  1.

No, but there were several instances where he had time and threw horrible passes. It will be interesting to see what the all-22 shows.

    Doc....there is no disputing that.

That is why I say "Tyrod won it ugly"

He was not good for most of the game.....only when he needed to be.

To me that is a very positive sign.....because I think he will learn from this and improve.

A team loss would have been devistating......but we didnt lose so........

  2. To be perfectly honest

I did not expect Aaron Rogers from Tyrod Taylor when we started the season. What I find interesting is that if we just had a "middling" quarterback that was a game manager before the start of the season they would have taken that.

We have more then that with Tyrod Taylor......we have a playmaker.....BUT he is still in fact only starting his 5th game.

    - He is getting NO help from his running game....that is usually a recepi for disaster for inexperienced starter

I expect him to improve.....and yes it does appear that teams are getting some game film on him but STILL it looks to me like Roman might be outthinking himself with his QB

    - He isnt a pocket passer

    - Dont force him to be

  3. There was no hyperbole, so stop lying.

He made four incredible plays. The three long runs, and the pass to Hogan. That was it. It was our entire offense.

For 52 minutes he sucked the sweat off a dead guy's balls.

You thinks he's going to win a lot of games for us this year playing like he did today? And then you have the gall to insult my football acumen?

Ahem....do you actually read your own bull ****?

You're so desperate for Tyrod to be "The Guy" that you aren't being objective. Now you are telling me what I am thinking......and arent we ALL desperate for a starting QB....is that not what you also want? Or do you just choose to tear down whoever is under center hoping for the next great unknown to be named QB to come along and save us? I am certainly not TELLING you what you are thinking unlike what you just did but........

You're looking at those 4 great plays, and using them to white wash the rest of his, rapidly becoming consistently, terrible performance.

HOW IN THE F do you know what I am looking at....maybe I am looking a bit deeper and seeing a QB missing what are probably 3 of his most talented players on offense find a way to win a game ugly.....in his FIFTH NFL START. THe bottom line is WINNING

If not for a great route adjustment by Hogan on the long pass setting up the TD, we'd have lost this game 13-7.

And if not for a incredible 3rd and forever we arent in a position either.......instead of looking at the negative plays take a look at the positive ones...after all WE DID WIN

Was it that one play that makes us "not know our ass from a football"? Or was there something else outside of his 4 (count them: 4) nice plays that does it?

    Because we WON

I'll wait. You go ahead and get on with your bad self anointing him the next Jim Kelly. COMPLETE Hyperbowl....I am trying to figure out if TT is as good as Doug Flutie

Hyperbole much? When people cant make a real arguement they seem to go straight to hyperbole

  5. Not disagreeing with most of this but Tyrod still has to step up in the pocket, trust his pre snap read, and fire the ball when under pressure. Just because a guy comes free doesnt absolve the QB. He tends to panic, bring the ball down, look for a backdoor, then look back down field to throw. It takes way too much time. sometimes it works for him, but most of the time it doesnt.

Also, without looking at the all 22 its. Ery tough to know if your statement about WRs being open is correct. What I can say is he missed plenty of open guys with bad throws and looked hesitent to throw it at other times. Its, obviously, not all his fault (just like its not all his credit for good plays...) but he needs to do a better job overall and Im sure hed say the same thing. Good players dont need fans to make excuses for them.

No doubt, but it doesnt absolve most of his inconsistencies. He needs help AND he needs to play better. These things are not mutually exclusive.

The thing that bothers me is......why cant Roman just see TT for what he really is.......a playmaker who plays his best when he is NOT throwing from the pocket on every play.

For 2 straight games it feels like Roman is trying to pound the pocket passer home instead of putting TT (who in essence is a seasoned ROOKIE) in positiions that make him comfortable......roll him out......let him keep the ball on the read option......moving pockets.......THEN encorporate some pocket passes

I know he is being groomed.....but working on things that are not TT's strength....that is what PRACTICE is for.....

THat is my opinion on it

  6. No, he didn't. He was the anchor around this offense that, once again, did not cross the 50 yard line until late in the game, and continued their habit of 3 and outs. He, once again, couldn't get past his first read; and was made ineffective by being forced to his left. He, once again, ran himself into multiple sacks. He put us in position to lose this game.

He was bailed out by an absolutely superlative defensive performance which held the Titans to 13 points at home.

He made 4 absolutely incredible individual plays, which I will not take away from him; but that was the extent of it.

You cannot trade 52 minutes of horrible for 4 great plays late in the game and expect to win in the NFL.

If he keeps this up, we're in for a very long year.

Tyrod is what he is: an exciting QB that keeps you on the edge of your seat. He makes enough big plays that he keeps you wondering, but his game is very limited, and it's beginning to show. He has no pocket presence. He's a run first, one read and go guy. He's inaccurate.

Keep beating that drum......everyone is laughing at you

  7. I of course cannot say with certainty that Fitz would have lost the game......

I just feel like this was one of those games Fitz would have turned the ball over at the wrong times.......

I mean...lets keep in mind who the DC is for the Titans....who has biult a solid reputation on befuddling rookie qbs

    Tyrod overcame that

BUT....on the same token....if the defense plays poorly today we lose....buy a bunch

  8. It was the defense that won the game today and bailed TT out.

Fitz was asked to win games 35-30 was he not? No QB could sustain being asked to do that. TT wouldn't be asked to do that because he can't.

IF TT doesnt turn playmaker at the end of the game we LOSE this game.......the D kept us in it......the O won it at the end.

Lets keep in mind here that TT is missing a lot of weapons on offense so lets not judge him too harshly (especially in a game where he made plays to win the game)

    NO interceptions

No Shady, No Karlos, Cierre Wood injured, Herron puts the ball on the ground and now Boobie is running the ball....so basically no running game.

    No Sammy Watkins

Gets rolled up on and is playing hurt in the part of the game where he actually made the plays that got them the win

You can say that TT has holes in his game.....which is accurate but you also have to realize that this is his FIRST STARTING YEAR.....so basically what you have is a seasoned rookie.

What nobody cannot say is that TT isnt a gamer......dont think that offensive teamates dont respect the hell out of QB that goes out and makes plays......

Personally....I think TT is our guy....upside is high.....and he has heart

  9. No, i'd say Fitzpatrick. He was loathed greatly here but over 3000 yards passing and 24 TDs per year has been missed.

He is by far the meaning of average to below average for a QB but IMO he has been the best since JK.

If Fitz had this defense of today or last year, oh what could have been. Playoffs at the least.

    No...just No

Fitz wiltz under the pressure like a flower

TT's game PICKS UP in the 4th quarter

  10. Tyrod Taylor has no business starting in this league.

Our defense won us this game, as Tyrod again put us in position to fail.

He was very lucky he was able to make 4 big plays, but those 4 big plays should not be counted on, and even if they could, they amounted to only 14 points, which isn't enough to win most games in the NFL.

Tyrod is a run first, one read, gimmick quarterback with accuracy issues. He has been exposed.

The way to beat him is to force him to move to his left, and away for his first read.

Tell me how many games we win with him playing like this?

    I'm setting the over/under at 6.

Those grapes sure are sour huh?

  11. They are taking turns making mistakes on the offensive line......and our run blocking is non existant

    A few thoughts

    - I am starting to realize that neither Henderson NOR Kujo are really the answer at RT.

    - Miller is playing like a rookie.....so he gets a bit of a pass....but I am really hoping that his play improves over the course of the season

    - Wood needs to be replaced

    - Cog and Glenn are our best players....BUT.....Glenn probably would be a better fit at RT....and....he might not even be in the long term plans

This OL needs a major retooling in the offseason.....this group as it is composed is NOT the answer.

  12.

It's only a stretch if you're looking at stats rather than the games themselves. Last year's Eagles' offense had a lot of issues they did not have Chip's first year. Mainly up front (injuries early) and Kelly's maddening unwillingness to use anyone but Sproles in the red zone.

    I will also add

    Trades happen for a reason

It is quite plausible that the eagles felt it was time to trade Shady.....but there have been plenty of situations where players have been traded and went on to be very productive for another team.

The bottom line is.....regardlss of his ypg (which is not gonna be goddy if your getting a lot of touches) regardless of how much the bills paid

THe only thing that really matters is how McCoy plays for the bills......lets keep in mind that this is all relative.....

    We went from

Spiller (who hasnt been able to stay healthy for the Saints)

Jackson (who got hurt for the hawks)

AND those exact two players also got hurt last season.....

So that is the running back situation we are coming from in the previous year.

It is quite possible that Whaley saw an opportunity to get a still highly productive back.....without injury issues (prior) and he knew that he was going to replace 2 backs.....

Given that.....what would YOU have done for running backs this year?

You see.....a whole lot of guesses and assumptions goin on.....Whaley pulled the trigger....and we dont know how it its going to work out
