Shady hosting females-only party(now:back to business party)
zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Poor Shady...having to let guys in. to quote Stewie from Family Guy, "this place is gonna be a sausage fest". -
It comes up about once a year on this board that Howard University uses the Bills charging bison logo on their helmets. Well, no more. They have their very own bison now. I think Bucknell also used the Bills logo up until about 2000. http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/grade-point/wp/2015/07/16/howard-changes-its-logo-its-still-a-bison-but-its-no-longer-the-buffalo-bills-bison/

I got some newbie person in retention who was very nice but said she couldn't find any decent discounts for Sunday ticket Max. She finally got a supervisor to come over and that person reiterated that I should call back closer to the season and they will have better discounts to offer. In the meantime, the newbie lady gave me $120 credit immediately for being a loyal customer (15 years) and another loyalty credit of $10/mo. for 6 months. So that's $180 credit for doing nothing and i will call back in a couple weeks and have another conversation specifically about ST Max.

Bills OL coach Aaron Kromer arrested (Suspended 6 games)
zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's going to be one overriding theme to all these types of situations going forward.. Terry Pegula will employ you and treat you extremely well as a member of his "family". However, if you use poor judgement and/or bring negative attention to his franchises, it's over. I suspect right or wrong, Kromer is done here. -
Well that's a bummer to think about but you do have a point there. The Bills get more mileage out of losing 4 straight SB's than most teams get for winning it. Does anyone ever talk about the 2003 Bucs or the 2006 Steelers? Nope, never. But the media still can't stop referencing those early 90's Bills teams...that never won it.

I can't have Cleveland winning the championship. That would put Buffalo solidly #1 as the most depressed sports city (in terms of not winning any modern day titles).

Polian critical of Bills not drafting a QB
zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Petty was throwing accurate deep laser passes vs. UB a couple times. He looked awesome. Oh except for the part that his receivers were wide open. Still, I'm not sure EJ would hit deep passes to wide open guys right in stride. -

zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have to agree with 'ol Bill on this one. I really liked Bryce Petty and it kinda' sickens me that we passed on him twice and the Jets got him. It's only my opinion but i think Petty will be the starter there by late season and he will be a solid pro QB. I don't get why Bills management are the only ones that can't seem to draft a solid developmental QB? Either they overreach for an EJ in round 1 or they draft someone in round 7 or an UDFA who you know will never have a fair chance. Some of these round 3-4 guys turn out good. -
True, the NFL Network is making a primetime show out of the schedule release. 8pm tonight
-
I tend to agree. Leaked schedules are usually so wrong...

Germanwings - One of the pilots locked out of cockpit?
zow2 replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
This suicide was more like homocide. I mean there are so many people that are depressed and have occassional suicidal thoughts but they don't have any bone in their body to harm other people. It's hard to comprehend why this co-pilot wanted to take so many people with him...or was he just so selfish to not even think about them in his moments of despair. -
Here you go... This is some kind of Bar-Mitzvah gift http://dailycaller.com/2015/03/27/yoga-instructor-flashes-boobs-at-bar-mitzvah-molests-teen-gets-arrested/

Germanwings - One of the pilots locked out of cockpit?
zow2 replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
I don't know what is speculative. I'm buying it...every last terrifying detail. Theu guy purposely crashed a plane into a mountain. Whether it's lone wolf terrorism or just a suicidal guy...is really the only question. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3012053/Andreas-Lubitz-Germanwings-flight-9525-French-alps-crash-French-alps-Germanwings-plane-crash-Airbus-A320-Barcelonnette.html Revealing data extracted from the black box voice recorder, he said the co-pilot - 28-year-old German Andreas Lubitz - locked his captain out after the senior officer left the cockpit. At that point, Lubitz used the flight managing system to put the plane into a descent, something that can only be done manually - and deliberately. He said: 'The intention was to destroy the plane. Death was instant. The plane hit the mountain at 700kmh (430mph). 'I don't think that the passengers realised what was happening until the last moments because on the recording you only hear the screams in the final seconds'. -
Germanwings - One of the pilots locked out of cockpit?
zow2 replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
The co-pilot probably disabled the locking mechanism and then put the plane in a controlled descent. Maybe he even incapacitated himself so he wouldn't have to be awake and watch the final moments. It doesn't add up that a pilot who is (depressed) suicidal would take 150 people with him? Maybe he was secretly radicalized and this was terrorism. This whole scenario is truly terrifying to think about. -
No.12 UB vs. No.5 WVU Fri 3/20 2pm NCAA Rd.2
zow2 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I think those black road Uni's look awesome. Much better than their traditional blue/white. UB played a very mediocre game and still had a chance. If Hurley sticks around they have a nice team next year. If Hurley bolts some of the high end recruits may never come to campus. Let's hope he stays. -
I'm surprised Dallas let it get this far. Murray was a big difference maker for them. I'm all in that most RB's are a dime a dozen but a few are special and he's one of them. Dallas will not be as good next season without Murray. You can bank that,

zow2 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I sure hope he stays at UB. Hurley can get big time players to Buffalo because he's Bob Hurley! If he bolts to a bigger program then he will compete against programs that can stand on their own to recruit. I'd like to see UB keep him happy financially and maybe Hurley can build a legacy here with multiple NCAA tourney bids.. -
He will probably sign w/ the Jets. He indicated on NFLN how much he enjoyed playing in Chan's offense and had his best season with him.

I'll say it now: Jameis Winston = Jimmy Clausen Part II
zow2 replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your take is absurd. I may not like his jovial, childish demeanor at times...but Winston is a helluva QB. He's gonna be very good. Definitely worthy of the #1 overall pick and i'm glad he's going to the NFC (so it seems). -
As long as the Jets don't get Winston I'm ok with it. I think he will be a much more successful Pro than Mariota. When you look at college QB's i think you have to strip out all their rushing yardage when projecting them in the NFL. These guys get to the NFL and they can't run like they used to or get hammered way too much. Even guys like Kap, RG3, Manziel, etc.. have to learn to be pocket passers in the NFL and they just aren't as good at it as we thought they'd be.

MMQB: Bills 2015 Draft projections (plus AFC east)
zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. I think he's going to be a decent Pro QB with the potential to be very good. At the end of the day, football is football and Petty can throw the ball hard, far and accurately. In 37 college starts the guy threw 62 TD's, 10 int's, 9.7 yds per attempt and completed 62.7%. -
All Things Incognito (Richie returns, signs contract)
zow2 replied to RalphOP83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was listening to some host on Sirius XM going off about the Bills signing RI. He said Rex was a terrible hire and this move by the Bills is disgraceful. Then right on que he goes to a longtime caller... big Bills fans- who disavows his allegiance to the Buffalo Bills over this signing. Such a joke. We root for Laundry people! Red, White & Blue laundry! I just want my team to win. The guy didn't murder, rape or beat any women & children as far as we know... Is this really that big a deal?!? Sheesh, -
The Seahawks did something i did not think possible
zow2 replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't care who won (hate em both) but i do love when another fanbase experiences the ultimate "gut punch" in the biggest game. As a miserable Buffalo sports fan I really enjoy having other cities feel that pain. It's probably awfully petty of me but whatever... -
