  1. Rex played with fire in signing a guy that injured a teammate, now he's inadvertently injuring his new ones. Yet a new curse for us bills fans.
  2. That's fair. I'll just never be able to justify paying top dollar for a rb. They also could've drafted a RB in the second round and plugged him in like a handful of teams do each year. I get there's no QBs out there, but I'd rather spend shady money to make a great o-line. I understand they went after some guys in FA, but without the McCoy investment they would've had the cash to land them I bet.
  3. I'll bet they are just fine with a great line ahead of them. Same could be said for ravens, patriots etc. Justin forsett, Blount
  4. I agree with you. While it seems like a good trade right now, the long-term implications will prove this trade to be a bad move. We will see a good player walk that could impact this team for significantly longer term than McCoy will. If the Bills don't make the playoffs this year, the trade for McCoy will look even worse. Running backs are easy to come by, good offensive linemen and corners are not and we will lose one because of McCoy. Also, McCoy is a proven running back in an entirely different scheme with a significantly better o-line, so there's question marks there as well. Time will tell, and I hope I'm wrong but a couple years from now I think we regret the McCoy trade.
  5. This, or perhaps they interviewed Mike yesterday and it went like this: "I'm in if my son comes as OC and you acquire cutler."
  6. While this article has valid points, it doesn't mention that the population in Buffalo has stabilized and is anticipating modest growth in the next few years. I could go on about why this will happen, but that's information you can find anywhere, start with www.buffalorising.com. I find it interesting that many replying to this post tend to justify their move out of Buffalo without being challenged or questioned on the decision. If you made the move and it's worked out for you, that's great to hear and you should be happy about your decision. Just don't let an article from a traditionalist writer cloud your judgement that Buffalo is indeed coming back, buffalo bills or not.
  7. Oh my bad, didn't realize devin mccourty is an all pro
  8. If you have to move a 22 year old to safety, he has no business playing in the NFL. Correction: 22 year old CB
  9. Coincidence? I think not. He was horrible prior to his injury and I mean horrrrrible. Might be too young to cut him but no reason for him to regain starting job if he returns. I will say that Gilmore and Mario have improved but the big play that Aaron Williams continually gave up has been minimized. Unfortunately, we're looking at yet another high draft pick spent on a CB next year as Buddy has missed again.
  10. Check that 2 mistakes. I really never thought I'd ever be defending Fitzpatrick lol!
  11. If people are looking for a flawless, mistake free game out of the QB, then you're probably not going to find it. Look around the league, even the best QBs throw picks, fumble etc. He made one costly mistake today, whereas the defense was a mess when they stepped on the field right until the end.
  12. I disagree. Naturally, everyone is talking about the pick because it happened late in the game. If he threw that pick in the 1st quarter, no one would be talking about it. I understand that's not how it goes, and it was extremely untimely, but he put his team in position to win this game. It was the defense that got torched on the ground, beat when it mattered in the air, and was just all around embarrassing.
  13. I am not a supporter of Fitzpatrick by any means, but he is not the reason for the outcome today. In fact, he was one one of the few reasons the Bills remained competitive until the end. Yes, the pick was extremely untimely, but overall he was very efficient and made plays when he needed too. 27 points on offense should get the job done. ...which brings me to the defense. Absolutely pathetic. It's actually regressed from last year! If Mario Willliams' injury isn't really affecting his play as poorly as he thinks, he may go down as the worst FA signing in franchise history. Absolutely no push on his end. No desire to win battles. Kyle Williams is the only guy that shows up week in, week out. The LBs and secondary may be the worst in the league as well. Go ahead, fire all the coaches, change the schemes, do whatever. What it comes down to is that aside from 2-3 players on defense, this unit is the worst in the league BY FAR.
  14. Essentially been a non-factor. More often then not, I see him try an outside speed rush and end up 5 yards past the pocket. His play thus far has been very Maybin-esque. Very concerning, hope he turns it around.t
  15. A group of 21 of us are heading to Cleveland Saturday morning (from Buffalo, Florida and Texas), and we're staying through Monday morning. I was looking for some suggestions in terms of pre-game parties on Saturday night, as well as tailgate parties (prior to the game) on Sunday morning. We'd love to meet up with a bunch of Bills fans! Anyone know of anything happenin??
