  1. Nonsense...lets hire Tom Osborne and run the wishbone.
  2. Not surprising.
  3. Brady wasn't a good downfield thrower until 2003 though. You don't think the Bears can win with Pennington?
  4. On a bad team (which the Bills & Jets are) I'd rather have upside also. On a good team not so much. You mentioned Brad Johnson, who is clearly better than both; but to me he's a lot closer to Pennington than JP.
  5. Yes it's a team game and Tikki Barber last week and Rudi Johnson today ran for a combined ~60 yards vs. 150 from McGahee today. Does this count for anything? What about the fact that the Steelers & Eagles on the road are 6,000 times tougher than the Jets at home?
  6. The first fumble really really needs to be challenged. There are just too many unknowns with respect to refs interperating the tuck rule, which was evident in the Panthers-Vikings game last week. The others I don't really care about. I'm guessing they didn't show any good replays of the defensive TD before the Jets kicked the PAT. The Reed catch was simply not conclusive and a 2nd half time out was pretty important at that point.
  7. Great point. Can't believe these idiots are ripping a poor performance vs. a crappy defense with a good running game at home. Especially given the tremendous relevancy that a guy who threw 32 TD's last year turned the ball over and threw 4 TD's without much of a running game vs. the angry defending champions in a road win.
  8. Like I said, Week 3 vs. Atlanta last year all over again. McGahee runs for 140+, improbable 2nd life at the end down by 8(last year ATL muffed a punt, this time an onside kick) and how do we respond with that momentum at home vs. a crappy defense? Nothing, absolutely nothing. It's over.
  9. The JP era is over. He sucks. That is all.
  10. I agree, the Jets made a good play.
  11. The coaches did some dumb things today, but I thought Fairchild mixed it up pretty well when they down 11, especially since they only had a couple more minutes with the wind. As Jaworski always says, points ultimately come out of the passing game.
  12. True, but the same thing happened last week not taking advantage of 1st half field position and only leading 3-0. There's just no excuse for getting schooled on both sides of the ball in the 2nd half.
  13. Good point. I knew Miami was overrated but they suck a lot more than even I though.
  14. Me too. Brilliant game with one bad play and he sucks. I can only imagine if JP was held to the same standard.
  15. He missed a block, it happens. He's the best player on the field.
  16. Sounds an awful lot like Week 3 at home last year.
  17. I'm going to start praying at this point. If there's anything worse than listening to Randy Cross during a loss I really don't know what it is.
  18. As hard as it is to believe, last week was the anomaly of the Denney/Kelsay era; not the previous 4 years.
  19. Seriously? Wind or no wind it's 4th&3 from the 35. Going for it >>>> Fake FG > Kick FG.
  20. Fair enough. But is it safe to say they knew they would go for it on 4th down a couple plays prior? Pretty inexplicable that they didn't make the decision to run it twice on 3rd down; and the HC bears some responsibility for that IMO whether he calls the plays or not.
  21. I agree it was a fumble, but you're talking about NFL refs. If you saw the Panthers-Vikings game last week, that's obviously worth risking a time out.
  22. Don't forget 2nd&3 pass, 3rd&3 pass, 4th&3 fake FG....horrible. But but but he's not meathead.
