I find no solace in the idea that Chan admits the stupidity of his play calling at a presser after the Bills lose. An idiotic loss is no less idiotic when the idiot admits he may have been wrong.

Official Bills At Chiefs game thread
MichFan replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only one to blame for that implosion is Gailey. KC had no timeouts, Buffalo had first down at the 2min warning. Buffalo should have run the ball for three plays and kicked a FG from wherever they were. Time would have expired when the ball was in the air, no chance for KC to win. Gailey is a freaking idiot. -

That game was mathematically impossible to lose ... Unless you have a complete Fing moron for a coach. Not even Jauron would have lost that game, he would have at least played for the tie. What an Fing pathetic demonstration of being a total Fing bonehead. -

Should been QB run all the way there. Think Fitzy saw the receiver was covered and thought about pulling it back too late. -
Preseason game 1- Bills @ Redskins "Gameday" thread
MichFan replied to Skoobydum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope they sit Fitz and bring someone else in. Pathetic so far. No reason to believe that he or Trent will be any different this year, looking like the same old QBs they were last year. -
PI all the way. Can't catch a ball a splt second after both arms are whacked.

Are we a 2-4 team or a 4-2 team???
MichFan replied to RyanW2279's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills are legitimate a 2-4 team. We can look at McKelvin's fumble and think about what could have been, but then you would also have to take into account the bad snap that the Jets had when attempting a game winning FG. Despite a slew of injuries, the defense has played well enough to win most of the games this year (NO was a 10-7 game in the 4th quarter). IMO, the three biggest problems with this team are: 1. With talent like Terrell Owens, Lee Evans, Josh Reed, Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch on offense, we can't find a way to sustain drives and score points. You can blame the OC, the QB, the O-Line; all that really matters is that the offense isn't getting the job done. 2. Special Teams play -- turning the ball over at horrible times and places on the field. 3. Incompetent decisionmaking by coaches -- too many to count, but I believe the critical coaching blunder of the season was against NO when the Bills had a 4th and 1 around their 35, trailing 17-7, 7:30 on the clock and Jauron chose to punt the ball. Jauron threw in the towel, and they have been a significantly different team since that moment. -
The wheels officially fell off the wagon with this team when Jauron elected to punt the ball away to the Saints on 4th and short, trailing 17-7, with around 7 minutes left in the game. Since then, the Bills have been outscored 48-10 and have looked like a very different team than the one that should have beaten the Pats and held the Saints to 10 points through three quarters. I just don't see these guys putting it all on the line for Jauron anymore. They've seen too many games squandered away by poor coaching and game mismanagement. The sooner Ralph replaces Jauron the sooner we can look torward winning again.

OFFICIAL GAME THREAD: BILLS v. 'PHINS 10/4/2009
MichFan replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Suck it, Dicky. You don't go for it on 4th down with your team trailing by 3 scores. Now it's 4 scores you piece of crap coach. Don't bother coming back to Buffalo. Fly your sorry butt straight to Chicago and relish in your one and only decent season. -
OFFICIAL GAME THREAD: BILLS v. 'PHINS 10/4/2009
MichFan replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Punting the ball guarantees that there can be no comeback. Yet again, this team is trying to manage the margin of loss. Edwards is an idiot for checking down on 3rd and 6 -- better to take a chance and get picked again than to look like a freaking idiot. This team is an embarrasment. I hope TO calls everyone out tonight. -
I don't see many Bills games anymore, but Jackson is my pick from the half-dozen times I've seen over the last year. Jackson seems to attack the line with the expectation of ending up on the other side and getting a lot of yards. Lynch seems to hesitate at the line with the hope of not being rocked too hard.

I've been having a lot of fun with the Wii version -- something I haven't been able to say about a Madden game since '95 on the Sega Genesis. Screenshots make the Wii version look cartoony, but in motion it looks more like an arcade game. I really like the look. My son loves playing 5-on-5 with the All-Play mode. Pretty soon he'll bump up to intermediate controls. This version is definitely the best one to get if you have younger children and want to introduce them to video football. You do need to get some codes to unlock all the features of the game -- my understanding is that this is to fight piracy.

Take a 15-yard penalty next time TN punts and send a message. Then don't punt the rest of the game because we only have Moorman.
-
Thurman's 3rd Qtr fumble in the last SB . Bills had the lead, they were dring, the fumble changed the momentum of the game.
-
Fire coaching staff immediately after this game. They have proven they have no business in this league, none at all. How they can call a pass there, when they were winning on the ground, is unreal. JP is a known entity -- all the more reason to run it there. JP interception = all the more reason to dump these ignoramouses.

The "Official" Bills MNF gameday thread
MichFan replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can't be serious. 47-yards into the wind from the left hash? Bills on the 33 with 1:00 left in the game and they get 3 yards on 3 runs? When they are obviously setting up for a field goal, they run Lynch wide-left on 3rd down? And you pin this loss on Lindell? Wow. Do you have family on the coaching staff? -

Ever hear of the impact wind has on a football? And you're calling other people idiots... -

The outside run on 3rd down -- unbelievable. Not only do they give up on getting Rian closer, they make him kick into the wind from the left hash. Un-freaking-believable. There needs to be some pink slips handed out tomorrow. -
Xavier Oman chosen over Mike Hart ??
MichFan replied to gsurdam's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Being "Michfan", I figured I better chime in on this one. I like Hart a lot and wish him nothing but the best. I just don't think he projects well at all to the NFL. He's undersized and underspeed for the pro game. He was slippery at the college level, he won't be in the pros. There was no such thing as an "open field" when Hart ran with the ball. I think he's more likely to end up like a Kijana Carter than a Dave Megget. I would have considered it a feel good pick for a Syracuse native had the Bills drafted him, so I have no complaints with the Oman pick if it was done in the same vain. Oman has better upside. It was a 6th rounder. It was a difficult draft for a Michigan/Bills fan to watch. Long and Henne went to the hated Dolphins. No Michigan guys were drafted by Buffalo. But... facts are facts. Henne, Long, and Hart were the star power for a team that lost nearly every big time game it played. Can't blame 'em all on the "O", but their record against Ohio St. and in bowl games is the worst run I can remember for UMich. -
The experts said we had one of the worst drafts last year. We saw how that turned out. Now they say we are the worst in the East. Things are really looking up.

Youbouty versus a 1st round drafted CB
MichFan replied to Pyrite Gal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Screw the pragmatist approach, I say give him a try. It would be great if he turned into a lockdown corner for us, and after every great play he makes they play "Shake you bouty, shake you bouty, yea, shake shake shake...shake, shake, shake... shake you booty" Now that's the kind of fun we need to get back to having at the Ralph. -
PFT says Krumrie whipped Branch
MichFan replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That Branch was even considered a top-10 pick amazes me and shows how crazy draft experts are. Krumrie didn't unearth anything that those in Ann Arbor didn't already know. The upside with Branch is to be a capable backup for 1-2 years and be groomed into an average but solid starter. Decent value at late-1st or early 2nd, any higher and some GM will have some explaining to do. -
Who is the best bill you ever met?
MichFan replied to Yasin's BILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kelly, Ritcher, and Smerlas -- all very nice guys. Sorta OT in this forum, but have to add that Don Luce was an incredibly nice guy the couple of times i met him in the 70's. -
I guess I'm out in left field on this one. Seems to me that if Moorman did not get back up, Taylor would have been criminalized for making a hit like that on a punter in an exhibition game when he could have just tackled him. Because Moorman did get up it's highlight reel material. Doesn't take away from the fact that Taylor is a complete bush-league a-hole for doing that, and Moorman is a true Pro-Bowler for how he handled it. Jauron and co. have a long offseason. I hope in their little bit of free time, they develop plans for returning the favor on both Bellichek's punter and Taylor (Redskins on the upcoming schedule). Paybacks are hell, they better be there for both these people. I'll gladly have us take a 15-yarder in each game to deliver the message.

There's a design floating around where the buffalo is galloping straight at you and it has crossed sabres underneath. It looks awesome. Get rid of the slug and put that logo on -- we'll be one of the best looking teams on ice.
