I work in drug discovery pre clinical Neuroscience in Groton. We are the first line of research that identifies compounds for future development. As the first line, we get to see a lot of heartache when what appears to be great looking drugs, are killed by toxicology screens.

And there is Charmed, Desperate Housewives, and Dead Like Me on and I got no time for answering the door. Kids in Groton, CT stay the hell away from T-Bone Halloween night, go to East Lyme and mess up their homes

In some ways, it would be great to win it in Boston...too bad we have a 2-3-2 schedule, a 2-2-1-1 schedule would improve the chance to win it at home.

Our site heads made a bet about the World Series that was reported in our internal intranet paper. St. Louis site head bet a case of Michelob vs our site's case of Sam Adams on the winner of the World Series. Michelob? Is that the best freaking beer that they got in St. Louis? Our site head was gracious enough to offer the case of Michelob to be given away to a "lucky" employee via a drawing. Sorry, but Da Boneman will pass.

Well Brandon, you were alone on this board a few weeks ago but now it seems that you have a bunch of converts to the Cardinals on this board. But I know that you are the only real Cardinal fan here. I am worried about this 3 game series in St. Louis, got a bad feeling in my T-bone...

The problem with that is at Penn State, nobody is higher up than JoePa, he has spent his time building a fiefdom there where he is the only person who can say whether he goes or not. I mean , for crying out loud, he has a buddy on the PSU payroll whose only job is to turn on the lights in the practice facility at the start of the day and then turn them off at night. Joe is only going to leave when he wants to and sadly that is not going to happen anytime soon.

Thank God I got the Red Sox and the Patriots, Penn State is really breaking my heart this year. And Matt Brennen in Blue White Illustrated wrote an article about Penn State going to the Alamo Bowl if the won 4 out of the last five games....guess that is not going to happen...

Thanks for your kind words about the Red Sox, tough three games in St. Louis coming up. I think that Bledsoe is with the team for the rest of the year, maybe in the offseason he may get let go, but I just don't see it before. O line needs to be beefed up for JP before he can play and be effective.

I saw this movie yesterday, and the audience I was with did not do anything but laugh. Very hokey story and it was all cheap scares like a cat jumping out at you and then when you turn around, a goofy looking ghost is about to get you. Gellar is going to beg Joss Wedon to make a Buffy movie, if she is going to pick films like this. When I was leaving the theater, a guy turned to me and said what a waste of money, I have to agree.

Man, if all the games in this World Series is going to be like this, my heart is not going to take it.
