I saw OJ at the Ralph a few year back. He came down into my section and people were lining up to meet him. There was a lot of hi-fives and pictures being taken. It's amazing how many people still idolize him. Only in Buffalo...

Further proof that the BCS needs to be blown up. I don't care about SOS or rankings. If Rutgers and Boise State go undefeated, they both deserve a shot to play for the national championship on Jan 8th. Ofcourse neither team will get in and we'll be stuck with Ohio State vs Michigan II.

Photo and article. Mother Faces Charges After Throwing Toddler Into Traffic A Roselawn mother has been charged with doing the unthinkable, throwing her child into the street and oncoming traffic. It happened early this morning on Seymour Avenue. Police allege the suspect was involved in a verbal altercation with the young boy's father and that then the child allegedly became part of his mother's rage. Police say she picked her child up and threw him out onto a busy road. "I woke up to them arguing in the street," Jermaine Gamble, a witness, told 9News. "He was grabbing his son and she was trying to get her son back." Just moments before, 21-year-old Rebe Cobbins' son Danontre, thought to be as young as two-years-old, had been thrown onto busy Seymour Avenue. When 9News asked if the mother seemed to realize what she had done, Gamble responded, "She was crying, saying she was sorry and all that. But the baby's Daddy wasn't having it, he was going to take his son back." The incident happened at 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning outside Cobbins' apartment complex in the 1600 block of Seymour. No came to her door Saturday night. It's not known how close any cars came to hitting the boy. Gamble told 9News that the boy's father quickly retrieved the child out of the street, and the boy likely didn't even realize what had happened to him. "The kid is alright," said Gamble. "He wasn't banged up or any thing." The boy's mother is facing one count of domestic violence and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday. She was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.

My Webpage Sex on plane doesn't fly in Raleigh ANDREA WEIGL RALEIGH - A California couple whose in-flight friskiness on the way to Raleigh was a bit much for other passengers are facing federal charges for harassing the flight attendant who asked them to stop. Carl Warren Persing and Dawn Elizabeth Sewell are scheduled to go to trial Dec. 11 at the federal courthouse in Wilmington for their behavior during a Sept. 15 flight. The indictment states that "the defendants repeatedly engaged in overt sexual activity in the cabin of the plane to such an extent that the flight attendant had to direct them to stop." But Persing and Sewell wouldn't halt their public displays of affection, and Persing threatened the flight attendant who made the request and refused to serve them alcohol, according to the court records. Efforts to reach Persing, of Lakewood, Calif., and Sewell, of Huntington Beach, Calif., were unsuccessful. Their defense lawyers did not return messages Monday. It is unclear how often disruptive passengers are charged with crimes. The Federal Aviation Administration tracks only incidents involving unruly passengers that are reported by the flight crew and are not referred to law enforcement. There were 79 incidents this year as of Sept. 20 -- in comparison to last year's total of 203. FBI special agent Michael Sutton wrote in an affidavit that Persing and Sewell were on a Southwest Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Raleigh with a stop in Phoenix. On the first trip, Persing and Sewell sat in separate rows, and Persing was served one alcoholic drink. From Phoenix to Raleigh, the pair sat next to each other. While in the plane on the ground in Phoenix, the couple was kissing, embracing and "acting in a manner that made other passengers uncomfortable," Sutton wrote in his affidavit. "Persing was observed nuzzling or kissing Sewell on the neck, and around the collarbone in the vicinity of her breast," Sutton wrote. Persing was also observed with his face pressed against Sewell's lower body. At first, the couple complied with a request from a flight attendant to stop their behavior. But they soon resumed during the flight. When asked again, according to Sutton's affidavit, Persing told the flight attendant: "I'm going to give you one warning to get out of my face." Things deteriorated from there, according to Sutton's affidavit: The flight attendant refused to serve them alcohol. Persing called the flight attendant "a punk." Persing kept asking for alcohol. Sewell told the flight attendants that she worked for a lawyer and it was illegal not to serve alcohol to them. The flight attendant told them to stop asking for alcohol. Persing said, "You and I are gonna have some serious confrontation when we get off this plane." When the couple got off the plane in Raleigh, law enforcement officials were waiting.

Q: "Why do the all the world Governments say the Earth is round?" A: It's a conspiracy. Q: "What about NASA? Don't they have photos to prove that the Earth is round?" A: NASA are part of the conspiracy too. The photos are faked. Q: "Why has no-one taken a photo of the Earth that proves it is flat?" A: The government prevents people from getting close enough to the Ice Wall to take a picture."

My Webpage Britney For Free... This week, as news of Britney Spears filing for divorce jostled with national affairs coverage, the troubled star's minders have been busily working behind the scenes to get her story out there, her way. Not only is Spears newly K-Fed-free, she is now offering photos of her second son, Jayden James, born in September — and gratis for the right magazine. Sources say Spears has sidestepped her usual go-to venue, People, which ran the first photos of the then-happy family in December. Instead, she's gunning for the prestige of a monthly or bimonthly, hoping to rehabilitate her flagging image in the TomKat/Vanity Fair mold. As one of a handful of editors who had been called by Spears' representation on the story pointed out, monthly women's magazines don't write checks for photos and interviews, as People reportedly has for her in the past. But a little-known clause in the prenuptial agreement the couple signed guarantees Kevin Federline proceeds from all photos, which perhaps is another reason Spears is going for image rather than cash. Another complicating factor is that Spears has dropped her longtime rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, and is now back with her old manager, Larry Rudolph. A spokeswoman for People — frankly, scooped by TMZ.com on the news of Spears' divorce — said, "We would be more than happy to have these pictures in People." A spokeswoman for Spears did not return a request for comment. — Irin Carmon

Photo and Article Charges recommended against teacher BRIGHTON - The police department has recommended felony charges be filed against a female high school teacher accused of having an inappropriate sexual encounter with a teenage student. Charges against 29-year-old Carrie McCandless were forwarded to the Larimer County District Attorney on Thursday. McCandless has been teaching at Brighton Charter High School for more than six years. However, 9NEWS confirmed Wednesday night the charter's school board has voted to terminate her contract. McCandless, a Social Studies teacher and cheerleading coach, has been under investigation since late last month. She is married to the school's principal, Chris McCandless. Brighton Police say she is accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student. 9NEWS has confirmed the alleged incident took place the last weekend in October during a school camping trip in Larimer County. An employee at the YMCA Estes Park Center says a group from Brighton Charter High was staying there that weekend. This is the second time in less than a year an adult at Brighton Charter High has been investigated for having an inappropriate relationship with a student. David Mundy, Jr., 31, used to be a substitute teacher at the school. He pleaded guilty earlier this year to sex assault on a child and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Police tell 9NEWS the incident involved three girls between the ages of 14 and 16, one of whom Mundy met at the school. Records show he and the girls admitted to "kissing" and other sexual acts at Mundy's apartment last New Year's Eve. He faces up to 12 years in prison when he is sentenced in January. Mundy was a Brighton firefighter at the time of the incident. He resigned in October because of the case. Mundy also has ties to school management. He is the son of David Mundy, Sr., the chairman of the charter school board of directors. Mundy, Sr. told 9NEWS because his son was not an employee of the school, the board was not legally required to inform parents about his arrest. Mundy, Sr. also issued a statement saying: "We want parents to know students are safe and our primary obligation is to educate these kids." 9NEWS and 9NEWS.com will continue to follow any developments in the McCandless case. Students and staff are expected to be notified of that investigation on Thursday.

My Photo and Article Sex case teacher: I felt sick Friday, November 10, 2006 A married teacher today denied having an affair with a 15-year-old pupil, claiming he forced her into performing a sex act which he filmed on his mobile phone. Rebecca Poole told a jury that she was "devastated" by the alleged attack, but had not contacted the police because she did not want others to find out about it. The 26-year-old mother-of-one - who is on trial accused of abusing a position of trust and three counts of sexual activity with a child - also denied having sex with the youngster in her husband's Porsche. Poole, of May Lane, Hollywood, north Worcestershire, claims that she was threatened with a screwdriver shortly before being attacked in her drama block in October last year. She told Birmingham Crown Court that she was attacked after lending the youngster £100 so he could pay off a drug-dealer he had stolen a bag a cannabis from. Describing the incident which was captured on camera, the teacher said the boy had entered the drama block and she thought he was going to demand more money. "I said 'enough is enough' - I am going to tell the headmaster about this. "He went to walk out of the door and I just thought that was it - I bent to pick up some rubbish off the floor and the next thing he is straight in front of me while I'm crouching." Her voice breaking, the tearful witness added: "He pushed me down with his hands, pulled my hair back and took out a screwdriver and put it at the back of my neck." The boy, who is now 17, then said he wanted oral sex. "I struggled to get up but I just couldn't get up," Poole continued. Asked by defence barrister David Mason how she felt during the alleged assault, Poole replied: "Frightened, really really frightened. "I remember looking at his face and realising that he was so confident in what he was doing that I had no way out. I just couldn't get out." Estimating that the incident lasted about a minute, Poole said she was unaware that the teenager had made the videoclip, which was shown to the jury on Tuesday. She told Mr Mason that after the incident she had been warned by the boy not to contact "The Feds", which she understood to be a reference to the police. Mr Mason asked: "How did you feel about what had happened?" Poole answered: "Just devastated - just completely and utterly devastated." Mr Mason: "Why didn't you tell somebody?" Poole: "I was very, very shocked that it had happened." Referring to five previous incidents in which she had been groped by pupils and had informed her headteacher, Poole told the jury: "All the other incidents had been minor in comparison to this. "I remember thinking 'I can't tell my husband' and thinking my career was over. "It would be all over the papers - everyone would know and I was just so embarrassed - I just didn't want anybody to know. "I went home and locked myself in the bathroom and had a bath. I just wanted to forget about it." Poole, the mother of a ten-week-old daughter, also alleged that the boy threatened to tell her headmaster that she had raped him or that she was a drug-dealer. Asked how she felt when shown the videoclip, Poole said: "It's a videoclip of me being sexually assaulted and I felt sick that he would want to video that and brag about it." Earlier, Poole, who was born and educated in Worcester, told the jury how she met her husband when she was 16 and experienced the best day of her life when she married him in July 2005. The 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told the court on Monday that he had had a consensual sexual relationship with Poole, having intercourse with her outside school on up to eight occasions. The boy admitted that he had filmed himself "smiling cockily" while using his mobile phone to record the videoclip and also alleged that Poole had bought him a £250 games console, given him money and telephoned him late at a night to talk about sex.

My Webpage LONDON — Organized religion fuels anti-gay discrimination and other forms of bias, pop star Elton John said in an interview published Saturday. "I think religion has always tried to turn hatred toward gay people," John said in the Observer newspaper's Music Monthly Magazine. "Religion promotes the hatred and spite against gays." "But there are so many people I know who are gay and love their religion," he said. "From my point of view, I would ban religion completely. Organized religion doesn't seem to work. It turns people into really hateful lemmings and it's not really compassionate." John also criticized religious leaders for failing to do anything about conflicts around the world. "Why aren't they having a conclave? Why aren't they coming together?" John said those in his own field have been similarly lax. "It's like the peace movement in the '60s. Musicians got through to people by getting out there and doing peace concerts, but we don't seem to do them any more," he said. "If John Lennon were alive today, he'd be leading it with a vengeance." The morse code for this week's show was "Robs not FBI". The first three octets of the IP address that Hawkins types are "29.203.39". The 29 network is assigned to the United States Department of Defense. In the fourth episode, Hawkins learns from a co-conspirator that there is a traitor among their group -- people who seem to have known about the nuclear attacks in advance, and prepared for them. He then warns other members of his group though a secure computer in his basement that "WE HAVE A TRAITOR. THE RALLY POINT IS NO LONGER SECURE." Later in the episode "9:02", Hawkins is told by a co-conspirator via the secure connection that the conspirator has been "compromised." It is a possibility that Jericho may be the "Rally Point" -- a meeting place for Hawkins' mysterious group.

My Webpage Division III quarterback ties NCAA record for career touchdown passes Posted: Saturday Nov 11, 2006 6:23 PM EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. (AP) -Jimmy Terwilliger tied the NCAA record for career touchdown passes, leading East Stroudsburg to a 56-16 win over Kutztown on Saturday. Terwilliger, the Harlon Hill Trophy winner as the top Division II player last year as a junior, threw eight touchdown passes to bring his career total to 148, tying the record for all divisions held by Justin Peery of Division III Westminster, Mo. A four-year starter at East Stroudsburg (7-4), Terwilliger threw for 327 yards and rushed for 45 to finish his career with 16,064 yards of total offense, good for third in NCAA history behind Timmy Chang of Hawaii and Steve McNair of Alcorn State. Evan Prall set Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference records with 50 touchdown catches and 4,093 yards receiving after catching seven passes for 101 yards and five touchdowns. Prall and Terwilliger hooked up for touchdowns of 25, 4, 29, 5 and 6 yards. Joe Partridge caught the record-tying pass, a 19-yarder with 9:32 left in the game. Matt Brunetti added 106 yards on 18 carries for the Warriors, who picked up 525 yards of total offense. Kyle Spotts and Shane Martin each threw touchdown passes to Elfren Quiles to lead Kutztown (4-6). Martin added 67 yards to lead the Golden Bears on the ground.
