  1. Alright that makes sense I guess. I do know that if were one of his buddies being dealt, it sure as hell wouldn't say the same thing.
  2. Is there a single poster on this site that wants Kelsey on the Bills? I've seen a fair share of disliked players in the past, but Kelsey may be the first one that has everyone against him. Rob Royal too I guess - losing these guys truly is the epitome of addition by subtraction.
  3. lol. you know who else was watching? Jason Peters. Guys were flying by him all year and he couldn't really do much about it.
  4. ugh just stop. the black guys on the team were "in" on the joke - it's an absolute non-issue.
  5. I read recently that it actually makes the NHL money, because it keeps more teams in the playoff hunt at the end of the season. I don't like it either, and think they should go to a system in which 3 points are given out every game, but whatever.
  6. When Simon gives someone a standing O, you know they had a "special" night. Adam is quite talented.
  7. I was the biggest Drury fan of them all. Hell, I would have led a !@#$ing parade for the guy 3 years ago. However, that $8 mil/year contract is scary bad, and 99% of Rangers fans have been crying to get rid of him and his contract for anything. The fact he scored twice last night is nice, but he's 2 years into one of the worst contracts in league history. And in the scenario you presented, you really think a core of Drury, Roy, and Pominville would be better off? That sounds like complete sh-- to me. Again, I'm not sure what the right answer was. Drury needed to have been signed in October '06 for $4.5 mil like it was rumored. If he is on this team at that price instead of Hecht, the team's complexion is much different. Also, no one in their right mind would have taken the 4 1st rounders for Vanek, especially after losing your co-captains. 23 year olds do not score 42 goals and lead the league in +/-. I'm still very glad Vanek is locked up. Hopefully Connolly can stay healthy next year and those two can build some chemistry.
  8. Adam's song gave me chills. He creeps me out though.
  9. It's a tough call. Obviously, the trio listed above were studs in Buffalo. However, you need to pick your poison. Keep those 3 and say goodbye to 2 of Pominville, Roy, and Vanek - and then probably Stafford and Sekera this year. How good would Drury and Briere have been without the ridiculous secondary (or primary) scoring from the "3rd line"? I guess we'll never know.
  10. I'd also like to add that our defense is !@#$ing terrible. Please GOD let Tyler Myers be the #1 d-man we've been lacking since 1970...
  11. The problem is not that we didn't lock up Briere/Drury/Campbell - none of them are living up to half their contract right now - the issue is that Pominville and Hecht are making a combined 9 mil. Darcy/Lindy/Quinn and whoever else seriously overrated how good most of our guys are. Only Vanek, Connolly, and Roy should be top 6 forwards on a good team, with an honorable mention to Staff and Poms when playing well.
  12. Well said, 100% agree. The infatuation with draft picks is simply ridiculous. The only way you trade Jason Peters is if you get a few impact players at much needed positions.
  13. I own a Sky Caddie. It's great, and more helpful that you would ever imagine. Especially if you tend to slice one onto a parallel fairway
  14. How can you shoot women or children? Easy! Ya just don't lead 'em so much!
  15. was anyone else hoping that she would just rip her clothes off?
  16. Teed off around 1. Very overcast, started pouring after 6 holes - all groups were called in and we got to enjoy the ridiculous clubhouse/proshop for a few hours. The whole time I'm obviously nervous as all hell that I won't get all 18 in (or get to #17, which is what really matters). Got back out around 5, and got to #17 around 8:30 just as the sun was starting to set. The pictures I have of the island green are breathtaking.
  17. A 64, in the clutch, at Sawgrass, is as impressive as it gets. I was fortunate enough to play Sawgrass in July, and every time I see NBCs Players' promos, I get a chill. What an experience that was. If you're a golfer, you gotta play that course ASAP.
  18. Phil has one Tiger-esque moment. Making the putt on the 72nd at Augusta, and then jumping 3" into the air. The rest of his defining moments are ripping his drive into a tent in the US Open and other similar mindless, idiotic decisions. I like Phil, quite a bit, but he has been the anti-Tiger for 95% of his career. He has quite possibly has the best wedge game the sport has ever seen, and he's a great putter when on his game, but he doesn't have the IT like Woods does. Regarding the level playing field, has it occured to you that Tiger is just THAT good? He's won 14 of the past 28 tourneys he's entered. The most significant with a torn ACL. His resume has no parallel.
  19. Well said. When his career is over, you can probably make a highlight reel of just ridiculous shots (chip in on #16 at Augusta) and clutch putts (endless) to span for 4 hours. He's the greatest, most impressive athlete I've ever seen. Gives me the chills man....the guy is special.
