People seem to forget that Ray Rice's last full season (2013), was lousy. The other reason he isn't getting hired by anyone is that he sucks. He hit the wall before the domestic violence stuff. Dating back to the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, the Bills all time record vs. Tennessee is 1-7. That last win being in 2000. The Titans currently have a 5 game winning streak vs Buffalo. That includes the Music City miracle and losses against Billy Volek, Vince Young (twice), Matt Hasselbeck (twice). It seems to me that Tennessee is one of those teams that just has our number. There's no other explanation. I think the Bills have better players this year but they have to prove it on the field against a team that is rested and had 2 weeks to scout us. Cundiff is insurance. Cutting Carpenter would be an emotional decision and the wrong one imo. There aren't enough long distance, accurate FG kickers. Dan might be having the yips right now but so do most kickers on occasion. Let him fight through it. He would be scooped up in a heartbeat if the Bills release him. If he misses a couple more 38 yard FGs this weekend then let's revisit.

Personally i don't care if the game slows down. We have ONE game per week. Who cares if it's slow? It wouldn't be any slower than the average college game. I like that they review personal fouls in college ball. Just get the call right.

And these situations are the subtleties of the NFL and officiating. Seattle...the 12th man, all their nonsense of being one of the "elite" teams over the past several year comes into play again. Seattle has earned the reputation of being a winning team, a winning organization, a likeable coach, etc.. Yes they play physical before the whistle blows and they chirp alot but somehow the refs respect that organization...and with the whole world watching in their house, they get a call like that...or a non-call. They've earned it, they're Seattle. Teams like Buffalo and Detroit will never get bailed out on a call like that. Never.

If Mariota smokes this defense then we know it's goin to be a 7-9, 8-8 type of season. Seriously Rex, please pull a Belicheck and give Tenn something they aren't prepared for. Are we capable of coaching like that? They are studying all the games in their off week. Do what we do well and also draw up some things that will surprise Mariota.

Also, for Rex I think it goes against every fiber of his being to keep two kickers on his game day roster. That's why he's extra hard on Carpenter. You have ONE job.

Yup. Skins fans are loving him. I was bummed when he got the hamstring injury after we drafted him. His pedigree was very good and now his potential is turning into reality

Thing is, the ref throws the flag just as the pass is released so he doesn't really know its going to be a TD. My beef is the over-officiating. The Ref "thinks" he sees a guy block low but if it's not 100% obvious why is he flagging it?

In several other games there were 10-12 combined penalties... We get 17, sheesh. Plenty of room available in the camper lots for the Cincy game!!

Miami is Rubbish

I was thinking the Jets are now discrediting both our victories. The Colts and Phins are proving to be mediocre and garbage. I give the Jets some credit because both those opponents were coming off bad losses to the Bills and in the NFL that usually means they play better the following week.

Whaley has hit some of these recent draft picks out of the park (not to mention other signings like Incognito, Percy, etc,,). He's the man. Doesn't need to apologize for any of his past moves as far as I'm concerned...

You can't afford to lose any game but it's better to be weakened vs. an NFC team than next week vs. Tennessee. All these AFC games are critical when Wild cards are bunched up in December.

I see discussion on Giants boards that Eli is great at getting the quick passes out like Brady....therefore NY has a great chance. I say nonsense. Brady is the master and no one else is even close. The Bills D should keep them in check unlike New England.

Dixon should be used strictly for special teams and blocking. He has zero burst and nothing to offer in running the ball. If McCoy needs a maintenance Sunday off who would be the other RB? It can't be Boobie.

I think Tyrod has done really well but 3-4 sacks last weekend were definitely his fault. If he wants to bail then take off and run!,,,,just don't stand there searching around for 5 seconds. Then disaster will strike. He plays well rolling out of the pocket. I have no problem with that. Not expecting him to be Joe Flacco back there. HE has to be wary of going into that mid-game 4-5 drive abyss. One bad drive OK, it happens but he can't string together a bunch of 3 and outs and/or turnovers. That obviously will lead to a loss every game.

You saw the difference between Luck vs Brady last night. Brady and his crew,,, 2 seconds, boom! ball is out and it's placed perfectly on the receivers hands nearly every time. Luck like nearly every other NFL QB needs an extra second or two back there and the D-line or blitzer will cave it in by then.

I Wasn't rooting for the Jets but i definitely have a soft spot for Fitz and Chan. They are good guys. Also, I am impressed early with Bowles. Seems like a professional coach who runs a good system. I have to say, last year with Geno and Rex leading the Jets i thought they were a couple losers and easy to root against. Now that Rex is here I'm obviously on board but man, i need to see a bounce back week to give me confidence in his ability to coach here.

Here's the deal. Rex and his staff better have the team prepared to play flawlessly in Miami. I'm not saying they won't have a couple penalties, or a turnover. He can't control everything on the field of play. But he better have this ship pointed in the right direction. Stop with the shoving and talking sh*t after every play. Take your jobs seriously and don't play the game in the media. I've got a lot of NYC friends calling me and telling me that what we saw last week and Sunday (plus post-game press conference) was exactly what they saw in NY for the past few years. We won't need that here. I'm already souring on this "style" of play. If they lose to Miami and get moved on like last week my impression of Rex will be the overrated defensive :guru" and clown of a coach we saw in NY. The Refs don't seem to like Rex either. Based on his postgame bluster about the officials thinking people came to watch them...i don't expect Buffalo to be the beneficiary of borderline calls... and I expect Buffalo to be flagged on every borderline calls.
