  1. Agreed on all counts. Winnipeg would kill for a team and they'd sell out every single night. If Bellevue or Renton approves a new arena for the Sonics, there's been talk of an NHL team moving into the Puget Sound region... so I wouldn't count on the NHL adding any southern teams anytime soon.
  2. Looks like Lofton removed himself from consideration: Who in their right mind would take this job?
  3. When was the last time buying property in WNY purely for the investment a good idea? 1850?
  4. As a coach, would you want to let opponents know that your QB has a hand injury midway through the season?
  5. FYI, for those of you concerned, they don't show the puckhead commercial at all once the free previews have passed. I'd have questioned my sanity otherwise.
  6. This is why, as a conservative, I voted for Chuck in 2004. He really cares about his constituents, which is a rare trait amongst politicians.
  7. Nope. That first thread posted earlier today was his early prediction of the draft. This one is his exact prediction.
  8. I know that it's been said here before, but I'll repeat it - your posts are literally very unpleasant to read due to run-on sentences. It hurts my head to read them. You seem to have a lot of valuable knowledge to add, but your sentence structure is terrible. Please, please, please - limit your sentences to no more than two lines. My brain thanks you in advance!
  9. The wayback machine thinks it happened between 2/22-2/24/05: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.twobillsdrive.com So we've had McGahee since then. I'd be up for a change.
  10. Hmm I seem to remember the replacement occured when Travis Henry left.
  11. Except they really couldn't. Most NC games scheduled by large conferences (Big 10, SEC, etc) are against lesser opponents within the same region. In fact, Boise St's strongest non-conference opponent, Oregon St, defeated USC. Besides Oregon, the Pacific NW doesn't currently have too many strong college football teams.
  12. The guy that posts all the CBS/Fox regional broadcast info compiled all the season's TV statistics into a very interesting excel spreadsheet: http://www.the506.com/2006%20Stats.xls Some observations: - Buffalo, Houston, and Tennessee were the only teams not to get at least one nationally televised game. - Alaska (Anchorage and Juneau DMAs) saw as many Bills games as did NYC. - Albany only saw 5 Bills games this year. - Most cities that saw the Bills once got the CHI blowout game.
  13. Except they play Denver at home if the OP is correct. But yes, it's pretty amazing that the Bills will not be leaving the eastern time zone next season.
  14. I remember two years ago... Stojan's "DIE LINDELL DIE" avatar. Nice to see him turn it around.
  15. BOTH networks have the doubleheader the final week of the season: http://www.gribblenation.net/nflmaps/
  16. If we're in line to have a decent shot at the playoffs, this game's getting flexed. The Ravens haven't had a lot of national TV exposure thanks to the AFC west (Broncos, Chargers, Chiefs) and NFC East (Giants, Dallas, Eagles) having a stranglehold on national games. The other possibilites are PIT/CIN and ATL/PHI. If we lose, and the Jags are in contention, it could be JAX/KC.
  17. Yeah, I'd move all the way out from NY to be a CSR... And while you're at it, try responding to Lori's comments.
  18. hahaha, I really don't think you want to do that... I'll give you a hint. Look at my location and realize I work for a large software company in that area.
  19. And why don't you include Akron and Sandusky in the Cleveland numbers? You know, it's really not a smart thing for someone to disrespect one of the most respected and knowledgable posters on an internet message board. That usually gets treated with contempt, and when you don't spell that person's name right, it usually gets you branded as a loser.
  20. I've got the ticket, but that doesn't help me when there's only one game on during Thrusday, Sunday, and Monday nights.

Now take a look at the map for week 14: http://gribblenation.net/nflmaps/14-CBS-L.gif ENOUGH BRONCOS!!!! Let's see some other teams!!! Heck I'll even take more Colts and Pats!
  22. You can't run with the ball upon recovery of an onside kickoff. The ball is dead at the spot.
  23. Wade was wearing a headset! Ralph Wilson take notice!
  24. Andrew Peters is the Sabres' enforcer.
  25. As much as I hate to say it, TD is the reason the seats are going unfilled. He excelled at getting people's hopes up, getting them to buy tickets, and then having the floor fall out underneath the team. Marv and Overdorf aren't giving the same false promises, so people aren't ponying up the money to buy tickets. As bad as TD was for this team, he did a good job at getting people in seats for some pretty terrible teams.
