First, the Red Sox are not going to make a hugh counteroffer for Pedro, his performance in the AL is not worth 50 million. Most they will give him is two years for 25 million. Second, Pedro would be better off going to the NL, somewhere like San Diego, a warmer climate and teams that do not know him, he would have great success. Third, this deal will backfire on Steinbrenner just like the A-Rod deal. Not only is Pedro going to have problems repeating his success but Steinbrenner is going to alienate a lot of fans. Of course when all the Yankee fans starts raving about how great Pedro is the irony will be most delicious.

If UConn wins they are eligible for a bowl, and where ever they get to go, UConn fans need to support the team in order to ensure future bowl bids. A sad truth is that regardless of your record, teams who bring the fans get the picks over other teams with similar records.

That show really is starting to fall apart. They no longer show highlights of every game. They went on and on about the MNF-Desperate Housewives thing. Collinsworth first starts bitching about why are we talking about this (kind of sounds like the board) and then says the ratings for DH will be doubled because of MNF. Huh? Doesn't he know that DW is a big hit and in the top ten? I think that ABC was trying to boost the ratings of MNF instead of DW with that ploy. You really have to wonder what these guys know outside of football, if you think they know that much about football. Joe Queenan, I read his articles in Movieline years ago and found him to be an annoying know nothing. The way he was harping about football genuises makes me long for the days of Wanda Stykes. One Bright Sport, three of them picked the Bills over the Rams, I think Chris Carter picked the Rams.
