  1. As if that was the obvious play? Do we know he's that good after 1 game? I could've sworn he got some carries vs. Houston & Atlanta. Don't give me the Tampa game - we were not capable of running the ball that game. NO game I'll agree. Yawn. Stop pretending like Baltimore is the entire basis for my opinion. The basic point is -- who do you want to bring in that is going to be better? I'm pretty sure the OC should have a voice, but I could be wrong.
  2. In retrospect he probably wasn't that bad given what he had to work with - ie Flutie, Johnson, Antowain Smith and a crappy line. Same with Dan Henning - who is doing fine in Carolina. I should've said Mike Sheppard - that's who I was forgetting. I just think blaming the OC for our problems is lame. It'd be one thing if we had the same guy for 10 years, but we've been doing it for years and years and it's been a revolving door. At some point you have to blame the players.
  3. Yeah, North Philly is a dump. It's a shame cause I hear it used to be the big industrial area of the city. Also, all of the predictable "good let him go" posts are kinda gay IMO. Having a new OC every year hasn't served this team very well, and obviously people have forgotten how dreadful Gilbride & Pendry were. Taking the "hot guy currently coaching a talented offense" just doesn't work very often. Scott Linehan who was hailed as a genius after 3 weeks put the game in the hands of Gus Forrotte last week on a 3rd&2 play on the 10 yd line with 2 minutes left when Ronnie Brown was running it down Atlanta's throat. Billick & Fassel sure are doing wonders in Baltimore. I'm not saying he's the 2nd coming of Joe Gibbs or anything, but unless Weiss decides to reneg on the contract he just signed and come to Buffalo, I wouldn't mind if Clements stays.
  4. Couldn't have said it better myself - If this team wins 9 games I will walk barefoot from Philly to Buffalo and you can quote me on that.
  5. Watch games much? JP's best game vs. Houston wasn't any better than Kelly's worst game. Anyway, yeah - start JP because this team sucks.
  6. I actually think Jacksonville will end up with the #5 because they have a cake schedule, plus they hold the tiebreaker with Cincy/Pitt. I don't know about you but I don't love their chances @NE in a 1st round game.
  7. Agreed - I don't know where you can find "4 definite losses" in that schedule.
  8. Yeah, that TD was ridiculous. As much as people love blaming everything on our line - if that's any Bills QB from the last 10 years it's an easy sack.
  9. I distinctly remember somebody starting a similar thread about the Rams game last year and I told them they're an idiot. I don't feel as confident about the Bills' chances in this game, but other than the Friday night game in Miami - the Chiefs have not played a really good game since opening day - so no - it's not a joke.
  10. Yeah I thought a lot of those calls were extremely gay as well.
  11. Me too - it was a BS call though.
  12. Good God - has there ever been a worse lineup of 4:00 games? Seriously. Ever?
  13. Yeah, I like football and hate the Dolphins. What was your point?
  14. I believe Ed Wade who was just fired from the Phillies after 8 years held that title. TD is quietly making a run for it. Great post.
  15. Thank goodness for Sunday ticket. Actually, the 4:00 games suck even with Sunday Ticket. The only other late game in addition to the 2 crappy games you mentioned is Seattle-Arizona I can't see SF winning 2 in a row, though I wouldn't be shocked if the Steelers lost. I think the Jets will give the Chargers a much tougher game than people think.
  16. How many wins have those players gotten us? The SB years may have spoiled us initially, but there aren't many other teams who haven't won a division since 1995. Keeping Moulds over Wiley, Willis over Peerless were fine key moves. But with a few minor exceptions, you need a coach/QB to win. Hiring Gregg Williams and trading for Bledsoe were key terrible moves. The tie-breaker is whether or not the Mularkey/Losman combo pans out. IMO the jury is still out on that duo, but seeing as how we haven't made the playoffs during his 5 year tenure, I don't see why TD deserves the benefit of the doubt.
  17. That was almost a coherent sentence. I disagree with you both. There's a freaking Dallas-Washington MNF game every damn year and those teams have done squat the last 10 years. It has a lot to do with ratings, but it's also gay that the Bills always play on the road when TD has explicitly said they wouldn't mind home games. As for the OP - do you honestly feel NE would've played worse if they weren't coming off a bye, or playing in the afternoon? The Bills suck on the road under all of those circumstances.
  18. "Let the team make a statement"? C'mon, they've had 4 chances to make a statement on the road and they've failed miserably each & every time. What kind of a statement does a home win over a mediocre Chiefs team make? We're just going to lose in SD the following week anywyay. I am sick of losing too, but we're going to lose no matter who is behind center. Play JP. Also, look out our schedule and NE's schedule, I'm interested in hearing where we're going to make up this game (or 2 if NE beats Indy). Nov 13 @Miami 1:00pm Nov 20 New Orleans 1:00pm Nov 27 @Kansas City 1:00pm Dec 4 N.Y. Jets 4:15pm Dec 11 @Buffalo 1:00pm Dec 17 Tampa Bay 1:30pm Dec 26 @N.Y. Jets 9:00pm Jan 1 Miami time to play for 2006.
  19. You know, the Giants have won the same # of road games as the Bills this year.
  20. You just know we're going to lose our first one in overtime.
  21. The way our offense has played in the 2nd half? We've scored more points on opening drives of games than all the 2nd half points combined.
  22. I don't know where Charlton is, but I may be moving there. Awesome - you rock.
  23. I think you're wrong.
