  1. I wondered the same thing... in the past, these threads usually had defenders of the crazy behavior. Not so much anymore. I will say, however, that the stadium experience in the club seating is a lot safer and far more enjoyable. The price of the tickets weeds out the lowlifes, and the drunks that do make it in are of the happy and fun-loving variety rather than the angry and violent ones. The ticket holders tend older and are life-long fans; I've had great conversations about the Bills with random people in the club lounge area several times. If you sit outside in your seat, rather than in the club, you still feel like you're part of the action.
  2. I would wager to guess that both the woman and the man were drunk, or at least, I would hope they were. This kind of stuff is sadly not a rare thing at Bills home games. I'm not a teetotaler, I'm a fan of craft beer, wine, and liquor, but the repeated incidents at Bills games are clear cases of alcohol abuse by alcoholics. It's just a matter of time before the team gets sued over a serious incident. The team could fix this by: - Denying entry to anyone obviously intoxicated. Strictly enforce this. Use a portable breathalyzer for anyone that denies it. - Ban consumption of alcohol in the parking lots, and have either Erie County or the Town of Orchard Park pass an ordinance to ban outdoor alcohol consumption in the surrounding private parking lots on game days. I really don't want to see this, but I don't know what the alternative is. WNY's drinking culture is a big part of the reason why this is happening. - Further raise the price of alcohol to limit demand.
  3. Make that 2-8 in games officiated by a crew led by John Parry. Penalty situation went down exactly as I suspected.
  4. I know it is not the popular opinion, but with the current jerseys looking so similar to the throwbacks (don't get me wrong, I love the current uniform), I'd love to see them switch the throwback set back to the 1990s uniform.
  5. John Parry is not who I would have hoped for... the Bills are 2-7 in games he has officiated as a referee. His crews tend to call ticky-tack penalties on both teams. This does not favor undisciplined teams like the Bills. Random fact: Jeff Seeman is the son of former NFL referee Jerry Seeman, who officiated Super Bowl XXV.
  6. This one felt like the good old days... Bryan Cox and all.
  7. Umm... that looked like intent to injure. He should be ejected.
  8. They should shelve McCoy and let Gillislee take the carries... he's clearly not at 100% out there.
  9. Unfortunately, that is the going rate. I had a caliper go bad on my '07 Accord. The caliper pin seized up and wore the pad and rotor out. It is a fairly common thing to go wrong for the 7th generation Accord. They did a complete replacement of my rear brakes (pads, rotors, calipers) and it cost $800... and that was at an independent shop, not at the dealer, either. I decided from that day on that I would do my brakes on my own the next time they went bad. There are enough youtube videos out there for auto repair that it's likely there is a DIY guide for your make/model. It depends on the model, but most cars really aren't that hard. If you can change your oil or do other minor repairs, you can likely change your car's pads and rotors.
  10. That team is a walking disaster area... how did we lose to them in week 2?
  11. Shady is probably hurt... so it is a choice between passing or handing off the football to Gillislee, Bush, or Felton. Lynn seems to be preferring to pass. Please hand the football off.
  12. I really don't want to hear the excuses this week for Taylor. He can escape pressure well, and his OL was crap during the first few series, but he now has decent protection, and he still can't make simple throws. Shady going down in the 2nd should be a huge wake up call - our offense will be shut down without him. Taylor is a game manager, he won't force a throw and he can run the football... but he is not an NFL-caliber passing quarterback.
  13. You will see better defenses stuff the run box with 8 players and make TT throw the ball. The question to me is whether or not TT can win these types of games. Seattle will be a good test.
  14. Bingo. Shady, Robey, and Fisher won this game for us, all in spite of Taylor's performance. That boneheaded play where he lined up behind Richie, combined with the horrible accuracy... I mean I can't see how you can grade his performance today higher than a C-. He didn't throw a pick, I guess there's that.
  15. Why did they accept that penalty? That should have been an easy decline. Fisher is somehow worse than Rex.
  16. Fake punt?!? If that were the Bills I'd have gone ballistic.
  17. Terrible clock management there. You should have let 25 seconds bleed off the clock before snapping that third down ball.
  18. +1. They are winning today because of turnovers generated by the D and some great play from McCoy. TT is a game manager type of QB. He will make a few big plays with his legs, but do not count on him being a reliably accurate passer.
  19. I feel like this is the kind of game that, if this team has turned the corner, should win. Otherwise, they're the same old Bills.
  20. Probably have to keep Carpenter through the end of the season... there aren't exactly a bunch of reliable PK'ers available. They should draft one of the better collegiate kickers next year in the 3rd or 4th round.
  21. The NFC East game of the week (PHI @ DAL) is at week 8. Forget it.
  22. Hearing them complain about the refs is probably the most redeeming part of the whole thing. With Brady on the field they get the benefit of every single call. "Just give it to them", one might say... http://deadspin.com/report-bad-call-at-end-of-patriots-bills-game-was-beca-1744420521 http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2011/6/16/2225057/buffalo-bills-walk-off-foxboro-patriots
