  1. Doesn't change the fact that everyone would be blaming the OL for the sack if the QB didn't unload the ball.
  2. No, 10 yards is enough. I'd be with you if the refs were better. The problem is that they miss the blatant push-offs and call the ticky-tack stuff. The A. Johnson shove in the back is exactly the sort of obvious fould that is never called; but miraculously was caught this time.
  3. If JP held onto the ball for another .3 seconds on those 1st Qtr TD's, the OL would've sucked, but since he didn't, he "had all day"
  4. RJ 2000 in KC. Yeah, I'm not carried away.
  5. Totally agree - going for it is the correct move there regardless of the outcome. However, they did throw the ball on 3rd&long deep in their own end on Evans' 2nd TD- all the hindsight trolls would be bitching about DJ not being conservative enough if something bad had happened.
  6. OMFG horrible decision to punt.
  7. Yeah, it was incomplete....clearly a bad call.
  8. But they forced those fumbled snaps vs. GB....right? Why do you have to be so miserable; be a fan and don't ciriticize anything after a win!
  9. Why is Jauron throwing on 3rd down from his endzone? Doesn't he know we have a young QB with a bad OL?
  10. Are the Pats & Fish your 2nd & 3rd favorite NFL teams?
  11. Yeah, I don't really like either team but will be in the minority hoping for a rematch. Not really interested in seeing USC's sorry defense getting bombed for 60 points.
  12. I think they'll lose @WV and I'm not surprised they're only -6 a week after their biggest win ever. I just think it's silly to say they were lucky to win the Louisville game - if anything L'ville was lucky it was that close. There is no "we'll see" - you might as well say "I'm going to wait till they lose and then say I told you so".
  13. What game were you watching? L'ville did exactly what a road team needs to do, which is get a big early lead (and they did it with a couple fluke plays) and then got beaten up on both sides of the ball. It's not fair to just chalk that up to the atmosphere - Penn St. played Michigan under ideal conditions too.
  14. There's a difference between what should happen and what will happen. Cal-USC is a big game tonight. If USC wins, the winner of the Notre Dame-USC game will play for the national title. If Cal wins, Florida will control their own destiny. If Michigan loses a close game though they'd deserve a rematch way more than ND; and I like ND better.
  15. You think McGee can return two kicks inside the redzone? I dunno, could be tough.
  16. I'd say it's more like middle of the pack in 'beating themselves' and near the top of the league in sucking. Interesting that we beat ourselves in a game which we threw for 4 yards in Indy but we forced Favre to botch 2 snaps in the process of getting outgained by 600 yards.
  17. I can't resist commenting on this every week myself. Classic Don Criqui game.
  18. Yeah, but it is very very unusual for an NFL team to be +2 in turnovers including a defensive TD plus a 90 yard kickoff return and lose the game. The gap has to be as wide as Bills-Colts to lose under those circumstances. I mean, a mediocre offense has no problems winning that game with that kind of performance from the other 2 units. I still share your concerns about the defense because it's clearly not a one-game thing.
  19. I don't bet college - I should since it's easier to beat than the NFL - but I don't follow it as close. If you remove the preseason rankings of #1 vs. #15, I'm having a tough time figuring why OSU is clearly the better team here. I know people hate Notre Dame and think they're grossly overrated, but to me that win was at least as impressive as Texas. Since both didn't play Wisconsin and the rest of the Big 10 stinks you have to go to Penn St. to find a decent common opponent - and despite the final score which was misleading in both games I thought Michigan was more impressive in a tougher spot on the road in primetime without Manningham. Obviously common opponents can be a dangerous way to handicap but I think it has a little more validity in college than the NFL where it is totally meaningless. I also don't think homefield is that big of a factor based on the history of this game.
  20. You forgot "Fowler/Reyes can't possibly not be upgrades".
  21. Why do we have to argue just to argue? I don't think anyone doesn't see that the offense isn't a joke, or the bigger problem. It is very unusual to see an NFL team kill the last 5+ minutes when the defense needs to get the ball back though.
  22. You're correct again, and a little late
  23. Aiye, good QB's are usually a good play against teams who stop the run.
  24. You're surrpised the Bills aren't favored against an NFL team on the road?
