  1. Gore is like 421 years old and looked done in all the games I watched this year. It's cheaper to just grab a back in the 5th or 6th round, but there is a real chance the organization doesn't feel they need a RB in the draft and I would be cool with that too.
  2. Gurley is my favorite player in this draft mainly because I'm a t-shirt Georgia fan. I would love to see him in a Bills uniform but I think someone will take a shot at him late in the first round, but I will continue to hold out hope he somehow lands in Buffalo.
  3. People who doubt Beane are idiots. Getting in the playoffs in baseball is what it's about because once you're in it's a complete dice roll and he constantly puts his team in position to be competitive and make a run at the postseason. The meatballs that doubt him say dumb things like "trading Cespedes was the reason the offense fell apart" and that makes me want to kick puppies. Keane will get his ring because the playoff pixie dust on the other side of the Bay just ran out and the A's are built to continue to sustain success. The entire premise of Moneyball is finding an inefficiency within the player market that the rest of the league doesn't see and exploiting it. In baseball it is easier to apply advanced analytics because the sample sizes are ridiculous each and every season, and while it's a team sport, it relies more on individuals performing separate tasks within the environment of a baseball season. With football there are far less things to exploit because everyone is dependent upon one another. You could have the greatest QB in the world but put him behind the worst offensive line in the league and no level of sabermetrics will show you he's a good QB because he probably put up EJ type stats or was hurt all year. Same with a WR, Larry Fitzgerald is great but he's been catching passes from sad sacks of **** at QB for his entire career save for the Warner years. I like analytics in football for in-game decisions but in terms of roster construction I feel like it's less applicable.
  4. Running an NFL organization is just like running a business I would guess. You don't overpay for mediocre assets (Marrone) and you hire the best people below you to run things. Sometimes you don't get the guy you made your first choice (Polian) and you move on. More than one person in this world is capable of player personnel direction and you do whatever it takes to find the best one out there and let him do his thing.
  5. No. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. None. Winning teams and personal finance are two completely different animals. Winning a big bet or landing one big client might be luck but when you continually win at life in high stakes finance you are not simply lucky. This is the same exact mentality that has absolutely corrupted our country. You EARN wealth and when you are the one who built the wealth it is not simply bestowed upon you by catching some lucky breaks. In Pegula's case he anticipated the market before anyone else and that takes skill and brain power. You weren't just a few lucky breaks away from being a billionaire Doc. God what an awful way to think.
  6. Making a plan public is always a good decision in a highly competitive landscape. Seems like a legit plan.
  7. Nope. We have a new level of retardation. You don't luck your way into becoming a !@#$ing billionaire. Jesus Christ.
  8. You don't make 5 billion !@#$ing dollars by being !@#$ing incompetent. This is really a new level of mental retardation for the city of Buffalo.
  9. Link? Or is this more idle speculation? I am guessing the latter.
  10. Orton is a dime a dozen QB. The HC is a dime a dozen HC that was supposed to be an offensive guru that couldn't even manage a mediocre offense. He was also an "expert" on o-line play and that unit was an embarrassment the last 2 years. They were turned down by an old man that thought the first two people you listed were the cornerstones of the franchise? Pass. I rarely defend this organization but this is quite possibly the best thing that has happened to this organization in a long time.
  11. No. No they do not. Losing Marrone is a free fall? He's not some innovator or elite head coach. He's a fat version of Dick Jauron. Bills fans are !@#$ing ridiculous.
  12. I don't care that Polian didn't take the job because Marrone left. If he truly thought Marrone was that good then this is for the best because Marrone plays 1986 football and that doesn't win anymore. I can't wait for Marrone to fall flat on his face in New York with his dumb lisp and atrocious decision making.
  13. Then go away. The "Board" didn't report it though, just exchanging information.
  14. No. He's awful. His track record is one good season then a fall off the cliff. You know who hated him as an OC? Every player except the two QBs listed.
  15. Cutler blows. He is not the answer but he isn't reckless downfield because he's not allowed to throw downfield. This is EXACTLY what Cutler has done all season, so you haven't watched him much.
  16. Jesus !@#$ing christ just say no to Cutler. I've lived in Chicago for the majority of his career here and you people sound exactly like Bears fans did before the welcomed him into the franchise. Since then he has continued to be an absolute coach killer because every !@#$ing person thinks he can be fixed. At some point he doesn't have potential he is just a mediocre QB. He does one thing well and that's throw the football far. He's not accurate and he's a goddamned turnover machine. This team would not have 8 or more wins if he was playing under center for the Bills.
  17. If they win in Oakland I will call them alive for the playoffs and that's really all that matters.
  18. http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine/_/results/400554356~1~400554366~2~400554434~1~400554361~2~400554442~2~400554449~1~400554398~2~400554439~1~400554444~1~400554447~1~400554402~2~400554406~2~400554373~1~400554436~2~400554410~2~400554438~2~400554405~2~400554437~1~400554441~2~400554435~1~400554448~1~400554446~1~400554445~1~400554443~1~400554440~1~400554404~2~400554407~1~400554409~1~400554412~1~400554411~1~400554413~1 And if KC beat SD in 17. Yes. Beat me to it. With a win there is no way for the Bills to be eliminated going into week 17.
  19. It would take something like Cleveland beating Baltimore, the Vikings beating Chicago, the Bengals beating the Steelers, the Dolphins beating the Jets and the Bills winning in week 17.
  20. Here is what we need to happen in week 16 for the Bills to control it's own destiny going into week 17: Thursday 12/18: TEN @ JAX - Jax over Tennessee - Jax is currently -3 Saturday 12/20: SD @ SF - SF over SD - SF is currently -3 Sunday 12/21 (All games are early): BAL @ HOU - HOU over BAL - BAL is currently -3.5 CLE @ CAR - CLE over CAR - Game is currently off the board GB @ TB - GB over TB - GB is currently -10.5 KC @ PIT - PIT over KC - PIT is currently -3 NE @ NYJ - NE over NYJ - NE is currently -10 The beauty of this is the teams we need to win are all favorites except the stupid Browns. I would much rather go into that hell hole known as Foxboro with a win an we're in scenario than needing help, but that's just me. Edit: I don't think the Chicago/Detroit game matters at all because the Bills beat both teams
  21. Here comes the back breaking drive followed by a pick possibly for 6. Down 7 going into crunch time.
