  1. Haven't been listening, but from reading the comments it sounds like Jim Brinson has resurfaced?
  2. Gotta love all these Edwards/Hardy picks... I think it's pretty solid though. Don't worry about a TE until the bye week.
  3. lol worst burn-attempt bump ever.
  4. We don't run the football very well.
  5. There's one quote that I like: "Is it me or is this Colts team look average without Peyton Manning?"
  6. I didn't want to respond to the "forced throw" post out of fear of being punked again.... he was kidding, right?
  7. Haha Deion looks so stupid now after saying "Sorgi is a big key to this game". Did they do any research?
  8. If anybody's TD's besides Brady's are bound to decline it's Roethliburger's. I can't emphasize enough how much I hate that pick. Maybe slightly less than the Colts and more than the Clark picks. I just think you got awful value across the board except for Coles, Bulger, Scheffler, and maybe White.
  9. Good thing I countered it with my own sarcasm so that I can pretend like I was just playing along.
  10. Sorry I don't know when or how I became this huge fantasy dork. It's like the last 10 years of crap have jaded me into that horrible fans who follows it as much as their team. I really don't know how some of you guys in your 50's have never lit yourselves on fire.
  11. I don't think there's any question Moss's #'s will decline, but the point remains he is still more likely to outperform his WR counterparts than Gore is of the other RB's that were available, at least imo.
  12. Yah I hate taking Gore there because IMO the dropoff from Addai to him is greater than the one between him and the next 7-8 RB's. Would much rather go with Moss or Manning there and reevaluate in the 2nd. That #7 hole is a horrible spot in a 12+ team league, but in 10 or less you have some more flexibility as far as not reaching on RB's.
  13. Very pedestrian team imo. You mention your shaky WR's - they'd be fine if you had more studs elsewhere but you really don't. I'm not even as down on Gore & LJ as others are because I think the previous year's 1st round busts like that can present some good value, but it looks like you took them in the first couple rounds. Granted you have some good depth at RB, but that's usually not hard to do in a 10team leauge. Not sure who was available with your first couple picks but I would've strongly considered taking a top flight QB/WR.
  14. Got to credit Dan Henning for grooming him into a nice backup 11 years down the road.
  15. Seriously? That defense was super conservative (Peyton Manning even said as much) and IIRC they were near the bottom in takeaways. Doesn't mean it was the wrong philosophy for that personnel, or that it didn't work for them, but I'd bet they blitzed less than last year's D. As silvermike mentioned it really illustrates the imprtance of line play. Wade & co. definitely extracted the max out of that group.
  16. This is a clear strike against Leinart's progress since the Cardinals would've preferred him to win the job for obvious reasons. Of course none of the inevitable onslaught of "I told you so" cheerleaders in this thread will say anything about how they once favorably compared JP to Roethlisburger, especially when they can't even use the "he has a great OL" excuse anymore.
  17. They still won't have the worst offense in the division if this KC performance is any indication.
  18. I see - I just figured you had the 2nd pick. Your other keeper is Fitzgerald I guess?
  19. WR's are stacked obviously. Burress always gets taken earlier than I want to take him, but it looks like you got him late 4th, which is fine. I like that you went for youth and upside with your bench WR's. RB's are what they are for the most part - I don't really blame you for not reaching on one with the 2nd/3rd round picks and getting a pair of top 10 WR's instead. Depending on who was available in the 3rd I would've considered a QB like Romo/Brees/Palmer; and I'm a big AJ guy. As is your QB's are ok, but there's not enough firepower for a 10team league to overcome an injury to Peterson.
  20. A lot of the players came over to embrace Collins - which is really cool to anyone familiar w/ the '72 travesty... The downside is not being able to put his "objective analyst" hat on.
  21. I think I've already had enough of the Kobe ballwashing. Some big shots, but Collins can't point out that his dumb plays were a huge reason the lead was cut to 2 in the first place.
  22. I really have no idea why Kidd is on the team. He is what they needed 4 years ago instead of Marbury. Now that they actually have young, unselfish PG's like Williams & Paul who can do everything Kidd can do and shoot better - he's getting minutes. WTF
  23. Yah it's nice to see a good game but we're still a lock to win this.
  24. Olympic boxing is tough to take seriously when things like this can happen.
  25. You: Solid QB platoon. Nice RB depth. Best WR's obviously - Holt is one of my favorite value-picks this year. Hard to believe your TE's can suck that bad as deep as the position is this year. GF: QB's are nice. I like SJax more than others, lousy RB depth though. WR's are a mixed bag w/ no studs & good depth. I like Megatron & Holmes a lot but I'm not sure where she took them. I think it's a joke that Roddy White is going ahead of Evans in every non-homer draft but he's a nice #4 WR. I didn't realize Tim Wottley was a Jets fan. Bufftex: TJones is another one of my favorite value-picks this year; he's going to score more and be a top 15 RB. I also like Turner enough that I could see sitting Lynch if he has a terrible matchup. For some reason he forgot to remember how much of a fluke TD stats can be when he reached on Jennings though. Wayne is the only WR on the planet with zero question marks, but he has no depth there. I have a man-crush on both Brees & Palmer and if I don't get either one, I'm never taking a guy like Garrard because I think they'll be QB's just as good 5 rounds later. Nonetheless I guess I like your team by a hair but she has more upside than you. Bufftex could've had the best team if he didn't botch his WR picks. I'm surprised he didn't take Josh Reed & Roscoe Parrish. I think this is a 12 team league in which case the rosters are pretty good, but there are some undraftable guys in there too.
