  1. That's the first I've heard about Wood or Byrd being reaches. It's easy to get a negative/pessimistic view on these players when you're surrounding yourself with opposing team's fans. Of course they're going to say sh-- like "he's a reach" or "he'll be a bust." I know it's stupid to site McShay or Kiper's opinions as truth by any means, but they do follow this sh-- 24/7/365, and both have said Buffalo had the best (or one of the best) draft. It counts for something.
  2. maybe not. as the best athletes on their respective college teams, they should have been playing corner. and as it turns out, some of them (including the 1st DB taken in the entire draft), project better as a safety.
  3. non-elite players? define that. i'd say top 2 at your position is elite. wood and levitre were exactly that - centers and guards don't go early round 1, tackles do. it sounds like you're a miserable !@#$ and want everyone to be as miserable as you. you jump from "it's hard to assemble on o-line in 1 year" to "this is not a playoff team" all in one thought. i bet you're awesome to watch the game with.
  4. Flipping around on the Bills Video site, Maybin and Wood are incredibly well spoken. They have nothing but great things to say about the team/franchise/city and have had exposure to the Bills before they were selected in one way or another. Of course they are told to say certain, cliche things, but it seems very genuine IMO. I went from being satisfied to very excited about the Maybin pick. You can tell he has an awesome work ethic and drive to be the best he can be.
  5. This was my favorite part. Well done. You should do stand up.
  6. You said you a gansta but you never pop nuttin' We said you a lankster and you need to stop frontin' You ain't a friend of mine, (yeah) You ain't no kin of mine, (nah) What makes you think that I wont run up on you with the nine We do this all the time, right now we on the grind So hurry up and copy and go selling nicks and dimes Shorty she so fine, I gotta make her mine A ass like that gotta be one of a kind I crush 'em everytime, punch 'em with every line I'm !@#$ing with they mind I make 'em press rewind They know they can't shine if I'm around the rhyme Been on parole since 94 cause I commit the crime I send you my line, I did it three to nine If D's ran up in my crib, you know who dropping dimes
  7. Agreed 100% Why the !@#$ didn't we trade up for Crabtree too? WTF RUSS!!!!1!!!!!!. I saw him play THREE !@#$ING TIMES!!!!!!!
  8. If we took this guy in the 7th, and picked up a CB after the draft, would there be less C- grades and more A- grades? The collective intelligence of this board is at an all-time low. I can't wait until draft fever is over.
  9. What a terrible post. You're wrong on nearly everything.
  10. Talk about never being satisfied, Jesus H. Christ guy. They choose 5 value 2nd rounders, we pick 2 of them, but you want different guys. Un!@#$ingbelievable. And are you really blasting the front office because we'll have to cut George Wilson or Seth McKinney? I'm seriously floored right now.
  11. Everything depends on the play of our left tackle and Edwards. The the tackle play is average and Trent is above average, we have a great shot.
  12. Ah, an argument with coherent points, how refreshing. Yes, Jacksonville took 2 DE's last year, but looking at our roster, it seems improbable we would make such a move considering the guys we already have. It would, for all intents and purposes, be throwing in the towel on last years 3rd round pick Ellis. The guy deserves a shot before his spot is not taken by 1, but 2 guys.
  13. I know it's insane right!! The thought of a cornerback moving 15 feet over to play safety in coverage, just crazy talk. The guy has a specific skill set, and it just so happens that it is exactly what personnel guys look for in an NFL safety. He could get away with man to man coverage in college, but that may not be the case in the pros. Regardless, he is a gamer, and has knack for making big plays. Shoving Kelsay out the door? Did you happen to miss pick #11? We chose a defensive end, the same position that he happens to play. I really have no idea where you're going with that. Lastly, the only thing ridiculous about this entire topic is your need to insist "we could have done better." What the !@#$ does that even mean? Do you know something that we all don't? Please, grace us with your knowledge of how these players will turn out. Or at the very least, offer an alternative so I know what the hell you're talking about.
  14. I've read many of your posts in the past, so I know you're not a loony toon like some of the posters that have some out of the woodwork today, but you need to chill the f out with the tight end stuff. Yes, a tight end is a good outlet for a younger QB. Yes, it would have been cool as !@#$ if Pettigrew fell to #28. But what's the rationale for being "discouraged" with this draft so far? ONE tight end was picked after Pettigrew, and he had TWELVE career catches. There will be a shitload of tight ends available in round 4 if we need one. Realllly not sure why this is stressing you out so much.
  15. Absolutely none of that makes sense - from your football logic to your stupid political joke at the end. How in the hell do you know "what could have been" 10 hours after these guys were picked? How did we not "improve our team" when we had Bryan Scott/Ko Simpson/George Wilson in a starting role? And for the 785th !@#$ing time, Byrd is playing safety, which makes our safety depth expendable, not Youboty or Corner. If you really want to argue if teams would be fighting to pick up Ko Simpson or George Wilson than go ahead, cause that's where your argument leads you.
  16. You could not agree more that the Bills should be in Toronto in 2012? Do us all a favor: go back to February 2009, and don't register on this board.
