  1. Yep, and anyone who didn't take LT2 with the 1st pick must want to kill themselves.
  2. If by 'a couple years' you mean five then yes. He's not the same player.
  3. He's always been a stand-up guy with the media. That's great, but doesn't mean much if he doesn't play well next week.
  4. Did your league scoreboard have enough digits on it to cover all of Chambers' gaudy stats today?
  5. How does Denver get calls vs. NE? We got to hire Shannahan somehow.
  6. He has good pocket presence and I thought that was his biggest asset. As far as throwing, he basically threw a couple quick slants to Coles and watched Washington out of the backfield look like Thurman Thomas after the catch against our defense. He has a great playfake too, but we already knew that.
  7. Well, that's a 13 point net at home against a lousy defense aided by a strong running game. I give him some credit for the 1st TD, though its one every starting QB should make. The 2nd TD was borderline garbage against a prevent D and it was followed up by the worst clutch series ever which was clearly 100% his fault. I thought some of his most impressive plays resulted in incompletions: such as the deep ball to Price that preceeded the fake FG, and a step-up in the pocket + throw to Evans in the endzone, which was overthrown a bit.
  8. I don't have C.Jax on my team, but of course BOTH opponents this week had TJ freaking Housh Oh, and Eli Manning. Seattle, can you not mail it in defensively that early next time, so there aren't 25 garbage points scored against me? Thanks.
  9. Short and accurate. You should average more than one post per 6 months.
  10. They gave up almost 500 yards to the Bills offense. I think their defense sucks and their running game sucks. Pennington & their WR's are obviously better than people gave them credit for, but I don't think that's going to net them more than 6 or 7 wins.
  11. Yeah, absurd discussion really. Aaron Schobel isn't going to outrun Leon Washington because the Bills have momentum.
  12. I'm not a fan of 15 yard punts, which is typically what happens when you punt from the 35, last week's Miami anomaly not withstanding.
  13. It could see kicking PAT if it's 35-30 with 14 minutes left. But yeah, in that sort of game, going for the 2 is a no-brainer. The parlay of missing the 2pter, then the Browns scoring a TD, then the Ravens scoring a TD and then making a hypothetical game-tying conversion is remote to say the least.
  14. I'm ok with that. You're right - 3 turnovers with 90 yards would be a problem, but at least he made some plays. The last drive was just baffling to me - I thought he showed much more poise in the clutch vs. Carolina last year (his 4th down sideline throw was on target then) even though he ultimately was picked on that drive. Playoffs....playoffs? I just hope we can win another game
  15. Fine, I can go along with that. Do you honestly think a non-negligable percentage of people on this board share this evaluation of him on this game though? I mostly see people berating our RB, coaches, the weather, and using Carson Palmer's poor 4 TD performance against the defending champs on the road to justify JP's poor play.
  16. Yeah, there is middle ground between 'bad' and 'perfect'. But JP apologists pretend otherwise by using these tired straw-man comments.
  17. Yep. Covered the +6 though
  18. Did you see our last possession?
  19. I would say less or equal to the number of "coaching/McGahee/weather" excuses.
  20. Because Greg Williams isn't our coach anymore? Personally I'm a big math guy; and trotting either your punter or FG kicker onto the field in that spot is absurd IMO. Don't ask me to explain the pass/pass/fake FG sequence. I was a huge advocate of kicking a FG vs. NE, although that opinion of mine wouldn't have changed if the Pats had gone 3&out instead of driving 93 yards. Bottom line is our defense can't give up a TD every time the offense and/or coaches screws up.
  21. Miami 13-10 over Tennesee? Umm never mind. Back to 5-11?
  22. Any play that doesn't work is going to change the momentum. Criticism of the bootleg and most of this other stuff is just hindsight IMO. It seems pretty clear to me that they should've taken two downs to run the ball when it was 3rd&3 rather than throw and then fake a FG; but there's no way you kick a 53 yd FG on 4th&3.
  23. That was only one possession.
