  1. If Trent is hurt, Brohm will be the second QB. If that is the case, you aren't wasting an active roster spot on a 3rd QB, so I don't understand why they don't throw him to the wolves and see if he can actually do something.
  2. I !@#$ing hate Belichick, Brady, Kraft, that whole damn organization. If the Bills do ANYTHING ELSE, please, please, please beat the living daylights out of this team. Denying those smug idiots the division title would be about the only good thing left that could come out of this season. Repeat after me - BEAT THE PATS*!
  3. Peyton Manning and the Colts will bring in a larger TV audience than Brees and the Saints would. If it does come down to that, and there are no other playoff implications, the Colts will get the primetime slot.
  4. ESPN article: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4731650 Youtube video:
  5. McCoy's stupidity at the end of that game with respect to the clock last night is what will kill him in the draft.

  7. +1. We need this guy so badly it's ridiculous.
  8. They moved this game to Thursday at 8PM because they thought people would just go after work. Doesn't look like that is panning out if these shots on NFL network are live (i.e. 10 minutes before the game).
  9. I didn't think I'd like Fewell, thinking he'd be the typical coordinator-type coach that we've seen here lately - both meathead and Greggo. I would have preferred that the team had chosen Bobby April. The attitude change that this guy has brought to this team has completely changed my mind. He seems to know how to get the best out of his players and how to build chemistry. Honestly, those two things are probably the most important attributes that contribute to the W-L record of a head coach. His in-game managing, and trust of the players is also really good to see. I'm not crazy about his belief in the Cover 2, but if the season's over and you see the team playing hard, even though they've been eliminated from the playoffs, I think you hire this guy and get a competent GM that can build him a team. Meathead and Greggo were complete unknowns as head coaches. Fewell will have enough time in 7 games to prove whether he's the next Cowher or the next Gregg Williams. Shanahan will come with a high price tag and with the baggage that he wasn't really that good at being a general manager. Any of the big-name coaches will come with a high pricetag and the inability to hire a separate GM.
  10. I thought so too. Didn't Buddy Ryan come up with that?
  11. FWIW, I agree re: Kaleta. He seems to provoke much too often. Reminds me of a Sean Avery-type player. Just get out there and play agressively.
  12. Perry should know that by having his headset off, he's not impressing Ralph.
  13. CBS keeps showing Tyke Tolbert as though he's Perry Fewell.
  14. Incorrect. The Steelers have had 16 head coaches in their history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Pitts...rs_head_coaches
  15. You might forget the fact that Wade and Ralphie don't get along very well. Remember Ronnie Jones?
  16. Based on these biographies, he seems like a Trent clone. Good move to bring someone in, but my expectations are low. I can't believe I am excited about Bills football at 10:15PM on a Wednesday night. I wouldn't have called this a possibility a week ago.
  17. The question is whether or not Ralphie is willing to move to the generic brand of prune juice. Sunsweet is pretty damn good.
  18. IF this is true, and I have every reason to believe it is given Schefter's closeness to Shanahan, it's one of the best things that has happened to this franchise since making Super Bowl XXVIII. Shanahan has the credibility and track record to win. Other than Cowher, which is a pipe dream, I don't think there's another coach I'd rather have.
  19. I vehemently disagree with the OP. The last two games this team has played clearly demonstrated horrific deficiencies at the head coaching position - repeated false starts, the inability to finish games, and lack of focus. This isn't something that happened overnight, it's been a repeated pattern of behavior that's unacceptable. Please explain to me the difference between having a lame duck Jauron coach these final seven games, or having Fewell fill in and see if not coddling the players might get more out of them. I see only downsides (pissed off fanbase, overly content players, and the impression that the owner doesn't care) with the former, and only good things (a jump start on the HC/GM search, fans being happy with their team, etc) with the later.
  20. Speak of the devil, why not Buddy Ryan?
  21. Was it Marty's fault that Bruce Smith knocked Joe Montana senseless in the AFC championship game?
