The problem with Rex is he's a defensive coordinator, not a head man. A head man has a full grasp of all phases of the game and Rex hands everything over to the offensive coordinator and lets him run the show....completely. I really don't think Rex offers much input on the offense, so if there are any complaints here I think it ultimately falls on him.
Funny....because this is exactly what people said Rex needed to learn to do in order to be a successfull HC
-
He was holding his shoulder before he threw the perfect deep ball down the sideline to Hogan, too.
Kelly....that is because Tyrod is a gamer....one of the things I love about him.
but
He should not have been on the field.
-
Actually Rex was about to put EJ in and made that decision. Taylor told Rex he was fine and could play and so Rex let him back.
But he obviously was not ok......was holding his shoulder
-
I will tell you what I find disturbing and it has nothing to do with Tyrod
This team is petrified of every other QB on its roster.....that is how bad our QB talent overall is.....
Taylor was OBVIOUSLY injured.....you dont let him go back out there like that.
Draft a QB in the 1st round please.....
-
Im already past it....waiting to see how bad this team is hurt after last nights game
-
Kelly made the comment to Fitz at one point that he cant throw with an arch at the Ralph in November and December, the ball needs to be thrown more as a rope. Other outdoor northeast stadiums probably similar.
I had noticed that about Taylor earlier that he throws a pretty arch on his deep balls and thinking "he's going to have to throw lower and straighter to succeed at the Ralph in December." Except because of his lack of height, I'm not sure he can do that.
I still think the Bills get out thought by Belichek on game plans
It worked for Flutie....
-
It is not just him
on a fricken 3rd and INCHES (which is totally FB run territory) ROman decides to run a lateral to the LOS play that gets stuffed.....
Its not JUST on the player....players need to be put into positions to be successful
-
Back to drafting a QB in round 1?
CBF
I am not sure if we ever left it.
Regardless of what happens with Tyrod Taylor we dont have anyone of any quality behind him........Rex had NO confidence in putting EJ Manuel on the field even with Tyrod running around holding his shoulder for 2 series......
Another QB is needed
-
You're kidding right?
No...he is serious....which is why you have to ignore him
-
Lmao. No ****.
Watching the same performances over and over makes it easy to see the losses coming.
THen find another team
-
KC is not very good...they are very very beatable...we dominated them the past 2 times and should have won both if not for retarded turnovers at their 1 yard line
Also playing them on the road does not bother me.....we have been good on the road.
Not having Tyrod scares the hell out of me though
-
Nervous?
I've already accepted a loss and season over. Rex and the players went all out for that game. Several got hurt in the process.
This is not suprising.....the fact that you have accepted losing
-
Nope, Lil man can't keep up with the weekly grind.
Most of his completions are short yardage.
See you poked your head out again
When we win again u will disappear
I think he was hurt on our of bounds play the play before he fell on shoulder. He was whipped to the ground on that 5 yard run and took a while to get up.
Torn labrum is my diagnosis. Probably was getting more swollen as game went on and that made it harder to throw.
Good call on that....went to the ground hard on that out of bounds play. Labrum sounds right

I'm growing tired of "rooting for them to find success." Eventually I'd like to see some actual success.
We're like the Elmer Fudd of football. I've spent my entire fanhood watching Buggs Brady get the better of us.
You want success that no other team is having this year either?
Last year 9 and 7
How about we try to get into the playoffs this year
-
What happened to Clay?
Neck
-
The injuries
- I really did not EXPECT a win in Foxboro against an undefeated tonight.....we were competative......there were some plays that went against us.....the non catch by Shady for the TD was huge
No.....the thing that concerns me now is the injuries.....we have a HUGE game coming up in less then a week.
- Tyrod is hurt....how bad is he hurt?
- That injury to Miller looks like a season ender
- Mario hurt
- Clay hurt
- DT Williams no status
- Marcel dinged up
nervous about the next game
-
no way he hits Hogan in stride deep with a broken collarbone
Im thinking it is a shoulder strain (at least I am hoping)
-
Whatever is going to happen is going to happen
If you hesitate your tools will fail to strike at the proper time and you will fail
play the game

Look John, I don't want to hash this over and over.
You can not single out 2 or 3 stats and say he's great. I listed a few where the #'s can be improved upon.
- Offensive weapons have been injured and have not had a chance to play together
- Even in losses has put up a lot of points
Former - See Tom Brady, see Rodgers,
Latter - see Giants game and Tenny game 10 and 14 pts. Are you implying that 10 & 14 are a lot of points?
Why are you putting Brady and Rodgers in the same post when discussing Tyrod Taylor?
-
Not against it if it improves the team....NEED a coverage linebacker
-
Why? Because I am telling people that they may be overrating Tyrod after 7 whole games?
Good sir, look in the mirror.
I give up..
Good bye
WHO is overrating Tyrod Taylor.......
Nothing about Tyrod Taylor that has been spoken here is untrue
- Top 5 in like 5 different important QB stats
- 5-2 as a starter (team is winless without him under center)
- Offensive weapons have been injured and have not had a chance to play together
- Even in losses has put up a lot of points
- 1st year starter......continues to progress.....should not be given a new contract yet.......need to see more
What is desputable about that?
-
Just make sure that locker room has been swept for bugs
-
5-2 as a starter on a team where the defense has not been as dominant as it was supposed to be.......with injured offensive weapons
-
Again, its a silly, false comparison becuase McCoy costs so much more guaranteed. It's Alonso + $20+ million for McCoy. People can now debate whichever they side got the better deal, but at least start with the correct terms.
If the player is earning his keep.....then why the bitching about the Money
In that Jets game McCoy basically put the team on his back

You would love it if McCoy actually holds onto it
