  1. If they have someone they want at this point... I'd trade up. Those sixth rounders aren't all going to pan out.
  2. How much you wanna bet the Packers are gonna draft Arazia? Bojo ain't the answer for them... Guess not!
  3. I'd trade him if I were the Ravens. His value is extremely high right now and it's clear the team doesn't want to give him Mahomes/Allen money, which is what I think he is gunning for. A team like Seattle would pay for him and sign him to a long term deal. This is why you have an agent - he can shop you around to teams that would give you a big payday and ensure your contract has the right set of protections on your behalf. Penny wise, pound foolish on his part.
  4. I think that's probably right during the Super Bowl. I also think it's fine if you're with a group. At night though... I would not walk that stretch of Century east of 405 alone. Lots of warehouses, abandoned businesses, windows with metal bars over them, etc. The area west of 405 where all the airport hotels are located seemed a lot safer to me. But all of that is based on my experience before the stadium was built. It's entirely possible that the stadium has improved things for that east of 405 Century Blvd corridor.
  5. I'm debating whether to go down for this game from Seattle. The last LA trip I made was to see the 5 INT Peterman disaster at StubHub Center against the Chargers. At least Sofi is conveniently located near LAX for an easy arrival and getaway. Visiting fans can at least avoid the parking charge by getting a hotel near the airport and using rideshare to get to the stadium... even if the area is a bit sketchy.
  6. Dick Enberg and Al Michaels were both very good in their prime. Nantz paired with Romo isn't bad, either. I think Nantz currently sits at the top of NFL pbp guys. John Madden is in a league of his own in terms of color work. Kevin Harlan is underrated, I think he's better than Ian Eagle. For me, bigger names that just aren't very good in the booth are Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Phil Simms, Boomer Esiason, and Cris Collinsworth.
  7. It isn't saying much, but I agree with this. Greggo was a psychopath. Mularkey was not head coaching material. Jauron was lifeless and never showed emotion. Marrone thought way too much of himself. Same with Rex. Chan had miserable talent outside of a few players like Fred, Stevie Johnson, Kyle Williams and Eric Wood. He was only a .333 career head coach for the Bills - the worst of the drought, but his offenses were fun to watch and his players seemed to enjoy playing for him. If we're going to miss the playoffs anyway, I'd rather have a fun offense to watch than be subjected to 8-0 and 6-3 games against Cleveland.
  8. If they have no one else to sign aside from draft picks, I'd love to see them try to move money around by frontloading cash and lower their cap number for future years.
  9. I agree with this. I can't stand either. My preference is a wing that has some heat, with use of a combination of celery, carrots, and beer to cool it down. I don't like the super hot stuff but "medium" usually doesn't cut it for me either, at least outside of WNY.
  10. For overtime, I'd much rather see a fixed 10 minute period with 4th quarter timing rules, with the winner being whoever leads after 10 minutes, or a tie if it's still deadlocked. For PATs, I'd love to see some option to attempt a long kick for additional points. Something like 2 points for a 50 yard attempt, or 3 for a 60 yard attempt, in addition to the traditional two point play on offense from the 2 yard line. It'd increase the importance of the kicker and create interesting decisions depending on how good he is, or how good your offense is. For instance, would you rather have Bass attempt a 50 yard kick for 2 points, or put Allen on offense for one play from the two? The chip is a no brainer. The "two forward pass" rule so drastically alters the game that I think it's baloney.
  11. Tua is not the long term answer for that franchise at quarterback. He's not a scrub like Nathan Peterman, but he's also barely of starting quarterback caliber. He's a serviceable game manager who needs a fast start if they have any hopes of winning the game.
  12. I'm glad Donahoe agrees with TBD. I assume you're also campaigning for these to return as our throwback jerseys?
  13. When it comes to throwing someone in jail, I agree with you, innocent until proven guilty. When it comes to being a prominent public figure - the literal face of an organization, the standard is a lot lower. It becomes a distraction for the organization. It's why Cuomo resigned, it's why CEOs embroiled in sex scandals resign. The fact that the Browns signed this guy to one of the largest contracts in NFL history, who has serious unresolved legal matters before him, and who structured his contract so he wouldn't lose pay should he be suspended by the league, I just don't know what to say. They have no idea whether he's guilty or not -- but if the league determines he's guilty enough to be suspended, the Browns have ensured he will receive his money. What a sick, twisted way to do business. The Browns deserve every bit of criticism they're getting right now. I welcome their fans with open arms.
  14. Don't be surprised to see some of the Browns sponsors distance themselves from the franchise. There will be non-football fans pressuring companies like Progressive, First Energy, and the like to break their sponsorship deals. It will be interesting to see how this evolves...
  15. So we’re all in agreement - the dildos come out at the Browns game now, right? Unbelieveable. He’s obviously chosen Cleveland for the money. If the Bills pulled this, I’d boycott the team until the guy was gone and the GM/coach were fired. I have to imagine there is a contingent of Cleveland fans that feel the same way. Goodell can’t be happy that Watson is one of the highest paid players in the league.
  16. I just want someone who can field the ball reliably without fumbling. Is this too much to ask?
  17. How is Chris Kelsay on this list... he's the biggest TBD whipping boy of all time. More so than Edmunds! And at #36 no less - before Will Wolford, Jack Kemp, and Fred Jackson! Give me a break!
  18. Git 'er done, Beane... this is what Wagner is famous for in the PNW... Stop freakin, call Beacon!
  19. The reason I don't think the Pats will be in primetime this season - we've faced them on MNF (2021, 2020, 2018), and the NFL Network Saturday Special (2019). 2017 was the last time we didn't face the Pats in a national telecast. There are so many good matchups for the Bills this year that I suspect the Pats will take a breather for primetime games this year. Of course, the NFL could disagree.
  20. The one sure thing in the schedule - @KC is going to be a standalone 4:25 CBS national game. CBS hasn't gotten this game in the regular season the last two years - 2020 going to FOX's Thursday package and 2021 being on NBC SNF. If I had to guess, this goes in the first or second week of November. This is the NFL's #1 game they have on the schedule next year and it's going to get top billing, which doesn't necessarily mean SNF. I think we open against the Rams on Thursday Night (NBC), the Packers home game is probably a non-standalone 4:25 on FOX in September, the Bengals game is a MNF game, and I bet we play one of the Dolphins or Jets on Thursday night. I'd also guess that one of the Steelers or Ravens is going to be a SNF or MNF game. I'd be really surprised if we play Detroit on Thanksgiving given we've played 2 out of 3 years and we aren't the Lions or Cowboys. But, the other option in that slot is Miami and I wouldn't be surprised if the NFL is gun shy about giving that franchise national attention on Thanksgiving.
  21. This was the tell tale sign to me... anytime the QB of the winning team doesn't win the MVP, one of two things happened. Either someone else completely stole the spotlight, or he was terrible and thus someone else won it because somebody had to. So our MVP this year was a receiver who had 8 catches (none of them particularly spectacular, say like Tyree's catch or Santonio Holmes' for the Steelers), 92 yards and 2 TD receptions. It's hard for me to get excited about a game like that. At least with a 49ers and Bengals super bowl, you had some history to play for. Rams and Bengals has zero compelling story line for neutral fans.
  22. I was curious about this too... The Chiefs played in Buffalo in the regular season in 2020. This was the result of the regular 3-year rotation among AFC divisions where you play all four teams in a division in a given year. Since the Bills played in Kansas City in 2017, the rotation was due such that they were going to play in Buffalo. In 2021, because the Bills won the AFC East, their AFC West opponent was Kansas City, because they too finished first in their division in 2020. The location of this game was dictated by the rotation as well. The Bills will play AT the AFC west for the 2021 and 2022 seasons, because they hosted the AFC West (Denver in 2019, the Chargers in 2018) in Buffalo. This is why we get the (honor?) of playing at KC for two consecutive seasons. And with the 2023 season bringing the full AFC West into the rotation again - that calls for the game to be in KC as well. So from 2020 onwards, the schedule has looked like... 2020 Regular Season: @BUF 2020 AFC Championship: @KC 2021 Regular Season: @KC 2021 AFC Divisional: @KC 2022 Regular Season: @KC 2023 Regular Season: @KC
  23. This was just a very uninteresting game to me. Neither team was a villain like the Pats* or Brady used to be. The Rams are the embodiment of "Corporate NFL" with their combination of stadium, owner, and fairly pedestrian fanbase. Neither QB lit it up in what is such a quarterback-driven league. The Bengals have fans with heart, and they played a pivotal role in breaking the drought, so I was rooting for them. But even still... it felt like these teams were playing by default after the choke jobs that the Buffalo Defense, Mahomes, and Rodgers delivered.
  24. This sounds like a WWE match... why do they have the rock out there?
  25. Pizza Hut fills two niches - one is pizza in rural areas. The pizza I have had in rural areas outside of the northeastern US has generally been marginally better than frozen grocery store pizza, and on occasion, worse than that. Pizza Hut is likely going to be better and more consistent than what the local dive bar in Idaho serves up, and it's probably the best pizza within a 50 mile radius. The second niche is in ease of ordering and pickup. Pizza Hut can put a few franchises in small and medium-sized cities and can compete on the basis of being closer than the "good" place that's across town. Pizza is a convenience meal for a lot of people, and thus the ability to plug an order into an app, and drive a half mile for pickup, outweighs having to drive twenty minutes each way for better pizza. Doordash and some of the delivery apps have eaten into this (and it's why you see Dominos going all-out in advertisements against them), but they are more expensive and oftentimes slower than just ordering from the business itself. So, while I don't think they will be super successful in WNY, I do think they aren't as bad as some make them out to be. Sure, if I had a La Nova location near me, I wouldn't be ordering Pizza Hut either, but not everyone has that luxury.
