  1. I'm pretty sure shanny said Campbell was his starting QB too.
  2. Whoops. Shouldve put conference passing records. And I did watch 90% of his games to the a-hole above me. I went to grad school at UT so I have season tickets and I managed to make it to a few road games. The point of my post is not to judge a book by it's cover. But keep coming back with awesome smartass posts that bring nothing to the topic at hand.
  3. Also, to say he's soft because of the injury in the championship game is complete ignorance. I watched 90% of this kid's games and he is one tough SOB. He took a pounding and always got up and won. He's a gamer and is going to be a terrific QB IMHO.
  4. Quarterback A: 6'0 209 lbs. From the great state of Texas. Two time heisman trophy finalist. Left after four years with big ten conference records for passing yards and passing touchdowns. Won the Maxwell award as the nation's outstanding player his senior season. He was also a finalist for the Davey O'Brien trophy (top QB in the nation) as a senior. Arm strength and injury concerns due to size when entering NFL draft. Quarterback B: 6'1 216 lbs. From the great state of Texas. Two time heisman trophy finalist. Left after four years with big ten records for passing yardage and touchdowns. Won the Maxwell award as a senior. Won the Davey O'Brien trophy as a senior. Arm strength and injury concerns due to size before entering the NFL draft. Quarterback A: Drew Brees Quarterback B: Colt McCoy But ya he's a definite backup his whole career.
  5. Are you people for real? Read the comments, is it not obvious this is satire? This is worse than when Crayonz suckers half the board into a ridiculous thread.
  6. I was at the game. There was only one reason we lost and that was a chip shot missed field goal by Steve Christie. The guy is money his entire life but that one game. Leaf kept us in it by throwing 3 picks (really 4 but one was called back).
  7. I'm pretty sure the percentage is 50/50 on winning in overtime. But I do like the proposed changes
  8. I've heard "experts" and other commentators state numerous times that Suh grades out as more of a 3-4 DE than a DT in either the 3-4 or 4-3 scheme. If he falls, and I don't think he will, he's a no brainer unless the number 1 LT is on the board.
  9. MLB: Cubs NHL: Sabres NCAA: Arizona State and University of Texas NBA: Sacramento Kings I've only started rooting for UT recently though I've followed them for a long time. The rest are the product of a military upbringing. I should be able to sue my parents because of this list.
  10. Yes Lane Kiffin has been a success everywhere he's gone I don't know how the guy keeps getting jobs. He's a loser and a tool.
  11. The adjustments you speak of were not made by Opie Garrett. Garrett is a master at coming up with a game plan during the week but he absolutely craps the bed when a wrench is thrown into his plan. Case in point, this week his o-line was getting destroyed and how many screens and draw plays did he run to offset the pressure? I remember one attempted screen where the backup LT was illegally downfield. How many times did he call mass protect and send a WR on a deep route to stretch the field? 0. I live in the heart of Cowboyland and the fans are upset with Opie and not Wade. And I have to agree. The one thing that can be put on the defense is their inability to turn the ball over, get a ball hawking safety and that's a championship defense.
  12. I remember looking up Jourdain's stats once and he had like 25 carries for 90 yards but I absolutely thought he was awesome. Rick Strom is another one. How long was he our third string QB?
  13. Yonel Jourdain. I used to destroy with him in Madden 95 or 96.
  14. You mean the crack reporters who didn't even know that Cowher and the Bills had been meeting? Dammit. We're screwed.
  15. He absolutely dogged the pick today. I've been an 81 supporter all year, and yes he's kept his mouth shut but a future HOF'er should put forth some type of effort even when faced with the trainwreck that is the Buffalo Bills. You can win with average receivers in this league, you don't need a prima Donna like 81 who won't put out the effort until the end. Hell even if he tackles the DB on the pick it's only a 10 yard penalty and we still have the ball. We should let him leave now and get Hardy and Steve Johnson a chance to at least give an effort. Good riddance.
  16. PS - to say he looked like Trent is ludicrous. Does anyone think the glove wearing Mary would have even come close to finishing that game? (hint: the answer is no f-ing way)
  17. the reason you didn't see any passes over the middle of 15+ yards is because that takes about 40 yards of running by the wideout. The fastest guys can do that in 4.3 seconds in a straight line with no pads and no defender hounding them. Consequently, all of the other factors probably add up to needing about 5 seconds to make those throws and if you watched the same o-line I did 5 seconds of protection was not happening. I've never seen a QB on the turf after a throw more times than Brohm today. The kid was picking himself off the ground on almost every passing play, even 5 yard outs and swing passes. That being said, he looked like an NFL caliber QB today IMHO. He made quick decisions and I think he showed a very strong arm. He may have under thrown the ball to 81 but that loser made no attempt to breakup the pick. Get rid of 81 and add a competent LT (assuming Wood is back next year) and let's see what he can do with even a little bit of time before we draft a 1st round QB. I don't care if Jesus was back there today his numbers would not have been much better. Brohm showed competence after being with the team for 6 weeks and taking first team reps for one. I liked what I saw. 6 or a 7 out of ten from me (not using Peyton as 10 because that is illogical to say the least). Brohm for QB in 2010!!!
  18. NFL.com provides a live high quality stream for all games that are on NFL network
  19. Players rarely get traded in the NFL because of the dead money it inflicts on a team's cap space. Also, I really think Cody is the way to go. One of the reasons our LBs have struggled so much (besides not being overly talented) is that our defensive line gets rolled due to their size and our LBs are fighting off the opponents OL. We need a space eater and a run stuffer to occupy multiple linemen so that our LBs can plug holes and not take on O-linemen. I think Suh is going to be a fantastic 3-4 DE, but I honestly think Cody transforms the line just as much if not more than Suh.
  20. I don't think Suh is the only player we need to make a run at the division, so I, personally, would not be happy trading draft picks and/or Lynch. We need all the picks we can get and trading Lynch would put a huge hit on our cap situation. Suh is pipe dream, and like I said its not like our Bills are one player away.
  21. I think he'd be a perfect 3-4 DE and he has been absolutely dominant tonight. He'll be gone well before we pick though, and I don't think we're implementing the 3-4 over night.
