Pick one to stay, TT or Dennison.
sullim4 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just wonder how much of this is TT vs Dennison. If Dennison doesn't like TT, or TT can't make big plays, then the OC is somewhat limited in what he can call and what he can do. All I'm saying is that we have a tendency to blame the coordinators for everything, even lack of talent. It's indisputable that we have next to no talent on our offense outside of McCoy. We ran Kevin Gilbride out of town and he went on to win a Super Bowl against New England. I've seen enough of TT to know he needs to go... I am not so sure about Dennison. I'd be fine with Dennison being gone, but I just don't know that he's to blame for the current state of affairs on offense. -

I truly do not understand why Dennison is hated so much. TT was essentially the same guy under Roman and Lynn. I don't agree with the love of Tolbert but is that Dennison or McD's fault? The OC and DC are always the scapegoats with fanbases. I can't remember the last time we weren't trying to run either our OC or DC out of town. -
Assuming they have a legitimate shot at Cousins, they will draft DL help to replace Kyle and Dareus. I'd like to see them go LB with the second pick but I suspect they will spend it on offense, either a WR or a lineman. Otherwise, I think they pick "their guy" and trade up. I can't see them going into next season with a journeyman quarterback and a middle-round rookie QB.

Agreed. Unlike the Ted Cruz clown that comes posting, I appreciate this guy's sentiments.

Gruden to get 10 year/$100M Contract
sullim4 replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I 100% agree that Gruden isn't worth this money, but I don't agree with the assertion that a coach isn't worth $10M a year, or even $20M a year. I'd pay Belichick $20M. He's worth that kind of cash. -
The last time the Bills were in the playoffs...

That would mean that present day ESPN and FOX do not broadcast in HD. They both currently use 720p. -
- "What's our draft position?" - "Will we be on Hard Knocks?" - "Will Dennison be fired?" What a great feeling!

I'm not afraid to admit that I cried... this is what we've been waiting for the last 17 years... -
The rumor going around during the offseason last year was that there wasn't anyone who was both palatable to the NFL and who actually wanted this job. Blandino resigned in April but it was well known at 345 Park that he was headed out. They promoted Dean during the 2016 offseason to a SVP position to encourage him to stay on with a higher rate of salary, but apparently the NFL execs knew it was a matter of time before he jumped ship to take TV money. Riveron was hired in May but supposedly the NFL was looking around much longer than the time between Dean's resignation and Riveron's hire. They "settled" for Al. I would not be surprised to see a mutual parting of ways at the end of the season given the tumult that's transpired. Total speculation, but the leading candidates in my mind for the job would be Bill Vinovich (who has previous experience as a replay official for Hochuli's crew), Bill Carollo (former NFL R and current Big Ten director of officiating), and Walt Anderson (who supervises Big 12 officials in addition to his job as an R in the NFL).

FJ in retirement would be an upgrade over Tolbert. Git 'er done, McBean...

Tolbert is the worst FA acquisition in years
sullim4 replied to mjt328's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm trying to think back on previous TSW whipping boys... and I honestly can't think of a worse player than Tolbert during the 17 year streak of no playoffs. Kelsay at least made a play once and awhile. McLovin caught fumble-itis but at least he made a decent defensive play every once and awhile. Maybe Coy Wire? -
Jimmy Garoppolo is the Real Deal

One can only hope that this move kills any chance of success they have in Foxboro post-Brady. -

He should be cut, but he's a "process" player so he gets a free pass. -
If there is any accountability, he will be fired. But we all know there isn't.

But he voluntarily pulled the ball back - so fwd progress shouldn't apply, right? That only applies to breaking the plane of the end zone. -
Bullcrap. You see the dark rubber bouncing on the turf. What a load of ****.

Exactly. I'm surprised BB didn't do it. They score the TD, the game is essentially over... which is sad but that's the reality. -
Browns could pass on Rosen given his desire to go to NYG

Can you blame the guy? The Browns are two orders of magnitude worse than our own team, and that says a lot! -
