  1. To me, the strongest argument against streaming is that the NFL has an antitrust exemption and any fiddling with the playoff schedule will make, say, the Missouri delegation in Congress take a close look at it. The NFL seems to think they can get away with it. In that list - TNF is streaming, Black Friday is streaming, the international games and Saturday games are now NFLN games. These are games nobody asked for and were sort of forced on us with the move to a 17 game schedule and this whole international series.
  2. I could be wrong, but I just don't see Flacco maintaining that level of play. Their defense is legit though... so maybe we see another one of those 6-3 games if we end up seeing them in the playoffs.
  3. HOME Miami New England* New York Jets Kansas City Chiefs Jacksonville Jaguars Tennessee Titans Arizona Cardinals San Francisco 49ers AWAY Miami New England* New York Jets Baltimore Ravens Houston Texans Indianapolis Colts Los Angeles Rams Seattle Seahawks Detroit Lions
  4. The Fish are Squished Oh Tua, what could have been? Now off to KC.
  5. ... if we had only lost to the Cowboys, we would have been in such better position for tiebreakers.
  6. Trent Green is terrible, I don't understand why he is on CBS' third team. Archuleta is better.
  7. This game has the feel that the officials want the Steelers in.
  8. Titans look motivated to win this one.
  9. There are three ways to avoid getting scammed with the move to mobile ticketing - Ticketmaster's resale platform, buying from one of your friends, or finding an established person on a place like TBD. Stubhub, Vivid, or any of those other platforms are unfortunately no longer sure things like they used to be. They no longer verify that the seller actually has the tickets they claim to be selling. Before mobile ticketing, they would have sellers upload pdf tickets, which they would verify before approving the listing. None of that happens now, and if you have a problem (like I did three consecutive times in the last year) - it's a huge ordeal to get your money back. If it's close to the event, you may not be able to get tickets. Stubhub in particular is one I will no longer do business with. If a seller confirms your tickets, they often have until the day before the event to furnish tickets, even if you buy them months in advance. Most sellers will give you the tickets shortly after confirming the sale. But others don't, and I missed a concert because Stubhub refused to help until the day of the event.
  10. I just want to say for the record, our old friend @ieatcrayonz was a prophet: If we had only lost that Giants game, we'd be in much better position to be winning tiebreakers. 4-1 against the NFC is killing us.
  11. Ummm Chase grabbed an official, why is he still playing?
  12. The Fish are sushi Tua won't know what hit him The Bills squish the Fish!
  13. That changes things. I had assumed the WR was at the LOS.
  14. The ref didn't call it because they thought the lineman was ineligible. If that lineman was indeed eligible, it would have been an illegal formation flag. This article explains it well: https://www.shakinthesouthland.com/2012/5/10/3012755/inside-the-clemson-offense-tackle-eligible-formation#:~:text=Covered and uncovered are as,eligible to receive forward passes.
  15. I loved Steve Tasker as a player, but Steve Tasker the announcer could barely put together a coherent thought. Mind you the Tiffany network has Greg Gumbel announcing games at 77, had Verne Lundquist until he was 81, and had Dick Enberg announcing until he was nearly 80.
  16. This. Even if the ref screwed up and didn't hear him report, the formation was illegal as-is.
  17. This is easily the best place to park around the stadium if you're heading east. I've done it the last few years (most recently after the Giants SNF game) and it is light years better than messing with any of the official stadium lots or dealing with the lots along Southwestern or north of the stadium on Abbott. I've used the same guy's lawn right at the corner of 20A and Kings Ct, I think it's roughly $25. I can get onto 20A within a minute or two and be out of dodge shortly after the end of the game. We typically stay at the Hampton in East Aurora and we're back there in about 15 minutes after we get to the car.
  18. This is my takeaway too. Pretty easy to say "no" to some of those direct questions posed to him, but he didn't. Compare and contrast it to the Araiza situation where he denied everything pretty adamantly and repeatedly. Of course with his money, his lawyer is likely smart enough to tell him to shut up and not say anything of substance. Regardless things aren't looking good for him in front of the jury of public opinion.
  19. Bills take the victory Mafia roots for Dallas Squish the fish Jerruh!
  20. I love how the train horn gets called out by Hasselbeck. I hate that thing but apparently it's quite effective.
  21. If you are a comcast internet customer, check your rewards tier - it is based on how long you have been a customer. Platinum and Diamond get free Peacock in perpetuity (at least, for now - ignore the '2 years' language in the link below, it's out of date). I've been with them for 14 years across two houses but they only gave me the lower gold tier. I filed a support ticket and they upgraded me to Diamond to account for my longer tenure. I was able to sign up for free with this offer. https://www.xfinity.com/rewards https://www.doctorofcredit.com/xfinity-platinum-diamond-free-peacock-premium/
  22. I hate to bring back the holder debate, but I agree with this. I think any risk to the field goal unit by bringing in a new holder this late in the season, regardless of Araiza's supposed improved skills here, is not worth the yardage gains he might provide on punts. Sign him to the PS, let him work with Bass in practice, and put him on the 53 man roster next year. Don't do it this year unless Martin actually was injured yesterday on the roughing call.
  23. I tend to agree. That throwback should belong to the Texans. I'm not sure what Tennessee fan would want to buy Houston memorabilia.
  24. Should be treated like the "Holy Roller" rule when a fumble occurs in the final two minutes of a half. Ball back to the spot of the fumble.
