  1. Where are all those people who thought Dallas would be Detroit today? I knew Dallas was the flavor of the month. Look at me I'm smart!
  2. I don't understand why they don't have a 5yard penalty like they do for kickers.
  3. Same here. Just so happens today's games suck and I feel like I'm wasting $ on it (currently watching Steelers-Bengals because it feels like the least uninteresting game?). Figures the one time I would've preferred the Bills were playing at 1:00
  4. I like how every time these draft discussions come up, advocate of position A will point to John Jones who plays position B who was a 1st round bust or a late round steal. I mean Colston worked out, good for the Saints. I'm not necessarily set on taking a WR, but it seems to me that the % of WR's who are really good who were 1st round picks are about as high as any other position. Perhaps we should just sign an undrafted FA from Texas A&M to fill the DT void? It seems like a fairly straightforward "take the best available player" draft to me with as many holes as we have.
  5. Well no argument here. Everyone is trying to distinguish what makes Young so superior to Vick, forgetting that the exact same things were being said about Vick in 2002 when Atl became the first team to win a playoff game @Lambeau (6 GB turnovers helped, but nobody ever mentioned that). "This guy just wins", "he raises the level of play around him", etc. Not that I'd hate having him as my QB given his potential and the putrid state of QB's in the league, but conventional wisdom that a young talented player will get better each year doesn't always work out that way. IMO the 2007 Titans will be a good candidate as this year's preseason overhyped Dolphins.
  6. I'm going Lee and it's not even close. Best player on the team, flat gets it done, and not a punk to boot.
  7. Andre Davis with a nasty catch for the win
  8. I think it's one of the funniest shows I've seen for all those reasons.
  9. I spoke to Russ Brandon a few years ago who confirmed the Bills didn't like hosting primetime games because so many fans don't come from Buffalo. But Donahoe said many times publically during his era that the team welcomed such games. I have no idea what the current take on this issue is.
  10. "Kyle in Raleigh" = Lenny P?
  11. Correct...the PAT was something 31 other coaches would've (correctly) done.
  12. Honestly, who cares? I remember Gregg Williams on Rome after '01 saying they lost x games by >3 points and missed 2 FG's in each of those games. If you watch the Lions & Packers game w/out homer glasses it's pretty clear that the losing team was closer to winning the 24-10 game than the 20-17 game. Also the Jags game where we gave up 200+ rushing yards. As for Indy...If we were ever -2 in turnovers in a game & gave up a defensive TD and won by a point would that be considered a game "we should've lost"? I think we'd be saying the other team was lucky to be close.
  13. Yeah that's the clear winner.
  14. Ahemm, so yeah, do we agree that Royal sucks now?
  15. rofl, yeah this is pathetic. "ZOMG dooooomed".
  16. Seriously, WTF?
  17. Did you just use TMQ to make a point?
  18. No prob - that's what I'm here for For whatever reason the guy creates polarizing opinions: he's either God's gift or sucks ass. Last year, the popular opinion (particularly among black analysts) was that the coaches did a bad job of not playing to his strengths: that he's never going to be Manning/Brady and they shouldn't pretend such, but he can still be an effective QB in his own non-traditional way. I tended to agree with this. Of course now that the coaches are "letting Vick be Vick" as they say, this article seems to think that he can be Manning/Brady if given the opportunity, which is clearly absurd.
  19. Honestly, football fans not understanding "over/underrated" has to be somewhere between death & taxes in life's sure bets. It's actually really hard to see that he's "the most overrated QB ever" when ~50% of the population feels the same way as you.
  20. I guess I really don't consider Travis a "key to the game" since it's pretty much a given at this point that we can't stop any running game that doesn't totally suck. The offense just needs to protect the ball and have Evans make a play or two; and that's basically enough to beat the mediocre teams in this league who don't get points from their passing game.
  21. You obviously don't understand that he "just wins football games".
  22. You'd probably be surprised how much the players suck at voting.
