  1. Thats a solid take. I pretty much agree w you. I don’t blame him for just letting his natural instincts take over in his rookie season. He’s trying anything to win. Next year hopefully the game slows down and he can read and react to coverage faster. He’s in hero-mode right now and he’s taking a beating for it. If he gets hit on the brain 5 times in a game and the refs call it twice, that’s a win for the defense.
  2. It's been noticeable since preseason and it happens every week. He either takes a wicked head shot in the pocket while getting sacked or just running around back there. Or, he will get his head slammed against the turf after he releases the ball or maybe on an unnecessary roughness play. This type of playing is just not sustainable. His brains will be scrambled by year 2. Not that Darnold is anything to behold but he goes through his progressions quickly and gets the ball out fast. He's not making himself a target. I can't really assess Allen's game going forward until I can tell what kind of passer he will be? He's definitely showing signs of being a decent passer,,,and if the receivers wouldn't drop some easy receptions he would have better numbers. It's his rookie year and hes trying to make plays, I get it. But Josh Allen will have to clean this up in 2019 and start throwing the football more and protecting his head and body.
  3. We give up like 175 yds last week and 248 yds this week and lose both games. That’s brutal man
  4. What are you talking about? I never said it was a moral victory. Jets dominated 2nd half and earned it. If playoffs were on the line I’d be pissed but they weren’t
  5. McD is a fine coach. Stop with the knee jerk reactions over a meaningless tough loss. The Jets played hard. They earned it
  6. Disappointed by the loss but it was a close game and neither team going anywhere this season. Jets played hard obviously wanted to avenge that earlier embarrassment. Darnold played better in crunch time. Allen was ok but some killer drops and inaccuracies too
  7. If reversed, Josh Allen gets lit up at the end of that, Bills didn’t put a hand on Darnold
  8. Allen’s completion % takes a hit but how many good passes are dropped or called back due to penalty? He had to lead the league in that
  9. How about the culture that Marrone has created down in Jacksonville?!? Holy cow, what a disaster. Seems like the players do and say whatever they want.
  10. I've seen plenty of Bills fans on the sidelines of pre-game warmups at road games. I assume they are friends of the suite holders or whoever they are attending the game with to get that sideline access. Most people, however, are wearing just a t-shirt, hoodie, cap, etc.. Nothing like the Pack fan in the article.
  11. Chiefs, Colts, Jets and Panthers are just gross.
  12. I still go back to the old reference...Jerry Rice had a slow 40-time but he ran a 4.2 on Sundays. I really hope the Bills can find a way to draft AJ. Mack got away, let's hope AJ doesn't. He's going to be very productive in the NFL. He has great body position/control and catches with his hands. There are reports that the Cowboys love him. The Bills need a solid WR and gotta get this done.
  13. Love ya Scottie but why couldn't Christie be the one kicking that 47 yd FG on that fateful Jan. 1991 night in Tampa when i was sitting at the 50 yard line?!?!?!? Ok, sorry,,, that pic took me back.
  14. I just assumed it was because A) at this level, a punter probably has super hand/eye coordination and is used to catching the snap and B) the punter has the time in practice to handle this duty
  15. Watching Skins Makes you really appreciate having Allen and Barkley
  16. The ball definitely must’ve slipped out of Josh’s hand. Even going to his left he was able to Rip it and his arm is plenty strong enough, even when tired. You can tell on replay Clays right toe caught the turf monster, so he was falling forward. What I don’t understand is why a professional receiver like Clay would not get his arms under the ball to keep it From hitting the ground? It’s like he short armed it. Strange all around
  17. I liked seeing some quick, short high % passes called in the second half. Not everything has to be a 20 yard rope or a bomb. Brady and Rodgers for example make a living out of short throws mixed in to their games. Allen is starting to look like the best QB out of this draft, with the exception of Mayfield. But I don't know how much better or more accurate Mayfield will get going forward? He's good now. Will he get better? With Allen you feel like he will get much more comfortable and more accurate a season or two from now. Anyway, i was skeptical.. I didn't want to draft Josh Allen. So i give credit to Beane and his staff here for moving up to get themselves into position to draft him.
  18. I checked out a Fins message board late last night to see their take. Most were underwhelmed by their win and named the MVP's of the game as two ex-Dolphins.. Clay and Phillips. As for Josh Allen, two comments from their board posters stood out. Most really were impressed by Allen and underwhelmed by their team. - "Josh Allen looks really, really good. I think the Bills are set for years. Tom Brady won't do that against us next week that's for sure" - "On the evidence of the Jets/Bills games against us, the Jets picked the wrong guy.
  19. Two plays before the last throw to Clay, Allen got smacked in the head hard when he was taken down in the pocket. It was the second Dolphins player who hit him, and it was intentional. You could tell Allen was rocked as he was trying to shake it off and he looked at the ref like, C'mon man. That non-call play infuriated me more than any. Although he did get hit in the facemask earlier in the game by a fist/hand, another no-call. Not to mention he was dragged down at least once hard and hit his head on the ground, that's on him. Allen just takes too many head shots for my liking, even in preseason.
  20. From drive to drive, Allen is capable of being lousy to spectacular. at the end of games, this dude is making things happen. That’s great to see.
  21. One crazy thing about Allen is ya never know from play to play what he will bring. It could be horrendous or something spectacular.
  22. Yes that one infuriated me. He got clocked in the head by the second guy and it was not incidental
  23. Miami’s winning TD drive seemed like the yardage “earned” was 80% from penalties and then a miracle catch between 4 hands. This game was such an unfair outcome. Oh well, weren’t making the playoffs anyway
  24. I agree. Usually penalties even out but holy cow Josh got hammered in the head and roughed up a few times, no calls, definitely some DPI, no calls. Really bizarre day by the refs. They did not let anything slide against the Bills
