  1. No. There are many reasons why this statement holds no water. First, it was a different league then and passing was a much more difficult thing to do in the late 80s and early 90s so comparing QBs from that era to now is not really possible. Second, EJ hasn't shown any flashes of being a competent NFL QB. Third it's a straw man argument because if anyone cared I could find you more than 2 non hall of famers who EJ has looked like but just throwing out to HoF names makes it seem like EJ has that kind of talent, but most talent evaluators never considered EJ to be an elite QB prospect.
  2. This is where I am too. Even JP had flashes of being able to play in the NFL. EJ can't make simple throws or decisions. I think Whaley is a helluva talent evaluator but this one draft pick will cost him his job because when you draft a QB high you hitch your wagon to his career and EJ is a train wreck. I wish he wasn't but he is and he was the reason this team lost today.
  3. Yeah he sure nailed that Mankins trade. Meanwhile they're sporting one of the worst lines in football. He hasn't had a good draft in what? A decade? That organization got one thing absolutely right and that was Tom Brady. Without that pick Belicheat would've been fired long ago.
  4. The Fitz honeymoon ended this past week. I full anticipate a win and won't consider my actions if they lose until Sunday afternoon
  5. I'll be there. Getting into town Saturday afternoon.
  6. Need a quick stop and a score. If they give up points I don't know if we'll have enough possessions to comeback.
  7. Brandon Spikes. Excellent signing. That's 2 personal fouls and zero impact plays thus far.
  8. You're not keeping up with the current narrative. Now that we beat the Bears it's because they sucked. No credit should be given to our Bills
  9. Since Luck is to ESPN what Favre was to Madden those are the greatest 79 yards ever
  10. The last two weeks we've beaten the "sexy" pick in the NFL and the CBS guys just laughed at Cowher for saying we were "first place in the AFC east" and one asshat even threw in "not for long" I am loving the start to this season! Let's go Packers!
  11. The negativity act. It's tired. For the first time in a long time we have legit reason to be excited.
  12. Please for the love of Ralph Wilson put one in the goddamned end zone.
  13. Gotta love NFL Sunday Ticket on the PS3 skipping all over the place. Saw the block then it cut back to the Moreno getting hurt play. Piss off NFL.
  14. And I wasn't criticizing your opinion at all. You posted something and I asked a question.
  15. Sal just did his own version of the history and it got me emotional and fired up all at once. I hate the goddamned Miami Dolphins with such a burning passion that as a kid these were the only games I really badly wanted to win. Of course, we were good when I was a kid so I could say that and we'd still win 11+ games so it didn't matter. Anyways, came here to read reactions of Sal's history lesson and found this thread instead.
  16. I feel like I am biting hard on a troll post, but screw it. You sound jealous because people have pride in where they are from and maybe you don't live in such a place, and I am guessing you've spent about 45 seconds in the state. On top of that, your commentary on whatever this impending disaster is simply confounds me. Once again it sounds like someone who is jealous and has no clue about what they're talking about.
  17. Best football week in a long time if this happens tomorrow.
  18. Living in Chicago now has lent itself to watching a lot more Blackhawks games, and Jim Cornelison is the best in the business at singing the anthem. I get chills every time I attend a Hawks game or even see it on TV, and I challenge anyone to experience it and say that it's not how the anthem should be received by a crowd, but then again, if every place did it, it wouldn't be as special. Nobody really knows where it started but it is the coolest thing I have ever experienced at a live sporting event. Here's an article on the theories of it's origin: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/06/11/sports/hockey/how-the-national-anthem-turned-into-a-blackhawks-rallying-cry.html?_r=0
