  1. I totally agree - your original post says it all - two 3rd down completions set up the first score, not 3rd down draw plays. Of course that doesn't stop people from making just plain false generalizations as to why the game was close.
  2. THERE IS A 0.00% CHANCE A 19-17 LEAD HOLDS UP WITH 6 MINUTES LEFT; WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND?
  3. Totally agree. It had to be the least important go-ahead 4th Qtr FG ever.
  4. I wish I could cut & paste the 1,000 times I said that he sucked in 2001. He was incredible in 2003 with no running game. But hooray for the internet; lets lump 6 seasons together and have an extreme opinion!
  5. I think the "figured him out" argument refers to him being good in 98 and sucking in 99; not withstanding a well-played "run for the bus" meaningless game @Seattle in 2000 (but only Flutie gets credit for such games and not RJ). The reason nobody listens to your Brady comments is because they're stupid.
  6. I've read a lot of retarded arguments, but I'm not sure I've seen somebody openly admit they're using blatant hindsight. It's like if a defense committs a post-play foul after a TD, and the offense chooses to assess that foul on the kickoff, and the PAT hits the goalpost....clearly the coach was stupid not to use the penalty yards on the PAT.
  7. I hope you guys go 19-0. If you lose in the reg. season however I'll be pulling for another postseason choke.
  8. Absolutely not. If/when we ever get a QB it'd be nice if he had a chance though
  9. I agree with all your points about the defense. They played better than anyone could've imagined; Crowell & Clements were outstanding. Enter the inevitable "but"....... This was the 3rd game this year (@NE & Detroit) we gave up the ball with 5+ minutes left down 1 score and never got the ball back. You could say it's the 4th time if you count the Jets game when Kevan freaking Barlow ran it down our throats on their last possession when it was an 8pt game. This is a pretty disturbing trend.
  10. Exactly. The draw play is a no-brainer from 3rd&22 on the 35. But 3rd&goal from the 9 when you've completed three 3rd downs on the same drive made me puke.
  11. Sounds about right. Who are Buffalo fans to compliment this attitude?
  12. But LT had 4 TD's! 4! Don't argue with the fantasy geeks
  13. Good response. I think one of our problems is that between our FB, 2nd TE and 3rd WR, none of them are really any good so there's no clear-cut formation that puts our best players on the field. Also fwiw the Patriots have never really had an identity on either side of the ball, but they seem to have smarter players than us.
  14. I hear "identity" a lot and I have no idea what it means.
  15. Terrence McGee?
  16. But the idea that those 6 QB's suck isn't nearly as plausible as the 40 OLmen in that timespan sucking Moreover, they're the same people saying all summer: "Reyes/Fowler can't possibly not be an upgrade from Bennie/Teague!".
  17. Finally won a couple low scoring games this week; woot my lucks a changin. Palmer scored 37 of my 72 points thanks to Harrison, Evans, KJones & RWilliams not doing much....how do the Lions not score vs. SF at home? Glad I didn't give up Driver for Reggie Brown.
  18. Totally agree. Either let him play or don't play him at all. We're not going to "learn" anything about the kid playing games like that.
  19. No...the argument is that it's 1,000 times easier for the Colts to get a FG than a TD. That's what I'm getting at with the ">'s". I'll just link the play-by-play log and leave it at that. This notion that running draws on 3rd&5 on the 18 was what kept us in the game is a joke. We got our 1st FG by completing passes on 3rd down. The draw play that set up the 3rd FG was NOT REMOTELY CLOSE to the same situation because it was a 3rd&20 and we were on the brink of FG range. This is probably the dumbest debate I've ever taken part in online, no offence or anything.
  20. 7pt lead >>5pt lead>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>2pt lead.
  21. WTF? What don't you understand here? When you have an easy 35 yd FG with a chance to take a cushy 2pt lead against a Colts offense that can't score, you take it. None if this go for the TD crap that any decent coach would do which - if resulting in a sack - could set up a near-impossible 41 yd kick in windy conditions with a kicker who may have missed once last year.
  22. It really looked like the Kansas St. coach was trying to lose that game. First he kicks a 51 yard FG on 4th&1, then he calls for a pass with 40 seconds left when Texas has no time outs Miraculously they both worked out.
  23. There's no need for hyperbole here.
