  1. I've been watching tv all day...haven't heard anyone say this.
  2. I suppose Bill accused them of cheating too?
  3. I might be a little biased in that I liked the Cardinals before the season - but they've done nothing to indicate they're a bad team in 3 games. I suspect that will be close to a pick 'em in Vegas.
  4. Zing....I'm just going to give the benefit of the doubt in that he's the new crayonz instead of being that dumb. I still think Seattle sucks, but the Jax win looks pretty good. Their only other non-Bills game was a 7pt road loss to Tennessee, who they also lost to at home on opening day last year.
  5. That's the most impressive win of any team this year imo.
  6. 3rd&2 from the Raiders 37 - obvious 4down territory. Run it twice please. The pass 3rd down + bizzare apparent trick play before a time out + 4th down completion ultimately worked (prior to the Evans fumble) - but it was stupid. Really really stupid.
  7. This season is a little different in that we might actually be going somewhere - but this pretty much why I always argued against giving him more carries last year. The guy is a stud and he's going to get Earl Campbell'd out of the league sooner than we'd like w/ the beating he takes.
  8. Anyone see the Marian Barber fumble just now? Fumbles, foot touches out of bounds while still in contact with the ball as the GB guy is recovering.... As I remember the call that gave NE the 2001 division title, that should be Dallas ball.
  9. If you just pause the tape at the moment Lee's knee hit and pretend you don't know who popped up with the ball (or show it to someone who is watching it for the 1st time and doesn't know), I don't think any neutral observer would call that an int.
  10. I don't use this symbol often but, Look Ma, I'm an attention whore! Nice game Josh. Never said you don't belong in the league, but you are still a below average NFL #2WR.
  11. I spent much of the 2nd half wondering if I would've rather had the Bills or Giants in my suicide pool.... Just saw the highlights on nbc - wtf was Palmer doing at the end of regulation? And.....a Felix Jones 60yd run. That's a great play when you have GB +3 and Romo as your FF starter.
  12. I'm not going to say I wouldn't be upset, but I'd imagine if that happened to us it'd be a fairly large distraction from other factors that lost the game. They had only 2 time outs with 1:11 left on 1st&10 so they would've actually only had about 20 seconds - not "a minute or so". Not that there's any excuse not to give yourself a chance of a freak kickoff return, but realistically in the grand scheme of things, meh.
  13. He is surprisingly dumb for a HOF QB. With 2:15 left and the ball at midfield down by only 2 - is the clock really your enemy at that point? "They need to hurry up and run another play here!". Really Dan? Why?
  14. That was a horrid call. If you can't get a call against the Raiders at home, I guess you can't count on getting any calls ever.
  15. So umm, like I was sayin, go w/ Palmer @NYG.
  16. God damnit, shades of the Wade Phillips here. Finally put together a decent squad and we get the letdown + crappy special teams + get screwed by the refs combo.
  17. Schonert, please give your paycheck to Lynch. How do you not run twice on 3rd&2 from the 37?
  18. Tex - I'd start Palmer vs. the Browns at home next week regardless of what him & Trent do today and if he stinks it up that game, hit the eject button.
  19. This would be my first thought as well. Shannahan should've been coach of the year a few years ago for winning 12 with Plummer and no pass-rush. Better QB this year, but their defense is worse.
  20. And Oregon can thank Joe Tiller for their win.
  21. Maybe Kiffin will catch a bus on I-90 east on Sunday.
  22. I think you have to give Holt a shot as bad as the Hawks were vs. JT O'something last week. Fred Taylor is a strong flex option as well w/out Bob Sanders - I'd keep an eye on MJD's injury status.
  23. My only disagreement is on Ben. When you look at his 4 seasons and his nightmare 05-06 offseason of injuries, I think it is pretty clear that his horrid 06 was the anomaly. Another good season this year should erase any doubt of that. Otherwise I agree w/ most of your stuff. The "Romo in big games" knock is ridiculously overblown - people act as if he's choked away the top seed 3 years in a row. Him not sucking as much as Bledsoe as a 1st year QB was the reason they were in the playoffs 2 years ago; and in an underdog role he took them down the field with the game on the line in what is supposedly the toughest stadium in the league to play in. Yeah he choked on the FG hold, but I mean he doesn't hold FG's anymore - it was certainly a better performance than Eli's first playoff game - a shutout loss to Carolina at home. He could've done better in the Giants game, but he wasn't terrible - Brady obviously didn't fare much better against that defense. Rivers' stock basically went up tenfold by gutting out the title game @NE last year. I respect that as much as the next guy, but really he doesn't get the "big game" criticism because they played a Titans team that couldn't do anything offensively in the wildcard round, and then Volek beat the Colts. Meh... Cutler obviously has a lot of upside, but a lot to prove as well.
  24. Thanks for the heads up - looking forward to it. Are they only covering 1990? I saw the piece on the Chargers last night, and it looked like they covered multiple seasons. I didn't realize they lost at home in consecutive years (Houston & Oakland). I guess the Oilers game was before the "Renfroe Pittsburgh" game - Fouts threw 5 int's and they only lost by 3...ouch. I also noticed on profootballreference that the year they lost to in the cold @Cincy, they also got hammered by the Bengals at home in the reg. season, so maybe the weather isn't such a great excuse; though to be fair the players didn't seem to really whine about it.
