Not a phenominal coach, but better than Haslett, Cottrell, Sherman, or any of these other names I've been hearing lately. I'd give up a mid-round pick in a heartbeat. Yeah he's too conservative in big spots but he wins everywhere he goes.

Looks like the Raiders are the only AFC team that comes close to matching our ineptitude. Maybe the Browns since Butch Davis was so bad, but Crennel appears to have a clue what he's doing after 1 year and lots of injuries.

The Saints & Falcons were winnable games where decent QB play might've made a difference - that's pretty much all. If DB proved one thing in 3 years it's that he can't beat the Pats or Jets on the road. Also, NE would've coasted past Miami in the season finale if they needed to, so you should check again about 10-6 getting it done.

I don't disagree that Ralph is cheap. It makes no sense since it's only 1 guy - the most important guy on the team among hundreds of other employees you pay. It's just that making his cheapness out to be the root of every decision is unfair and giving TD WAY too much credit. Five years ago Fox was not considered to be on an entirely different level than Williams. TD F'd up plain & simple, I don't understand why that's so inconceivable.

Every time I watch a Packer game, even when I don't have a rooting interest, I invaribly end up screaming at the TV "What are they doing? Why are they punting/going for it?" He's just not a good coach.

Thanks just so you know I wans't trying to be a prick - like I said elsewhere I give him a mulligan on this year because of the hurricane. It's also worth noting that these were comments from scouts so not everything was positively spun. Here's what they said about the Bills:

I think you're vastly overestimating Sherman's market value. He doesn't have pick of the litter. If Marv wants him to be the coach, he'll be the coach. But yeah, without Ferentz there aren't many appealing candidates out there. I'm not a big Fassel guy but I think I'd rather bring him in than Haslett, Sherman, or Cottrell.

Yeah I don't get that at all. I'm not a Cowboy hater per say, but I don't see how Aikman is heads & shoulders above Moon either. To me the only certifiable lock in that group is White.

Exactly - everyone loved the Ravens draft when they traded up to get Kyle freaking Boeller. Draft success should be evaluated on performance, not by Mel Kiper's grades in April.
