  1. I feel so "meh" after this game. BBFS has set back in. The defense looked better, but KC's offense looked like Dennison was running it. Taylor was his average self. Oddly, had they defeated the Chargers and lost to Kansas City, I don't think I'd feel as down about the team as I do now.
  2. Peterman throwing 5 picks doesn't improve Taylor's performance as a quarterback. It's like having the ugly kid stand next to you so you look better. This is a position of need for next year.
  3. This is pretty much why Taylor was benched. Not saying the rest of the offense isn't at fault but we're almost done with the third quarter and we have a bunch of field goals and a touchdown. No major mistakes but nothing outstanding, either. This is exactly what to expect with him. He will score anywhere between 10 and 25 points per game and can manage a lead. He can't lead a comeback and he can't match a high scoring team.
  4. There's definitely a losing culture surrounding both teams. When the media keeps asking you if your team is somehow going to screw it up, just like every year, I'm sure it doesn't help their mental state. That said, the organization is ultimately accountable. I think the Pegulas are trying their best to win - unlike Ralph the issue isn't money or lack of attention. I think they've just made two very poor choices in Rex and McDermott.
  5. The only way I could understand how the Chargers would feel like they were disrespected out of this would be the following situation: McD: "Hey guys, the Chargers really suck. Taylor's our best quarterback, but instead of going with him, let's start a rookie scrub and beat them just to stick it to them. I mean, this is a meaningless game, right? We need to follow the process! Never mind that the Bills haven't won in San Diego since 1981. I won the job over Anthony Lynn so I must be better!" Beane: "Yeah. The NFL isn't high on Dean Spanos right now, either. If we can embarrass the franchise, Goodell will approve. Let's start Peterman." Athletes aren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed in the first place. Listening to their postgame press conferences looking for insights isn't generally a useful practice. Just look at what McD has done to the postgame pressers of our players...
  6. One other note - the ratio of Bills fans here is probably higher than the game I went to against Denver in Orchard Park in September. Chargers have no fan base...
  7. I’m at the game. All I see are Bills jerseys and hats. Maybe 75% Bills fans and 25% Chargers fans? At this point there’s 1 charger fan in the section I’m sitting in versus maybe 30 Bills fans? Huge cheers for the team coming out of the tunnel and boos for the Chargers.
  8. I had to invoke the Stubhub Fan Guarantee on this game, never done that before. Seller marked the tickets as delivered electronically, never got an email. Stubhub emailed and called the seller, no response. Supposedly should be getting a new e-ticket in the same section sometime in the next day.
  9. I'm dying to know what he thinks. What happens if Peterman lays an egg? No more Sacred Heart of Peterman avatar?
  10. I'm in Vegas right now. I foolishly only put $50 on the Saints to cover the spread. I'm tempted to take my winnings and put them all on the upcoming Chargers game. I see no way we can win this unless the Chargers find some way to collapse in a more epic fashion than we can.
  11. I respect you as a poster, but I disagree with you here. If you call out the defense, you have to call out the fact that... - Taylor made one completion to Benjamin the entire game. - Taylor exclusively targets his TEs and RBs and completely ignores his WRs. This allows defenses to stuff the box and even in those cases, he doesn't target his WRs. - Taylor had plenty of time to throw today, was rarely under duress (unlike the NYJ game), and yet couldn't find the open throws. He feels more comfortable dumping the ball off, or running with the football rather than throwing the ball downfield. 53 yards doesn't cut it, even if you are playing the 70s steel curtain defenses. It is like the offense is playing with nine guys (or eight in the 3 WR packages). I don't think Peterman is the answer either but Taylor certainly isn't the answer.
  12. I think you start Peterman but I don't think the staff will.
  13. Tolbert either needs to sit on the sideline, or be cut. This guy is hindering the offense.
  14. Tolbert would normally be a FB-type runner, but with DiMarco on the team, I don't think he really plays much of a role. They'd be better served with a change-of-pace RB like a Mike Gillislee, or if you want to go really far back, Kenneth Davis. Tolbert is not that kind of guy.
  15. I agree although the OL was so bad this game that Taylor had no time to hit his hot read. That being said, Romo's observations on TT were spot on. Towards the end of the game the Jets are playing man-to-man on the WRs and Taylor instead throws it over the middle to a double covered O'Leary. Romo called him out on it and he's 100% right. Romo talked about him not trusting his WRs, which seems legitimate, until you realize that this was happening with Watkins as well, so I don't see this changing with Benjamin coming onto the team. I think TT just doesn't like to throw it to the outside down the field.
  16. OL and DL were the biggest issues in this game. No pass protection on the offensive side, and no pass rush on the defensive side. These now instantly become our biggest priorities in the draft next year. On defense, it looked like they were more interested in ripping the ball out than making tackles. The Jets probably noticed this from last week and adjusted to protect the football. I am not a fan of Bowles but this is a textbook example of how to beat Tyrod Taylor. Rush 5, keep a linebacker watching as a spy, and have the spy rush a few seconds after the snap. I think the team beats NO next week, since McDermott is familiar with the NFC south and they have more time to prepare. But, after that, traveling to the west coast for the Chargers, playing at Arrowhead, and facing Belichick and the band of cheaters are going to be tough tasks for this team. I think we see them at 6-6 after this stretch.
  17. I did as well, under warranty, although it was 6 years ago or so. The product line that I bought from Sony had a known issue with the screen failing. It was the most frustrating repair experience I've ever had. Sony had a SINGLE warranty repair man for all of Washington State - this guy would cross the mountain passes to repair TVs. It took weeks for him to show up, he missed his first appointment (claimed his car was stolen, sheesh), and had to make three trips to fix the tv. All in all, it took eight weeks to repair it. I wrote a nasty letter to Sony, got no response. Our next TV will not be a Sony.
  18. The November game against the Jets is where Bills teams of the past with good records have rolled over, and with it, the season died. This is a game this team should absolutely win. This is the game that will show whether or not they have turned the corner. We haven't seen a 6-2 record or better since 1993. This is truly one of the most important games the Bills have played in years. I am nervous as hell but can't wait until Thursday. I know it's early in the season to say this, but I think we will look at this game at the end of the season, and say that it was the game that made the season, or broke it.
  19. Just a flat out great game today. The defense stepped it up after allowing that touchdown on the opening drive. Taylor had a hell of a game... this is the first game where I don't have any criticism of TT. Only two small points with respect to the coaching: - I didn't like McDermott's challenge of the fourth down play. Those short yardage fourth down plays up the middle are almost always inconclusive and he had plenty of time with the measurement to know they weren't going to overturn that. - I thought they should have gone for two on that touchdown that Taylor got at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
  20. This game is a textbook example of why fans are sick of NFL officiating. The Bills not only beat Oakland, but they also beat Hochuli and crew. Rarely have the Bills beaten the officials during the playoff drought.
  21. Nothing I like better than getting a free shipping email in my inbox on a Sunday!
  22. Not sure how that's relevant, but no, just a white guy.
  23. I work for Microsoft in Office and know the team that owns this feature. Feel free to PM me your info and I can log a bug.
  24. This is why I only buy the jerseys of retired greats. Kelly, Smith, Reed, Thomas, etc.
