  1. He probably feels cursed,,, not for playing in Buffalo specifically but for being in the AFC conference in the Mahomes/Reid era. Just bad timing. Allen is way better than Hurts and Purdy and those guys have SB appearances. 13 seconds hurt worse than this by a mile. I felt like the SB was ripped away like Lucy pulling the football from Charlie Brown. This year we lost on our own terms, and to some extent last season too. We had the ball late in the games to score a TD and take the lead. Mahomes has done it, we don't. That's who we are.
  2. Finally went out and got a haircut this morning, lol. Was holding out till the playoff run was over. Will get a chance to watch some Netflix shows i've been saving for the offseason.
  3. I don't look at it that we "gave" Mahomes to KC. Reason is we were never drafting him. The Bills would've made their pick (not for Pat), the Chiefs may have traded with the next team and gotten him.
  4. We took the talent on offense and D and eeeked out every last ounce of success from it. When we opened the season with Damar Hamlin as the starter and relying on guys like Keon, Samuel, Hollins as receivers. I was like this is going to be a 9-10 win season if we're lucky. They overachieved. It hurts, but we would not match up with Philadelphia. We would have been 0-5 in Super Bowls. KC matches up with the Eagles better.
  5. Cowherd had a good opening monologue on the Bills game. Made some valid points. I won't articulate all the points he made... but the essence was that the Chiefs are liberated in high pressure playoff games. They don't get conservative, they get more aggressive...Mahomes runs too which he dials back in the regular season. He feels the Bills are very very close to KC, but they shrink in the pressure, get more conservative, and even if it's shrinking by a tiny margin it's enough. And of course the coaching by Reid and Spags is not matched on our side.
  6. Kincaid needed to make that catch on a hero pass. We so desperately needed one of the receivers to make a huge play and he failed. I blame him directly just like Ravens fans blamed Andrews last week. Fail.
  7. You have the wrong owner if you want a coaching change. This is a man who own an NHL team...who changes coaches all the time and he sees the longest drought in NHL history. On the other side he has one of the winningest coaches ever and they make the playoffs every year,,,i don't think this owner is making drastic changes. He's traumatized from the hockey team and won't mess with the Bills.
  8. Chiefs kick it into another gear in the playoffs... it's pretty obvious, both players and coaches go next level. Mahomes doesn't even use his legs in the regular season...doesn't expose himself much, and then in Jan/Feb he is a gazelle out there. I thought Allen would be the one to do that. For the rest of this Mahomes/Reid era I will not give a crap if we beat them in the regular season. Means nothing unless we can beat them when it matters.
  9. Bills knew Spags had pulled all safeties in and was bringing the blitz on just about every play...I thought the best way to beat this was to roll Allen out and he either scrambles, passes to a RB ahead of him or hits a wideout about 10 yds deep or on a crosser...but those repeated up the gut run calls or keepers sealed their doom...poor play calling and a waste of Josh Allen's talents. If you watch KC playoff games, you know they are aggressive especially with the game on the line. We were not.
  10. We just wasted so much time in the first Qtr and half the 2nd trying to figure out how to stop KC and how to move the ball on them. We were clearly outcoached for a while and that sucks. I thought our staff was better than that, but again, Mahomes will make plays no matter what. The Bills could have had 5 giveaways in that game and didn't have any, so that was pretty lucky in our favor too.
  11. Josh didn't play his best game but he did not choke. Things were coming together in the 2nd half but KC's superior defense just made plays at the end. As the season was down the stretch and even in those first two playoff games, it became really apparent how our receivers and tight ends were not getting open much. Shakir is special, Hollins overachieved for sure... the rest were just meh. I heard an interview with Jesse Palmer a few weeks ago, who mentored Josh in the past. He said he actually called Allen and told him to stop throwing on the sidelines and landing on his right shoulder, exposing it to injury. Jesse explained it's going to take a couple years off his career and really wants Allen to stop taking those risky hits specifically on his right shoulder. I did find it a bit odd that in his earlier years, Josh would take off and run and really do damage with his legs. Now he scrambles to the sidelines and try's to make a ridiculous low% throw, which he sometimes completes. But a bit more scrambling and getting rush yards last night may have made the difference.
  12. Yep, Allen is fine and still has some good years left. I mean he's better than Hurts and now Hurts has two Super Bowl appearances. It's just the life of being in the same era as Mahomes. He's denying a lot of other QB's.
  13. The guy is like 8 feet tall, can he ever knock down a Mahomes pass?!?
  14. This is still better than the drought. I mean look at some of us who are Sabres fans. That's to the point i don't even watch any hockey anymore. The sport has been ruined by a drought. I haven't thought about the actual opening of it much, but I am getting pumped about the new stadium. I think we need something fresh and uplifting. Like a new beginning while still having a good, competitive team. That first season in the new place will be a lot of fun.
  15. We would not have stopped Barkley that's for sure. But i think it woulda been tight, probably saved ourselves from being 0 for 5 in Super Bowls. We will see though, if the Chiefs crush the Eagles maybe that would make me think differently. But KC matches up better, their D is flat out better than ours.
  16. There have been several games in the 2nd half of the season where the spots are getting marked backwards. It's a weird thing. It's not just in Bills games either. Watch the Super Bowl closely, you'll see it.
  17. I fell asleep around 1:30am and woke up at 4:30am,,,could not fall back to sleep.. just tossing and turning thinking about all the little things that could have changed the outcome.. Also, just how snakebit this team is, and this City is when it comes to winning the biggest game(s). I don't feel bad for me, I've already suffered through the early 80's playoff failure...the four Super Bowl losses, etc.. I feel bad for my kids and some of my extended family who are in their 20's and desperately wanted to experience a Bills Super Bowl berth.
  18. Yep. But he's consistently said he is playing for the only team he ever wants to play for. So we'll see how that shakes out. I've been saying for 3 years that Allen will finish his career with his boyhood team, 49ers or with the Rams (where he lives now).
  19. The spots sucked. I hated it. But all we've asked for is for Buffalo/Allen to have the ball in the final couple minutes to win the game. It all came to fruition...and we still could not get it done. Didn't even come close. That was incredibly disappointing.
  20. He most definitely did not play great. We are his biggest fans and can admit that.
  21. Man, this is the part that hurts. All the stats in this Allen/McD showing the Bills are the "First team in history" to do this and that...and now Josh is known for being the first QB in NFL history to be winless 4 times against the same QB in the playoffs. I believe three other QB's are tied at 0-3, one being Dan Marino (vs Jim Kelly) in their playoff history. As Bills fans we can talk about all the great things JA has done for this franchise that we'll never see again,,, but Nationally this is his legacy unless something changes in the last half of his career.
  22. it bothers me, and we all know it that if Buffalo was leading 32-29 with 3 mins remaining and the situation reversed, Mahomes would have driven down and probably scored a GW touchdown. And we couldn’t.
  23. He wasn’t great but i don’t think he choked. He played against the best D-Line by far. Defense win championships people forget that. We scored 29 points and lost, i mean cmon the D needs to play bigger in these huge games. I told people this week it’s almost impossible to beat a very good team twice in a season. I never want to hear about regular season wins vs KC anymore. All it does is amp up the Chiefs to beat us in the playoffs.
  24. Lamar is going home with Josh’s MVP Mahomes is going home with Josh’s AFCCG trophy Josh is going home with Hailee.
