    Just a question... if this stuff is so valuable, why risk brining it back to earth. We dump a ton of money into an international space station/hotel. Can't they do the research up there? Or at least hold on to the capsule until we can send a shuttle up to retrieve the cargo?

    The defense played well for the Irish. I do agree with you about the offense. Last year was supposed to be a "growing" year for the O-line and Quinn. How many more of these games before the ND alumni call for Ty's head.

    That website was a good reminder why I left active duty. I forgot about writing your unit's name on the latrine wall. How the civilian contracts got paid a lot more then you. And then the LT had to buy battery for his night vision goggles. I was like... yup, that's the military how I left it.

    I wouldn't put much weight into what the daily reporter says. Very rarely do they get their facts straight before printing national enquirer type of stories.

    The official length is 26 mi., 385 yds. However they can very in length. The one I did was 30 on the dot. I remember wanting to throw up the entire time. Only problem was there was people all over the place cheering me on. But I learned my lesson... no more booze before a long run. lol

    What a wimp... only a 26.2 mile marathon. When you go out drinking the night before and run a 30 mile marathon the next morning. Then you can come talk to me.

    If the Yankees got RJ, the Red Sock fans would have gone nuts. Even though the Red Socks have the 2nd highest payroll in MLB, they would accuse the Yankees of trying to buy another championship.

    My cousin went to Syracuse on an athletic scholarship in the early 90's. He told me first hand how pampered the athletes were up there. Vehicles so that players wouldn't hurt themselves walking to practice and a Jacuzzi in their room. I guess now days you have to take your recruits to strip clubs to get them to commit.

    The Orange have a true freshman at QB. If they can't establish that running game, it's going to be a long season.

    USC couldn't deal with the option and the coaching staff was ineffective at making adjustments. If they played a team with an explosive offense, the game would have been over by half time. Both LSU and USC did one thing well, they showed poise and didn't panic in the 4th quarter. And that's how a defending national champion should play.

    And that's the reason why you'll never see a Kellen Winslow, Jeremy Shockey or a Chris Rix play for Notre Dame. The question that needs to be asked is why doesn't the NCAA crack down. Oh wait... you can be declared academically ineligible. Your suspension just won't take effect until after the bowl games. Go figure....

    It's sad... i spent years down in Raleigh NC and the city and NC State campus are first rate.

    And no way USC is deserving of their #1 ranking. If LSU and USC don't get their game together, they will get knocked off.

    The same story as last year.... the D played great and the offense couldn't score to save their life. On more then one occasion I saw ND receivers run 7 yard routes when they needed 8 yards for a 1st.

    What a game... I though OSU was going to pull off an upset of the defending champs. Looks like they're heading to OT!
