  1. I respect you as a poster, but I disagree with you here. If you call out the defense, you have to call out the fact that... - Taylor made one completion to Benjamin the entire game. - Taylor exclusively targets his TEs and RBs and completely ignores his WRs. This allows defenses to stuff the box and even in those cases, he doesn't target his WRs. - Taylor had plenty of time to throw today, was rarely under duress (unlike the NYJ game), and yet couldn't find the open throws. He feels more comfortable dumping the ball off, or running with the football rather than throwing the ball downfield. 53 yards doesn't cut it, even if you are playing the 70s steel curtain defenses. It is like the offense is playing with nine guys (or eight in the 3 WR packages). I don't think Peterman is the answer either but Taylor certainly isn't the answer.
  2. I think you start Peterman but I don't think the staff will.
  3. All Hail our savior, Peterman!
  4. Tolbert either needs to sit on the sideline, or be cut. This guy is hindering the offense.
  5. Tolbert would normally be a FB-type runner, but with DiMarco on the team, I don't think he really plays much of a role. They'd be better served with a change-of-pace RB like a Mike Gillislee, or if you want to go really far back, Kenneth Davis. Tolbert is not that kind of guy.
  6. I agree although the OL was so bad this game that Taylor had no time to hit his hot read. That being said, Romo's observations on TT were spot on. Towards the end of the game the Jets are playing man-to-man on the WRs and Taylor instead throws it over the middle to a double covered O'Leary. Romo called him out on it and he's 100% right. Romo talked about him not trusting his WRs, which seems legitimate, until you realize that this was happening with Watkins as well, so I don't see this changing with Benjamin coming onto the team. I think TT just doesn't like to throw it to the outside down the field.
  7. OL and DL were the biggest issues in this game. No pass protection on the offensive side, and no pass rush on the defensive side. These now instantly become our biggest priorities in the draft next year. On defense, it looked like they were more interested in ripping the ball out than making tackles. The Jets probably noticed this from last week and adjusted to protect the football. I am not a fan of Bowles but this is a textbook example of how to beat Tyrod Taylor. Rush 5, keep a linebacker watching as a spy, and have the spy rush a few seconds after the snap. I think the team beats NO next week, since McDermott is familiar with the NFC south and they have more time to prepare. But, after that, traveling to the west coast for the Chargers, playing at Arrowhead, and facing Belichick and the band of cheaters are going to be tough tasks for this team. I think we see them at 6-6 after this stretch.
  8. I did as well, under warranty, although it was 6 years ago or so. The product line that I bought from Sony had a known issue with the screen failing. It was the most frustrating repair experience I've ever had. Sony had a SINGLE warranty repair man for all of Washington State - this guy would cross the mountain passes to repair TVs. It took weeks for him to show up, he missed his first appointment (claimed his car was stolen, sheesh), and had to make three trips to fix the tv. All in all, it took eight weeks to repair it. I wrote a nasty letter to Sony, got no response. Our next TV will not be a Sony.
  9. The November game against the Jets is where Bills teams of the past with good records have rolled over, and with it, the season died. This is a game this team should absolutely win. This is the game that will show whether or not they have turned the corner. We haven't seen a 6-2 record or better since 1993. This is truly one of the most important games the Bills have played in years. I am nervous as hell but can't wait until Thursday. I know it's early in the season to say this, but I think we will look at this game at the end of the season, and say that it was the game that made the season, or broke it.
  10. Just a flat out great game today. The defense stepped it up after allowing that touchdown on the opening drive. Taylor had a hell of a game... this is the first game where I don't have any criticism of TT. Only two small points with respect to the coaching: - I didn't like McDermott's challenge of the fourth down play. Those short yardage fourth down plays up the middle are almost always inconclusive and he had plenty of time with the measurement to know they weren't going to overturn that. - I thought they should have gone for two on that touchdown that Taylor got at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
  11. This game is a textbook example of why fans are sick of NFL officiating. The Bills not only beat Oakland, but they also beat Hochuli and crew. Rarely have the Bills beaten the officials during the playoff drought.
  12. Nothing I like better than getting a free shipping email in my inbox on a Sunday!
  13. Not sure how that's relevant, but no, just a white guy.
  14. I work for Microsoft in Office and know the team that owns this feature. Feel free to PM me your info and I can log a bug.
  15. This is why I only buy the jerseys of retired greats. Kelly, Smith, Reed, Thomas, etc.
  16. The reason I posed this question is because I think we are going to learn exactly how this season is going to go in the next 5 days. 6-2 means the team has turned the corner and they have very good odds of making the playoffs. 5-3 means the Bills are likely going to be in the playoff hunt, but they will likely need to beat a "good" team like Kansas City or (New England)* to make it in. 4-4, particularly against two teams that they are capable of beating, says this is a rebuild and playoffs aren't in the cards. If they can't beat the Jets on the road, they really don't have any business being in the playoff hunt, anyway.
  17. In the spirit of the thread that proclaimed the Bills would be in third this past Thursday at 11:30pm... what do you think will happen this week with the two games on the schedule? Hard to believe they could actually have six wins by the first week in November... that's usually the win total in January.
  18. These guys want self motivated players. I am a little divided on this. You know the guy has talent. One of the roles of a boss, manager, or coach is to figure out what makes each individual on their team do their best work, and push those buttons to maximize both output and employee/player satisfaction. I do think this is the right decision in this particular case given Dareus' contract situation, but it worries me that the staff can't figure out how to motivate high talent individuals like Watkins and Dareus to play their best football. It's becoming a pattern.
  19. Kiko's gonna get suspended...
  20. Thanks. I just booked my tickets from Seattle - flying in Saturday night and high tailing it out of there at 8pm on Sunday. Still need to buy a game ticket but I don't anticipate that being a problem with their attendance woes
  21. I disagree with taking the timeout here. Take the 5 yard penalty... This is the kind of stuff that separates coaches like Belichick and the rest.
  22. That's on TT or Dennison. He has to throw to the end zone or throw it away.

  24. The fact that it's on ESPN has everything to do with it. I subscribe to DirecTV's select package. I don't get ESPN, FS1, etc. I'm pleased as punch that I'm not giving $8/mo to ESPN. If the Bills are on MNF next season (or, by some miracle, are on ESPN's wild card game), I'll just subscribe to the next package up for one month, then drop it. Few things would make me happier than to see ESPN die a prolonged, horrible, painful death.
