  1. Didn't we lose to scott mitchell??? and didn't herman moore score on a big pass off a flea-flicker? really doesn't add anything to the discussion just trying to see if i remember that game correctly...cuz i know we beat detroit a few years after that game when antwan smith had a huge game.
  2. Theo also had a blank check book...not really Ralph's MO.
  3. Yes you can...they make millions and if they dont play well you have to call them out instead of just letting them enjoy the good life and perform up to expectations. Mularkey IS the head coach...at least in title...so he definitely has the authority, but he was hired by TD who probably doesn't want to get run out of town by a coach with any type of demanding personality...MM would be stepping on TDs toes if he called out a player that TD picked up
  4. AH yes and I am glad that YOU are not the GM...comparing an over the hill receiver who short arms passes and drops others and can't keep his mouth shut in public about the QB situation to a QB who is the best this generation will see.
  5. But he'd be a high motor guy with a big (and possibly enlarged) heart. Stovall like i have said before is going to be a steal for someone in this draft. He's well spoken (not like our RB) in the interviews i've seen this year, and really dedicated himself to losing weight and being a great player this year and would be a great pick in the 2nd round or so, only because one good season of college football won't move him way up in the draft. He has speed and is a very good leaper oh yeah and he's 6-5 235. and another benefit is that he is playing this season under charlie weis in a sophisticated offense and he's thriving. He could develop into a number one WR in this league IMHO.
  6. His o-line is phenomenal which is why USC will roll Tejas, but the kid sets up blocks insanely well too. And even when plays do break down he finds yards. Yeah many of Barry Sanders' long plays were due to defenders not breaking down and wrapping up too . Get real this kid does everything well...he's a blocking machine in the pass game, he could dominate as a slot WR, and he's the best runner i have personally ever watched at the college level. Who was the last player to be a scoring threat everytime the ball was in his hands whether it was a run, catch or kick return? This kid is the real deal and "Cadillac's" stout 3.9 ypc is something Bush should top just because Cadillac isn't in his league with regards to talent, the thing that may hurt Reggie a bit (though his improv skills will still allow success regardless) is that he may have to run behind a sieve o-line for his first few years.
  7. I would like to see Rashad back there too. He is just more physical than vincent because he is a natural safety where TV plays safety like a cornerback.
  8. One mistake is ok...the boy is a freeeeeeeek! He would probably put up 100 yds rushing against our "stout" defense if USC played buffalo.
  9. The fake-qb sneak play worked last year in a game where it was used to kick an already battered and frustrated Seattle team in the head. I think we were up 14 when we used it last year after we had beat the piss out of their interior o-line on a few drives, as opposed to this season where we had done sh-- against their defense and the gimmick just compounded an already anemic start to the game. I don't mind gimmick plays it just seems this year they are not setup by previous plays making them poorly timed. Last weeks fake qb sneak = gilbride's Travis Henry dive right HB pass from the 8 yard line against the Patsies.
  10. I am a diehard ASU fan and still will not buy into the Snake hype until he proves he won't f*** up a big game for the rest of his team (outside of the 97 Rose Bowl where the coaching staff cinched that deal up for OSU).
  11. outstanding! From my "sources" here in TX, MW doesn't even care if he gets cut because he's already made enough to retire. But he wants to move to san antonio because we are one of the fattest cities in america and we wants to help bring the outright title to San Antone. So his eating of 500 wings is not him being fat...that's him being a team player.
  12. SD is the the most desirable city in the country to live in...i'll take south lake tahoe as a not too shabby substitute though!
  13. Workin the morning shift tomorrow just so i can get off at 2 and watch th game with some fellow buffalonians and drink some beeeeerrr as well.
  14. Larry centers had the best numbers for a FB and i don't hear many claiming him to be a future HoFer.
  15. Totally agree (per my first post) about the OL. I was just drawing attention to the fact that before this season Stovall was probably not going to get drafted and i think he'll be a steal for someone this year.
  16. Even though I still like Maurice Stovall at 6-5 230lbs...if he works a little on his hands he'll be a steal in this year's draft.
  17. It is when prior management teams selected players like Kelly, Reed, Bruce, and Thurmal with first round picks. This is why i post at work...the "wacky morning show" comment had me rolling! The steelers have been one of the best if not the best draft teams in the league since TD left...Roethlisberger, Polomalu, Kendall Simmons, Casey Hampton...not to mention players like Parker and Randal El. Wins and losses is the only way to grade a GM we're well below .500 with TD at the helm, gone through 2 coaching staffs and have zero playoff appearances. Production like that out of people I hire hear at work would probably land me on my ass. Great rookie year and our most consistent WR this season. Crystal clear bust??? I don't think so, even though he has really disappointed the 2 seasons prior to this one.
  18. Right on. Great o-lines make average running backs look great...see: BRONCOS, Denver. Thank you. You could go on a number of team boards and rip a fan fave and get ripped right back by posters. I guess forgot that being a fan favorite = HOF career.
  19. I was thinking more LT stuff since Peters is a FAAAREEEEK! Of course you abandon what works because what works is exactly what the opposition figures you'll do so you change it up you don't play the game to your strengths, you do whatever you think the other team won't expect...ie lining MW up in the backfield...he'd be a reincarnation of the fridge back there! That's exactly what SD would not expect so thats what we do...now i can coach in the NFL.
  20. Alstott is washed up...he was decent in his younger days. No as for the the goal line situation i have the answer....mike williams. Line him up in the backfield and hand him the ball...better yet fake the qb sneak and swing it out to him...he must move pretty quick cuz he gets out of the opposing d-linemen's way pretty f-ing fast. And when all else fails just hand it to Daimon Shelton!
