Yea, pretty much a bunch of studs all over the field now. Bout time after sucking for so long. Add to that Lynch, Evans, Hardy, Edwards, and Peters....i like it.
couldn't agree more. however, it's nice to get some recognition when we fill major holes with big name players, considering ESPN (minus Boomer) may have said "buffalo" a total of 3 times in 20 hours of coverage.
This probably sums up best the opinions of many on this board perfectly. IMO the value of the draft is early on. The first 3 rounds you get your starters, and later on you work on depth, but more importantly you pick players based on how effective you think they will be in time. You don't take a crappy TE in the 3rd if you don't think the value is there. You don't take a center in the 3rd if you don't like who is available. That is the quickest way to build a team full of average players.
Why bother watching? That has nothing to do with it. He's simply stating that he's letting the scouts do their job and isn't trying to pretend that he knows more than them. And no, the "fun of watching it" isn't bitching and complaining that we took a OLB in the 5th friggin round instead of a 3rd string tackle. It just doesn't matter at that point, you're trying to find a diamond in the rough, and the guys that are picking our players know 1000x more than anyone on this board.
That's asinine. Go let me get this straight...Last year's team + Stroud + Mitchell + Hardy + McKelvin + experience for last years rookies (Edwards, Poz, Lynch) will have 2 wins if Peters goes down? Tell me how in the Christ that makes any sense, and shouldnt be viewed as brutally pessimistic and negative?
Awesome! Another moronic post in the mold of all the others I've seen in the past few hours. If you have this uncanny ability to already gauge that these players will be "special teams players or cuts," what the !@#$ are you doing on a message board? And another point genius, the Patriots secure another top rated passer in the 3rd....what for?!? You're arguing that the Bills aren't getting starters, but it's OK for the Pats to get someone who won't see the field for 10 years. Hypocrisy is a B word.
