Right it is all speculation but just an educated guess - Beane did say he was one of the last 1st round graded players he had - There were other teams that were attempting trade for that spot - Looks like they were trying to get in front of Dallas.....so they must have made an educated guess/heard something that Dallas might take him - Other teams could have been looking to take Elam or another player at that spot (it really doesnt matter which)

Barbarian I dont see them double dipping on corners like they did DE's last year......we are shallow at OL.....we are bringing in OL that can run block....I think we will use the running game more this year.

I am confused by this Beane did the exact OPPOSITE of the Aaron Rogers Green Bay model. Green Bay traded away Rogers number one option Buffalo signed Josh Allen's number one option to a huge extension They also have Davis and Crowder (the jets pretty much only offensive weapon last year) at the WR positions.....this is the Buffalo big 3. I am not even counting McKenzie because he is more of a gadget player.

So just want to point one thing out Beane seems to like to do these "1 year deals" when it comes to vets. Do you really believe we wont have a TE under a long term contract next year.....a offensive guard? Corner is a premium position.....our start corner is coming back from a major injury. We still have some picks left.

Beane obviously had him rated higher and was trying to keep him away from Dallas I am a Booth and Gordon stan....but who am I to question McDermott on DB's......maybe he wanted a 4.38 big physical corner....maybe he was just following his board.

I have questions about Elams tackling but Elam lets keep in mind that we are in a arms race in the AFC.....corner was definately needed and he has the size, speed, height ration you look for......played Jameson Williams and shut him down (its on tape) Both was my guy....maybe the double hernia just scared Beane off?
