  1. Adam Schefter on Twitter: "Browns’ training facility is closed again this morning as COVID issues and troubles mount in Cleveland, per source." / Twitter This could get interesting for any implications on the AFC wild card race, should the game need to be postponed...
  2. This is why Knox and Lee Smith got a lot of action in the game on Monday. Belichick was trying to remove Diggs as an option and he left the TEs exposed. If Beasley and Brown are out, look for Knox and Singletary to get more looks from Allen in the passing game. This may have the unpleasant side effect of screwing with QB protection if the TEs have to go out and make more plays instead of pass protecting. If Stills does get signed, it becomes more important for Allen to play on Sunday to develop some kind of rhythm with him.
  3. The 2020 Dolphins remind me of the Bills' 2017 season, where we got into the playoffs thanks to Andy Dalton and the Bengals. The Bills had some crazy turnover advantage early in the season which wasn't sustainable (and, thanks to Nathan Peterman's game against the Chargers, was quickly eaten into), and we had several bounces go our way in our wins. I will agree with most others here - Fitz should be playing this game with Tua on the bench. There are few quarterbacks in the league better than "Good Fitz"... and Fitz tends to put up really good performances against Buffalo.
  4. So you're Tom Donahoe's dad then? How did you start him on babies' blood? Donahoe is the Son of Satan - Page 5 - The Stadium Wall Archives - Two Bills Drive
  5. Dick Jauron's "it's hard to win in the NFL" would beg to disagree. Some like excuses for losing more than winning - it's easier not to put the work in and come up for reasons why you fail instead of putting in the hard work and winning for a change.
  6. This. No sense in fighting for a yard while they try to rip the ball out of your hands.
  7. Hopefully someone told Josh that. Again, there is nothing more I want than to cream these a-holes. 56-10 has a nice ring to it.
  8. On the surface, this might look like Allen trying to pull off the Jim McMahon look, but it's really a tin foil hat-type device aimed at preventing the Patriots* from jamming the QB radio signals :).
  9. I'll be curious to see if he sticks with this story as the week moves on - surely the GM and ownership are gonna nudge him in one direction. Tua has no business starting over Fitz at this point.
  10. This is exactly where I am. I just don't see the potential in Tua. I love how he's taking the benching, I think he is a good teammate but I don't think he is a franchise quarterback. Fitz is arguably as good a "mentor" as they come and he's done decently with the talent Miami has... so I'm just not sold on Tua so far.
  11. Time to petition McBeane to bring back Fitz as a backup. I think he'd be perfect for us.
  12. I am kind of surprised they only wore the throwbacks once this season. The Fins are wearing white next week so this was the last opportunity.
  13. Yup: Buffalo Bills Playoff Spot Clinching Options (playoffstatus.com)
  14. Spot No 2 clinching scenario: Spot #2 - First Round Home Field Advantage Case 1 Bills beat the Patriots, and Steelers lose to the Colts, and Steelers lose to the Bengals, and Titans lose to or tie the Packers
  15. That's the problem. Ben is their only realistic option. I am not a huge fan of Tomlin as a coach but I don't see what other choice he has.
  16. For perspective, to see how far we have come.... Online picture of what purports to be the Bills leaked playbook - The Stadium Wall Archives - Two Bills Drive
  17. Fins or Colts. Week 17 might be very interesting - if the Dolphins win they could end up playing us. If it's a win-and-in situation, where we end up playing the Ravens if we beat the Dolphins, or the Dolphins if they beat us in week 17... it might be wise to play it like a preseason game.
  18. Tell that to the 2007 version of myself that traveled from Seattle and sat in the November cold, for that Sunday night game where the Bills got whooped 56-10. The "highlight" that comes to mind - Belichick going for it on fourth down twice in the third quarter, up 35-7 one time and another time up 42-7 right at the end of the quarter. This isn't even my main issue with that franchise. The lopsided benefit of the doubt on every controversial officiating call, constantly walking the line of the rulebook in controversial ways just to needle opponents (e.g. the consecutive false start penalties against the Jets), digging through the garbage of their opponent's hotel rooms, spygate, deflategate, taking cheap shots at their opponents after big plays (Gronk on Tre White)... the list goes on and on. I wish that franchise nothing but ill will and failure.
  19. I think Cam starts on Monday. BB doesn't seem to want to play Stidham for whatever reason. My guess on 2021 - they draft a QB and sign someone like Fitz for a year. I could see Fitz wanting to play for the evil empire so he could stake the claim of starting for all four AFC East teams.
  20. I don't understand why the Rams would not go for a FG there.
  21. Pop open the trunks of cars as a condition of entry - no grills, beer, etc allowed. You could restrict the main routes of entry to residents with ID and ticket holders (e.g. Abbott, Big Tree, etc). I think this is possible to do, it's a matter of convincing the politicians.
