  1. I agree, though I still would put TE up there w/ DT. Royal having 2 good games doesn't change that for me (remember Campbell vs. the Rams a couple years ago?)
  2. Every time these guys are brought up they're misquoted & taken out of context ad nauseum; that's what gets old.
  3. Me too
  4. I have to agree with you here. In the battle of "QB's who just win football games" Young & Girrard did their best to lose it. I was waiting for Doug Fruite to make an appearance off the bench to complete the media circus.
  5. I think that demonstrates a lack of confidence in themselves more than anything else.
  6. He did a nice job of quitting by punting down 21 w/ 8 minutes left.
  7. We really need to draft a punt catcher next year.
  8. Justin Armour(sp?) And the Browns were def. a popular SB pick that year. They won on a Christie FG though after he had originally missed but it didn't count because Carl Banks (or maybe Pepper Johnson....1 of Bellicheck's Giants cronnies) called time out just before the snap
  9. RB is the easiest and it's not close.
  10. this is the correct answer.
  11. That's what it says on my email too. Wish it was on @4 though; as there are huge fantasy implications across the 1:00 games and the only remotely watchable game @4 is Iggles-Giants.
  12. That's a good one - and I never blamed Reed for doing that given the circumstances.
  13. Nice post - don't forget the Giants had like 3 practice squad players starting in the secondary that game, and our vaunted offense scored more than 16 points on the road in an impressive two games all year; none of them against a defense the caliber of Tennessee's. I don't feel like re-visiting the pathetic 1-sided officiating in the last 2 minutes of the 1st half, but it was very reminiscent of USA vs. USSR '72 olympics in Munich. To be fair to the midget though, part of the road wildcard game was just bad luck in that the Colts picked that year to win 13 games. Figures that whenever the Patsies go 11-5 they get a 1st round bye
  14. I agree except for the last part: overwhelming talent?
  15. Come up with a CBS acronym so you actually get on tv.
  16. Yep
  17. Evans and it's not all that close.
  18. At first I thought it was a standard "taken out of context" media creation story but from what I heard of the conversation it did sound like the worst joke ever.
  19. Nobody knew the Browns were moving at the time of the 95 game. Nice to know you have your 'fuggin' facts straight though.
  20. A ton of breaks from the refs as well. I love how people always pretend like it's impossible to win @Chi when they've lost like 18 straight home playoff games. The rest of the NFC sucks though so who knows.
  21. I think it was more than a few years ago. As I've said before, some day the math research on 4th down will have the same affect sabrmetrics has had on baseball.
