  1. HAHAHAHA yeah sure. Shaun Alexander couldn't fetch a second but yeah willis is worth it because he's more productive than alexander. We were ranked near the bottom of the league in defense nobody is a stud and everyone's job is on the line. I think you missed the hint of sarcasm in the post you are referring to.
  2. They both suck and both should be free agents.
  3. Or they tend to be Reggie Bush, Chad Johnson, Carson Palmer or Corey Dillon. The NFL draft is an absolute crap shoot.
  4. No way in hell he's ready by the start of the season. A ruptured achilles isn't easy to come back from just ask TKO. LaVar was never really the impact player that he was supposed to be coming out of college and i've heard a lot of that is due to his lack of discipline and being able to fit within a scheme and the cover 2 is the ultimate discipline scheme.
  5. I think that the two can be mutually exclusive, but it stands to reason that Willis would have put up better numbers when JP and the offense became a legitimate passing threat as teams couldn't stack the box. All I was illustrating was that Willis gets all these excuses made for him when in reality he's never produced elite RB numbers.
  6. Reggie seems to have made some real good choices about who he surrounds himself with hasn't he? Your points are well taken and I totally see where you are coming from, in terms of Jarrett being his own man and able to make his own decisions, but as a fan I would be really disappointed if my favorite team picked a guy #12 gave him a lot of money only to see him get into trouble because he's young and rich and he hangs with a bunch of guys who aren't even smart enough to know they can't take a gun into an airport. If he's picked by the Bills I'll support him and hope he proves my concerns to be unwarranted, because he's got a ton of talent, but all it takes is one screw up (or 11 if you play in Cincy) and its over after the team made huge investment. In terms of LenDale, that guy obviously didn't have an attitude conducive to being a productive NFL player. He added a ton of lbs before the draft and really made no impact at all on the Titans this season. Maybe his celeb status at USC went to his head a little bit?
  7. Jesus everything is a damn apology for Willis. At first, it was because JP couldn't throw the ball effectively and thus defenses were putting 8 in the box and thats really hard to run against. Then we make a line change and holy crap the offense starts opening up and putting up points, only Willis still puts up below average numbers, so obviously the line change only helped the passing game. My contention is this: if the lack of passing game and poor o-line play was the initial problem then it stands to reason that improved o-line play and a pretty good passing game should open up the field for the running game to do some real damage. However, in these two equations there is one constant and that is Willis putting up pedestrian numbers. At some point he has to take the blame for his lack of production. I'm not saying he doesn't run hard or care about the Bills, but I just don't think he is a good NFL RB. He isn't a home run threat, he has yet to average 4 ypc, he isn't a receiving threat, what does he bring to the table? Even if we had the worst o-line in football we'd see some flashes of brilliance and all i've seen is a whole lot of mediocrity unless its against the Jets. I think he lacks that one ability that makes some backs great and others just average and that is vision. On a great number of instances i saw willis hesitate instead of hitting a hole and I believe that is because if the hole is not in the exact spot it is supposed to be then Willis simply doesn't see it, and thus cannot improvise by cutting back and making a play. This debate is getting quite old, Willis puts up well below average numbers and somehow its everyone's fault, and people just don't see that maybe he's not as talented, maybe that's due to his injury when he was at the U, but whatever it is he's been all hype with little results.
  8. Here's a great news source for you http://www.theonion.com
  9. You are who you hang out with just ask Allen Iverson why he stopped rolling with his posse. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15441189/ my personal favorite quote: He was acquitted of murder in 1996 following the death of an alleged gang member who was killed by gunfire from the vehicle Snoop Dogg was traveling in. Sounds like people that Ralph and Marv and Dick really can relate to. Remember that one time when all three were rolling in Ralphs Taurus and that one guy was accidentally killed by gunfire coming from inside the car? WOW what a misunderstanding that was huh?
  10. Taylor is a thug and should be in prison. I also didn't know that he was allowed to be within 100 yards of any Bengals players. That being said it was a clean but unnecessary hit and I can't wait for the game this season when J Peters comes off on a screen play and rolls his gun toting ass.
  11. He's buddies with Snoop Dogg, if that doesn't scream character then I don't know what does anymore.
  12. Losman produced a top 12 QB season. Willis produced a sub 4.0 YPC. As I stated before, once the o-line was moved around the entire offense picked up, except for one player. Willis McGahee. His production declined quite a bit. I posted the stats in another thread and I'll do it again you want me to. WM is not a dominant back and the o-line excuse is f'ing tired, especially when the passing game came to life. Everyone before was saying WM wasn't dominating because the Bills had no passing game, I say that it was amazing what JP and the offense accomplished with a sub par half back and little ability to run the football. I guess Willis is worth those 2 games per season where he runs like a top 10 back.
  13. HAHA yeah I think that this season will really show what VY is gonna do as a pro QB. I still think he's far from a good passer, and this off season will allow for DCs to prep for him through game film a little bit more. If he comes out and excels next season as a passer then I will have been 100% wrong about VY in the NFL.
  14. Peyton Manning doesn't throw a tight spiral either but he's ok. As for Peterson I have seen the kid run quite a bit since I live in Big 12 country. I think his problems will come from injuries because he runs very tall and exposes a lot of his body to punishing hit, I think he'll be effective but only for a few years. Anyone who says he fumbles has watched very little of this kid and is talking out of his or her ass.
  15. I can't believe both people watching it are members of TBD.
  16. holy crap i didn't even know it was being played. The pro bowl is the worst of all the all star games bar none.
  17. Jarrett is pretty much the exact opposite of the character guys Marv looks at. He hangs with Snoop Dogg, nuff said. And here we go again. One season, in which he was injured and the retards are ready to chalk his career up as being a bust. The Bills saw this kid as talented enough to merit a first round pick, and before we hit the panic button and draft his replacement after a 12 month period where he played in 2 games. Who knows what this kid has? Marv an Co drafted him in round 1 and he will get a chance to play this season, its too much of an investment to just throw away after one year.
  18. I think a lot of his points are valid. The Bills have a lot of cap room and NC should be a huge priority, but Wilson has a reputation of...ahem...frugality and NC will be gone. Fletcher is a leader on the defense but his age may be the key in why he doesn't come back. They need to address the lines its pretty much that simple. A good OL will make a good RB and QB great. And a good pass rush will make a good secondary great. And great interior line play will make good LBs that much better too. It all begins and ends in the trenches. If they become stout against the run and a little better in the interior OL then this team can really really improve next season.
  19. 5 years 25 million is why they chose Johnson. That was a screw up beyond belief. I still can't believe some of the anti-flutie talk around here. The guy won football games something we haven't done in a long time.
  20. Ralph? Have you been to any of the ring of honor ceremonies? Thurman would have about 4 seconds to speak.
  21. the dying of gonorrhea line is from Ace Ventura. I saw it last night for the first time in years and that line still made me crack up.
  22. Again when Willis says stuff like "I think I am the best in the league" and then goes out and averages less than 4 YPC. Thurman Thomas was the main cog in the offense, he could run and catch the football. He may have had some primadonna moments but his production backed up things he said, and he always ran hard. Willis I see dance way too much and it SEEMS to me that he doesn't run all out on every play unless its against the Jets. I hope the Bills do draft an RB because if Willis thinks his job is on the line we'll get his best again. Its sad when a pro athlete has to be motivated to be their best.
  23. Bad omen for peyton manning. Dan Marino should die of gonorrhea and rot in hell.
  24. Willis isn't buying it? He's too busy rackin up baby-mommas to be concerned with whether or not he's about to be replaced. I'm not sold on Lynch as he played in a conference not known for defense and is coming out in a very weak RB class. I just wasn't impressed watching him on a weekly basis, and I watched a lot of him as a PAC 10 fan. He didn't get run out of town because the teams he was on generally won and his play cancelled out his minor attitude problems. Willis, on the other hand, opens his mouth and, whether it is taken out of context or not, sticks his foot right inside. On top of that he averages less than 4 yards per carry and is nothing more than an average running back in the NFL. If Willis produced anywhere near Thurmanator numbers then fans would be more willing to put up with his window licking behavior.
