine....hypocrites!" - WTF? The Kardashians are less of an attention whore. -
The rule says it has to have a chance of going in. That had zero chance.

Gross did zero good things. Good riddance. -
Kentucky's region is a breeze. I also have Wichita as their toughest game. Zona-Wiscy should be the only region where chalk holds. AZ is a wise pick to win it all in larger pools. I have 5 vs 2 finals in the other regions. Almost positive Sparty lost to Texas in regional finals Carmelo year they were a 6 or 7 seed.

Debbie Downer and/or reality check?
BuffOrange replied to offyourocker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel the exact opposite. Benefit of the doubt that they have a plan should go to TE, even if that means they don't want one in their regular offense. Otherwise they wouldn't have dumped Chandler. With Guard I think they just screwed the pooch spending on McCoy instead. -
Is he?

QB Sam Bradford traded for QB Nick Foles
BuffOrange replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stuck with two worthless jokes. They are screwed. They botched these last two weeks big time. Colossal, unmitigated disaster. -
He's the only guy our Wandsteadt Defense played well against, right? To be fair I don't think any of these guys are an upgrade.

Bills to trade Kiko Alonso for LeSean McCoy
BuffOrange replied to CNY315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What, "there is still a possibility I could be in a Bills uniform" and "EJ was a little too buddy buddy" wasn't enough writing on the wall for you? We had a better shot at Beyonce' suiting up as a Jill next year. -

I've always thought Kiko was overrated here but now there's no doubt. -
Who is the Bills biggest division rival right now?
BuffOrange replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't get me wrong I respect the old school bitterness. I stuck with Miami as long as I could but at this point if you still say that, I honestly just think you're trying too hard. I mean NE has officially been annoying for a length of time longer than the 70s. One difference is I don't think Miami was ever universally hated by football fans like NE has become in the last ~7 years. It makes me feel a little bit like Bobby Heenan yelling "I told you all these years he was scum!" when Hulk Hogan turned heel. -
"Excitment" is relative. The other options being discussed are Josh McCown, Mark Sanchez & EJ Manuel. I was never a fan but he has the most upside by a lot; which admittedly doesn't mean he's worth whatever he may cost.

Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao May 2nd!!
BuffOrange replied to truth on hold's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Ya the fact that he wouldn't makes me think he wouldn't have always won. Re: price there has to be a point of diminishing returns right? Can't imagine anyone putting up $100 to watch by themselves. Ought to be a lot of SB type parties. -

Ya hot goalie to me falls under the luck heading. Otherwise you'd change 'hot' to 'great'. -

Aren't the shooting/possession stats just as bad as they ever were though, meaning they're just hitting an unluc...err...lucky stretch? -
Ding ding. This is what the old guard can never comprehend for some reason. Any old baseball writer will tell you sabermetrics are idiotic for downplaying RBIs. They always misrepresent the point - things can be a big factor in wins & losses and still not be a skill. The best way to hit with guys on base is to be a good hitter in general and sometimes a hitter lucky/better with guys on base, some years not so much. A little bit like redzone and 3rd downs in football. In basketball it's 3pt defense %. It's pretty funny that my previous unpopular Rueben Amaro bashing is now en vogue here in Philly.

Watch Joseph's turnovers. They're not high risk passes or otherwise mistakes that can reasonably be chalked up to "Freshman". He has an astounding lack of fundamental awareness of where to dribble, cut, and how to protect the ball that should be 2nd nature for a D1 PG of any age. And he stinks on defense to boot. So not optimistic there. I do think McCullough can be a beast for us though. -

The Five Most Overrated Players In The NFL
BuffOrange replied to sferris's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is one horrific list. I don't think he understands what "overrated" means. AFAIK it means better than popular perception. Wallace is pretty much a national punching bag at this point, thus underrated if anything (horrible fit w/ Tannehill who cannot throw a deep ball) albeit he is way overpaid. Everyone knows Fitzgerald is past his prime. Oher? As a general rule no OLman should ever be on an 'overrated' list unless they're a future HoF'er who is way past their prime. -
How long can a QB play in today's era/rules?
BuffOrange replied to TheFunPolice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The injury was the reason he looked shot & done. It shouldn't be mentioned in passing like a footnote - his play fell off a cliff right then. Of course one can reasonably guess that sort of thing is more likely to happen @40.. -

I wonder how many times this take has been said in the last hour... Not that I'd say anything different if it were another team. Honestly it'd look better if they just did nothing and waited for the ncaa.
