  1. I agree, but Madden takes hell for it and he's much funnier.
  2. He's ok, not the best. He states the obvious as much as Madden but nobody notices or cares or quotes him on it because his name isn't Madden.
  3. So throw the bank at him because the Pats hit the lottery w/ Brady; great.
  4. Regarding Schaub: When was he drafted and what is the reason besides the one Pats game last year everyone loves him?
  5. Awesome slam. Because ya know, that's only been brought up 1,785,396 fewer times than "4th&7" on this forum.
  6. Chatham/Davis/Dwight/Fauria/Givens........yawn. Vinatieri might've made the best kick ever in the Oakland game - otherwise he's going to the HOF because he made some kicks in domes when his team wasn't even behind and there was no pressure of losing the game with a miss (not that this doesn't make him better than Vanderchoke but he wasn't worth the $ IMO). I'll take the Pats defense over the Bengals any day twice on Sunday and three times if the game is important.
  7. Did you read my post? 2001 was a joke and I've said this many times - not the point.
  8. OK I firmly believe NE is the most underrated team in the league, there I said it. All I keep hearing is "OMG they lost McGinest", "watch out for Miami" and somehow they're not in the same league as Indy/Pittsburgh anymore after they suffered 5,000 injuries in their secondary the last two years and finished the season strong still. If Denver doesn't get a couple fluke bounces in that playoff game they win the SB again last year (yes I know NE was looooooong overdue for some bad luck/calls but still I'm talking about strictly last year). So go ahead and flame.
  9. Didn't realize Martin was hurt that bad. Who are Cryami's starting CB's now anyway? I hope I'm wrong but I think the impact of McGinest leaving is overstated. I mean who were Roman Phifer and Mike Vrabel before they played for NE? Remember when they signed Colvin (who was supposed to be their Spikes), he got hurt the 1st game and they didn't miss a beat - BB always finds a way to get LB production.
  10. What made Miller so good (bad) was the fact that Fouts so obviously couldn't stand him. My favorite moment was an int in a Pats-Jets game (Otis Smith maybe?) and Miller says: "every time you think this guy's washed up he comes up with a big pick". Fouts immediately jumps in with: "Actually Dennis that's only his 2nd pick in the last 4 years" followed by a solid 5 seconds of dead air before Al Michaels changed the subject and pretended like nothing happened.
  11. Yeah she is smokin. Fortunately she does more than baseball. Nice picture though obviously photoshopped.
  12. Tex, You've mentioned this before and I've generally agreed that most people irrationally hate most announcers. But Mike Patrick was horrific - perhaps my hatred from him stems from the fact that I want to grab his throat for sucking Coach K's wang during college hoops season. So glad he's out of the NFL. Kornheiser - no problem with him in general but he got off to a shakey start tonight. "How can you fumble on national TV?" Like guys try harder not to fumble on Monday night? Whatever, he's still green so I'll give him time. Theismann - sometimes I love him for having the balls to rip referees and question why teams don't throw deep more given how many bad interference flags are thrown. But other times he's really annoying with his "I had a chance to talk to offensive coordinator Jack Mehoff last night and we talked much about nothing" comments which he throws out there a dozen times per game. Madden is good - people hate him because it's the cool thing to do IMO. He has some valid points and many of his comments people criticize are meant to be toungue&cheek and people just take him and probably life way too seriously. Dan Dierforf - I used to hate when he was on MNF because he always seemed to be pulling for the Dolphins vs. the Bills in the Marino/Kelly days. Since he's been teamed w/ Endberg on CBS I've grown to like him quite a bit. Has some solid constructive criticism and seems like a down to earth guy that would talk to you for hours if you ran into him at a bar. Phil Simms - can't stand him. Has he ever criticized anybody ever? Coach? Player? Ref? Fan? Anyone? Ever? Randy Cross - is God awful no question.
  13. Miss Elizabeth rules! And the Brain too - phenominal commentator. Man they're trying way too hard to generate heat w/ this Edge storyline. Just pull the face/heel double switch w/ Cena already and get it over with.
  14. BTW if you feel like laughing at Lex Luger (and who doesn't really?) check out these classic clips: Luger's opponent doesn't sell LOL
  15. Hah, I hate Hogan but I really didn't get into it until his famous NWO heel turn. It was so gay that Savage always had to dump to him when he was such a better wrestler.
  16. Thanks for reminding me; I forget it's on every other week, though it really does suck now. I spent a whole day last week searching old matches on youtube - some good stuff there.
  17. I haven't seen any NBC productions yet but I like Costas. Also, Michelle Tafoya is just way too good at her job. What good is a sideline reporter if you can't make fun of her? Where's the hot airhead sideline chick?
  18. It's ESPN aj. Yeah, I thought Tirico had fallen off the face of the earth and he's really nerdy but not bad; anybody's better than Patrick. Yes, Theismann still annoying. Still early obviously but Kornheiser so far is Dennis Milleresque. Are these the Vikings new uni's?
  19. I saw him playing in the 4th Qtr of the Eagles game Thursday night and thought "WTF how far has this guy fallen?"
  20. Haha, yeah the competition is ridiculous these days - there was like a dozen to chose from; I just figured they were all more or less the same.
  21. In a 14 team fantasy league you'd be stupid not to consider him at the end of the 1st round, providing the top 10 RB's are gone. He's going to get all the carries for the Bills, so unlike a lot of other guys you don't have to waste a later pick on a handcuff. In the magazine I got he's rated behind Warrick Dunn, Ruben Droughns and Curtis Martin, so I don't consider that overrated. Maybe the Bills fans he is, but that's true for any team's fans.
  22. Was he playing man-to-man? I thought it was a zone.
  23. Really it's at Hamilton? Oh, well it should be a good game then.
  24. Damn those fairweather fans participating in the preseason game thread on Saturday night!
