  1. Wow. This post has so many dead on points it's unreal. Bravo man, you just summed up being an early 20's guy perfectly.
  2. couldnt agree more. what is all this stock falling and dropping BS? A player is either good or he's not.
  3. Perfectly said. The NFL Draft, with its "reaches", "busts", experts, mock drafts, pro days, ect. has to be the most fickle thing in all of sports. Is there anyone in sports whose opinion matters less than Mel Kiper? Yet, teams are awarded draft grades just days after the draft, solely depending on where players went in comparison to Kiper's projections. It makes me sick. With that said, I'm 100% addicted and always will be
  4. Donte Whitner was not a mistake, not even close.
  5. This is the same damn team, plus a 3rd line center, as the one that sucked all year and missed the playoffs. The defense is brutal and needs a complete overhaul. Who knows why you would bring back Teppo, and not suggest Pratt as a 3rd pair guy. Let me break it down for you about Max. Like I said earlier, I'm as big a fan of his as there is. To compare him to Jochen Hecht and then use points per game as a determining factor is ridiculous. If Max doesn't lead Hecht by a fair margin in points, then there is a major problem. 75% of Hecht's role is defense. He's one of our top PK guys as a defensive specialist, yet he was able to pitch in with 20+ goals and center a line where Jason Pominville, whom many figured would be sh-- without Briere, went on to score 80 points. Hecht's role is absolutely essential to any team looking to make it in the playoffs, where Afinogenov, who may be speedy and dynamic, seemed to skate around and do nothing all year. I do think we'll Max a lot when he's gone, but just don't say Max > Hecht because he has more points. JP Dumont has more points than Chris Drury this year. Who would you rather have?
  6. Holy crap. To think this is in response to what you think are bad moves...that is just mindboggling to me. Kalinin is horrible, absolutely worthless with the emergence of Weber and Sekera. Afinogenov has been my favorite Sabre since day 1, but even I can admit has days seem to be numbered and needs a change of scenery. Hecht is one of our most solid all-around players, and had a fantastic year. He should be a mainstay on the 2nd line, why you would want to dump him is beyond me. Lastly, Adam Dennis, ...you gotta be kidding. He's horrendous, and that is a gross understatement. There's no reason to call people out to stop watching games when you don't really know anything yourself.
  7. I'm not sure I like this 2 WR's in the first 3 rounds idea. Reed and Parrish are both very solid and versatile, maybe not for the #2 and #3 spots, but they both can be very effective in the slot. I'm more than satisfied with: Evans Kelly/Sweed/Thomas/Hardy Reed Parrish WE NEED TO GET PARRISH THE BALL MORE!
  8. One of the weirdest things I've ever heard. I felt awkward just listening to it.
  9. This is foolish logic. You don't blame the incoming rookies for the inept defense the last few years. I don't know where you are getting this "buried on the depth chart" line. Simpson started a full season, broke his leg 5 minutes into the next one, but now he's "buried." Why the ridiculous negativity?
  10. are you kidding me...that rap was sick.
  11. ill tell ya, this is borderline perfect. i like every single move you made here. re-signing evans would be the only thing you didnt mention. send your resume to one bills drive.
  12. agreed...but then again what happened during the super bowl years. for about 5-6 years starting in 1990-1991ish, our drafts were horrendous..
  13. If you believe all this, it screams one thing....TRADE DOWN. get Lynch or Willis at 15-18
  14. No, I just don't want to draft a backup at 12th overall. We don't a backup to Losman WR doesn't seem like a smart move as we've invested a 1st and 2rd in recent years We just threw 49 mil at one guard and have a few guys capable at starting the other spot Schobel and Kelsey are signed long term I hardly see DE and guard as "justified" when we have gaping holes at RB, CB, and LB
  15. looks like you did your research, but i for one would not be happy with a 1st round guard. it's not a good pick at #12 and we have bigger needs at skill positions.
  16. I dont want to become a part of this little disagreement you guys are having, but I dont understand your condesending tone while he presents a really good point. To make fun of him because he ripped your point a new one, is the epitome of immature. It seems you are pretty full of yourself, son.
  17. I think the point he is trying to make, is that most fans base their opinions on the draft, whether they are "surprized" or whether its "warrented," by comparing the actual results to that of "expect" mock drafts. Noone had Whitner in top 10 going to Buffalo, so it immediately became a bad pick, which is a joke. And while the pick may have been borderline surprizing, its only because 99% of fans and 90% of "experts" are obsessed with the sexy pick. Lienart was available??? and they took WHITNER!!! It's jsut horribly skewed logic.
  18. aren't 3 and 4 the same thing? and we don't need 2 more DT's. MAYBE one until McCargo gets a shot
  19. damn hes stupid. it really is ridiculous. its like he's never heard of the NFL draft
  20. dang..Bassey has some nice features (speed, height) hopefully he can play football
