  1. Clearly noone else in Bills management saw this as a win-win or he would be a Bill. He obviously wanted too much money, or we didn't think he'd fit well. Someone solid will be cut by June 1st, and if we're that desperate, we will grab someone...but I don't see it as a problem yet.
  2. Just more proof that the Malcolm Kelly free-fall over the past month, by the mock "experts" and then consequently on TBD, is just ridiculous. If the guy is there within 8 picks of our 2nd rounder, I would do anything in our power to trade up and get him.
  3. DBC will be an elite talent for years to come. The guy has the natural athleticism you always covet in a gamebreaking corner. I'd be thrilled if we took him at 11, and found a way to get Thomas, Sweed, Kelly, or Nelson later on.
  4. I've seen Nelson compared to Anthony Gonzalez and Ed McCaffery, and I'm assuming those are easy comparisons to make because they are all white, but both of those comparisons are WAY off IMO. Watching clips of Nelson, he looks a lot like an Eric Moulds. Big, powerful, and with a lot of speed. Great at creating plays down the field, but just as effective on a WR screen. I'm really not sure where this slot receiver idea is coming from, but I think he is your prototypical outside receiver. The guy has a very balanced skillset and seems to be a hard worker. I'd love him on this team.
  5. There have been too many leaks saying the Bills like DRC for that to be true. Wouldn't shock me if he was their guy.
  6. It's ridiculous isn't it. The word terrible is being thrown around wayyyy too much.
  7. Very true, the coaching staff obviously knows who will work best in their system, and it's up to the fans to have a little faith. They have done a great job in the last 3 years of putting the pieces in place.
  8. I'm going to try say this without sounding like a dick, but who are you to decide/already know who the marginal players are? What makes Earl Bennett a solid choice to "fill the WR hole," but Devin Thomas is "marginal." Also, who knows if we get a solid contribution from a rookie WR this year...guys like Boldin, Bowe, and even Lee Evans do exist.
  9. That draft would improve the team immensely.
  10. Turk finally figures out how to use Roscoe like the Pats use Welker and he has 600+ yards receiving and 5+ TDs
  11. Astro, where is Cason slated to go?
  12. All-around, it sounds like a very talented CB class.
  13. From everything I've read and seen of the kid, it sure seems like he can be elite. He might be a little raw, but his physical tools are the best on a CB we've seen in years.
  14. I guess I don't know enough about the 2nd round CBs. I know Flowers is a gamer but will he last to 41? I like Jordy Nelson a lot so I would more than excited with a DRC/Nelson combo.
  15. Can I ask why you feel this way? There are no other slam dunk obvious picks here other than CB, and DRC seems to be the one with the most potential to be an all-pro. Rivers seems like a luxury pick considering Crowell/Poz/Mitchell are an above average group. Harvey wouldn't be bad, but a part of me wants to see what Schobel and Kelsey/Denney can do with much improved DTs. There are no WRs or TEs worthy of the pick. CB seems like an almost obvious move here.
  16. Right on. The worst thing would be to draft someone without high work ethic and passion.
  17. Not to knitpick, but if this guy is NOT blessed with all the physical attributes, than Donald Driver probably isn't the best comparison. Other than diminutive WRs like Santana Moss and Roscoe, Driver has the quickly set of feet on a WR I've seen. He straight up makes DBs look silly after the catch and you always see him take 10 slant patterns for 70 yard TDs.
  18. uhh yea. He's 6'2", ran a 4.33, MVP of the Senior Bowl, and is a ballhawk. Who wouldn't want him?
  19. I'll be absolutely thrilled if we get DRC.
