I'm with ya - the last time both #1 seeds made the SB was 93 Buffalo/Dallas and I think Seattle has a much better chance to lose than Indy. If the Giants somehow lose to the Raiders and the Redskins can get a home game I'll take Wash, but otherwise I like the Bears. Most of the replies in this thread are kinda dumb IMO. People ripping the Bears schedule when Seattle plays in the NFC West? They should have a decent record vs. playoff teams because they played an Indy team that was running for the bus, and the Giants & Cowboys at home (they were lucky to win both of those games) and they got spanked in Jacksonville. The Steelers were playing for their playoff lives at home when they played the Bears so I don't put a ton of stock into that game. They did beat the Bucs in Tampa, which is a higher quality road win than Seattle has all year.

The play no one ever talks about

True - he also got picked at the end of the half at the goaline when we were up 7-6. Also, there were about 4 bogus calls in the Titans game at the end of the 1st half that really screwed us. Everyone always forgets that. -
I'm not sure - I know you're talking regular season but off the top of my head the Broncos/Packers and Pats/Rams Super Bowls I think were 14 pt spread where the dogs won. Also off the top of my head, I would guess Dolphins-Chargers was the next biggest upset this year - that was around 11. Basically I'm no help at all.

Jets are favored by 4. I like the Bills, so I'm laying the points since I haven't been right about a Bills game ATS since the Charger game.

Uh, don't touch the ref Steve...

Did they really not call a penatly on that bodyslam out of bounds? Unbelievable considering all the ticky-tac crap they call near the sidelines. -
I must shamelessly pat myself on the back, because I've loved the Redskins all year. Everyone kept gushing over the Giants & Cowboys all year and harping on how "lucky" the Skins were to beat Dallas in week 2. Nobody ever talked about how they outplayed the Chiefs in KC, the Broncos in Denver, got screwed out of a game in Tampa... They're the best team in the division and it's a damn shame the Giants were given 9 home games. Go Raiders next week.

I think perhaps we can put to rest

I agree with this. As for Schobel, he is what he is, lets not overreact because of this game. He could be a starter on a playoff team, but I'm not crazy about him being the best pass-rusher on the team by a wide margin. He needs some help from his mates and he doesn't get it from the likes of Kelsay. -
The Top Five Reasons You Can't Blame

Bellicheck told his players this before the game: Basically, Kelly wants to be the MVP so we're going with a 2 man front. -
11-5 might not get you in this year
BuffOrange replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the Chargers a lot but I agree with this. All this talk about Miami playing so much better these days, but when you take away that Charger game their resume doesn't look so great, having barely avoided sweeps of the Bills & Jets in the last 3 weeks. So yeah - Jax is gonna get in but if KC/Pitt/SD tie 3-ways at 11-5, Pittsburgh would be left out because of their conference record. Basically Jacksonville could really screw the Steelers by resting their starters vs. Tennessee in the last week. The 3/6 1st round game in the AFC should be good no matter who is playing. -
I don't think 13 is nearly enough, but my hot streak picking Bills games ended in October.

'Same offense' being the operative phrase.

Yeah, that's why I don't really like Saban. Just because they tanked last year doesn't mean they're horrible. They probably have as much talent as they did early in the decade when they were winning 10-11 games under Wanny. That and they seem to get lots of dumb penalties whenever I watch them - including the 1st Bills game after a bye week. There are lots of candidates but I'd probably vote for Shannahan just because I think they're the 3rd best team in their division and yet they're 11-3.

Maybe we can trade for Grossman - looks pretty good.

Where are all the Bledsoe bashers today?

In today's age of horrible analogies, this is refreshingly brilliant. -

HAHAHAHAHAHA I've been touting them as underrated since September, but I figured the Redskins would be pissed after listening to all the crap for 3 months about how they were "lucky" to win in Dallas. If it wasn't for a BS call in Tampa they'd be in great position to win the division right now. I really hope the Giants choke in Oakland and they pull it off. -
We could be a Turnaround Team soon
BuffOrange replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We have so many holes on both lines I think we should draft the best player available on either line, whether it be DT, DE, OL, whatever. Ideally we could use 2 DT's, a DE, and 3-4 new OLman. Since that's impossible and you can win games without EVERY starter being "good", I think we can realistically be competetive with 2 DLman and 2 OLman. Salaries not withstanding, it's tough to find that many good players in the draft and/or FA in just 1 offseason. I dunno, I don't think this team is really close to being good. -
Seriously, where did this notion come from that the Colts are invincible at home? They've been just as good on the road since Manning has been there. Does anybody remember them choking vs. Tennessee after Homerun Throwback, or how they used to lose to Miami & Oakland at home every year, and how they beat Philly & Denver on the road a couple years ago? I mean, they're tough to beat in the dome because they're a good team, but it's not a really tough place to play everything else being equal.

I hate watching this game. I'd like to see the Chargers in the playoffs but I also want the lame '72 Dolphins to get a life and never be heard from again.

I thought the Bills & Pats were both strong plays today, so 1-1, bleh....home dogs are usually $ but they have sucked this year. -
Yeah he sucks. When they sent him on a blitz it looked like he was afraid to hit Plummer. Then he didn't know enough to hit the WR after the ball was tipped and stayed in the air for 45 seconds

BTW, TD is a PR master. Is there anybody in the media he ISN'T friends with? Are the announcers really using injuries an excuse? Relatively speaking we've actually been remarkably healthy during the TD era.

WTF - I was hoping the defense could at least give us a chance at a backdoor cover, but I guess they suck too much to even do that.
