  1. The tackle ocurred on the play before, but yeah - that's as blatant as it gets - right in front of the QB too.
  2. Well, I didn't see the defensive holding replay, but the Dallas RT completely tackled the KC DLman right in front of Drew on the 3rd down play. Unbelievable that they could miss that.
  3. OK I'll play along: lets just pretend like bad teams don't find ways to lose games. The only game we lost where we "outplayed" our opponents was the NE game. Carolina & Miami were close, but we didn't deserve to win them. On the flip side we're fortunate to have played a super soft home schedule, and fortunate that Miami set a franchise record for penalties and 6 turnovers back in October. I wouldn't be shocked if we won Sunday, but only because the game doesn't mean squat for the Pats.
  4. One of my favorite ongoing skits on this board - DB apologists bring up 96 because they can't cling to anything else. Somebody who knows the actual facts points out that DB actually did NOTHING in the '96 playoffs (his best postseason BY FAR - lets not even mention 94 or 97) and Drew apologists ignore it every time because not even the greatest spin doctors in the world can counter it. Funny stuff.
  5. Yeah, Fassel is doing awesome in Baltimore. GW sucked ass. Our defense sucked in 2001, sucked in 2002, decent in 2003, but worse than '04 because they went from last to first in takeaways. The only guy that's even remotely appealing on your list is Weiss.
  6. The 2003 season was more depressing than this and the 2001 season and it's not close for me.
  7. The Lynch personal foul was pretty bogus. Simms kept saying helmet-to-helmet but it looked to me like he led with his arms/shoulder.
  8. Excellent point. I wish I could bag Angelina Jolie, but I'm not going to be suprised or angry when it doesn't happen. I mean, the state of the team overall is depressing but I haven't really been depressed about a specific game since the opening day debacle last year.
  9. I also agree with this. Yet this board would be full of "Where are all the naysers now?" and "you guys are miserable human beings who will NEVER be happy about ANYTHING" people if that last play were different and any reasonable fan voiced concern about the overall sucktitude. I mean, never mind that every AFC team but us has made the playoffs since 2000.
  10. Why not - the Bills defense trying to make a 4th Qtr stop on the road in the Dome vs. Perry Patterson and the Orange offense....something's gotta give.
  11. That is so very true. Down by 14 in the 4th Qtr it's "run the damn ball!" Up by 21 against a crappy offense it's "why are we running"? In fairness to Kzoo he has at least been consistent.
  12. Yeah, that's the reason we lost the game
  13. Awesome - I especially love Bob "I pick the biggest favorite every week as my 'best bet' against the spread" Matthews. What a square.
  14. Yeah - you forgot: 6. Take a step backwards and finish sub .500 in 2007 after getting hopes up by "showing progress" the previous year.
  15. I really disagree with the consensus here, as well as everything Jerry Sullivan said on the radio this morning. Of course I don't know what's going on behind the scenes, but on the field they're not better off without him. I don't know what it means when I hear "he doesn't fit into the coach's scheme". I'm not sure what scheme they're referring to, but I'm all for a guy who actually gets penetration as opposed to getting pushed back 5 yards. I couldn't believe that Sullivan specifically referenced the Jets game when SA damn near dominated that game.
  16. Yeah, I picked 7-9 and I was labeled as a Scrooge. Right now I'd probably say 6-10. Cincy is the only sure loss left, so I think we find a way to win 2 more.
  17. I heard Mike Patrick say Jim Haslett should be coach of the year. I figured the entertainment had reached its climax at that point and I changed the channel.
  18. Aren't the Chargers pretty well set at LB?
  19. And the Giants haven't been playing crappy teams at home all year? Both of these teams suck.
  20. No he wasn't. Seattle's D just sucks and can't hold a lead at home.
  21. For once I agree with you. Don't mind Posey biting on playaction on 3rd&goal from the 3 when everyone in the stadium knew they were going to throw after we stuffed the run on 4 straight plays. It's not as if the #36 guy that Wire replaced has been any great shakes this year either. This thread is gay.
  22. Yeah Seattle's schedule has been weak, but so has the Giants' and their 7 home games. They have 1 road win and that was a close game for 3 Qtr's vs. SanFran.
  23. I concur with Carolina - I don't know how they're not listed when they beat the piss out of the Bucs in Tampa a couple weeks ago. The Bears are a nice story but don't have the offense. The Giants can't play on the road, their defense isn't that good, Eli isn't accurate. Dallas - we know what their problem is. Seattle - wake me up when they beat somebody on the road. But yeah, good year for Fox with the Giants, Cowboys, and Bears all being playoff teams.
  24. Yeah, at least there's a chance of seeing a good outcome. Miami's chances of losing > Buffalo's chances of winning.
  25. If you go by QB rating isn't Rob Johnson like 1 of the best QB's ever? 21 points thanks to a 10 yard drive plus a vintage killer int returned for 6 - leave it to Drew apologists to turn that into a positive.
