  1. Who cares about emotion - funny how everyone said the same thing about Brady when they lost to Denver. Eli sucks because he sucks and that's all.
  2. I don't think it helps that NE is better at every position save from WR and special teams.
  3. They actually expected to win today?
  4. OK 'Rich Kotite of posting'.
  5. I honestly thought the spot was insanely generous immediately.
  6. You didn't realize I was intentionally jinxing the Cowgirls? Shows what you know
  7. They're still going to win. Hopefully the "Seattle = toughest place to play" nonsense stops after their season ends at home vs. a crappy team for the 2nd time in 3 years.
  8. Herm has a clue how to defend him - as showed in the 2002 wildcard game drubbing in the Meadowlands. Too bad Trent Green played so Kordell-like. Baltimore opens as a 4pt favorite fwiw; I expect them to win fairly comfortably.
  9. Because all of those teams were so awesome pre and post Marty
  10. It only would've tied the game fwiw. It's also on espn2 right now for any historical junkies interested. As far as the Chargers go I worry more about the QB than the coach. They remind me a lot of Pittsburgh 2 years ago when Rothlisburger started hot, faded towards the end of the reg. season; and that carried over into the postseason where they were lucky to beat the Jets and got rolled by NE. As for the NFC, I like how there's a "different best team" every two weeks. It was NYG, then Dallas, then NO, now Philly....meanwhile the Bears are 13-2 in games they've tried. I'll go with Kzoo Mike on NE over Chi; but I'm not really feeling this fashionable KC over Indy pick given that the Chiefs suck on the road.
  11. Manning is basically the MVP every year, as they're not a .500 team without him, especially this year. I could never bring myself to vote for a RB, but at least LDT isn't a total fraud like Alexander last year.
  12. Heh, well it wasn't supposed to be a blowout - Vegas had the game about even. I know we were shorthanded, but Boeheim pretty much always plays like that anyway; it's not like Mike Jones would've made a difference.
  13. Should I bother bumping this? Another game another home loss. WTF? Not surprising since they were underdogs, but still... The backcourt offense is the only part of the team that looks decent. The perimeter D is horrid. The interior offense only scores off guard penetration and can't create any of their own shots (this part isn't surprsing I guess, as it's been the case for years except for Warrick). They have to work hard for every bucket while the opponent regularly gets double digit "garbage points". They actually played pretty well in the 1st half of this game, but should've been up more than 1. Poojer - I disagree alot with your assessment of Harris. His offensive game is clearly not polished to this point, but he's a good worker. BTW, Aaron Gray is extremely overrated. Nice backcourt for Pitt though, which is unusual for them.
  14. I'm like that too sometimes. Rooted for Oakland over Tampa and NE over Philly for basically that sole reason. This yr I'd still like to see the Chargers though, because of Wade/Butler/Smith, and also LT2 has been one of my fav. players since before he became a fantasy superstud.
  15. Yeah, I didn't read it either, but I agree the discussion is crap for two reasons: A) everyone's opinion seems to change week-to-week. B) it's not fantasy football. In real football, the RB position just isn't that important in the grand scheme of things. LT2 I think proved he was a great player prior to Brees becoming good in a crappy offense, but as long as neither him or Sammy Morris is your starting back I don't think it really matters. I mean the difference between the 3rd best RB in the league and the 15th best is extremely marginal.
  16. My thoughts as well... Amazing to me that so many like the Colts, when the logic pretty much epitomizes everything we hated about Miami in the '90's. "Well I think this will be their year because "Ma---- has to win eventually even though their defense sucks".
  17. "Lon, the downward trend is worse than my marriages".
  18. great post. Seriously, the NFL really is untouchable.
  19. Tough slate for sure. The bright side is Pittsburgh & Philly since opening their new stadiums haven't had much of a HFA.
  20. IMO Denver has been overachieving for the last few years. For the life of me I couldn't understand how they won 12 games last year. Miami I thought was the most overrated team pre-season so not them. Pittsburgh & Cincy both had brutal schedules and the Steelers weren't the best team last year anyway. Indy is a ridiculous option having won 12 games. I'm tempted to say Seattle having returned largely the same team from last year in still a crappy division; but of course they've been hurt by injuries. I dunno, tough call. Edit: I agree w/ Yoooo. duh, yeah Carolina is #1
  21. I've never liked Saunders. This Jarrett guy comes off as a real punk - you can tell he'll be another prima donna NFL WR. I like Lee Evans a lot. Have I mentioned that lately?
  22. I dunno, nice run by A-train on 3rd&9 down 9 pts with 9 minutes left. Way to quit on the season Jauron. I mean, does an int or sack hurt us that much more than a punt at that point?
  23. Oh, in that case great thread.
