Overdorf better have his resume updated. He is gone. Pegula pretty much wiped his hands from JO by saying it's up to Beane to decide. Beane will have his own style and ways of dealing with people and contract negotiations. It won't involve Overdorf that's for sure. As for Brandon, if he can just stay on the business side of things I have no problem. He's probably a valuable guy and right hand man for Pegula. Just stay out of picking football players and cap stuff. If he had some influence in getting Brandon Beane I like that move. So now Russ can sit back and run the business side.

Yeah every-time Terry is pulled in and asked a question i cringe. It's like, just let Beane handle the talking here. Terry and Doug together were the worst. I'm gonna enjoy hearing from Beane. Hope this works out.

He gave a good answer about Overdorf. Non committal. Overall Beane sounds good up there. Professional. Pretty much the opposite of Whaley.

As Andy Reid has said in response to playoff failure critisicm.."you can't win the whole thing unless you are invited to the dance". So yes, I want to WIN now and make the g_d@mn playoffs for a change. Then i will worry about winning the Super Bowl. Count me as one that is sick and tired of "tank" talk. This is not embarrassing. McDermott and Beane were getting hired by some organization...if not this year then next. It's been documented by several NFL people that the fact they know each other and share the same vision of how to build a team is a GOOD thing, not a negative. I like the hires...will definitely be a change to see people with high intelligence running the show over there.

Probably a combination of all those things. To me, Whaley never played well in public. He'd stammer in radio interviews, get flustered sometimes and could not think quickly on his feet when questioning went sideways. He didn't present like a real confident guy. From everything i saw and read, he never seemed like a leader.... He seemed much better suited in his behind-the-scenes roles as scouting director, pro personnel, etc,,, Right off the bat, you hear people that know Beane describe him as a leader and very smart. So that's probably what the Pegulas want...along with someone who shares the same vision with McDermott.

The Buffalo-Carolina connection is much easier to swallow than the Buffalo Jets from the last regime. I hated that mix.

Tank mode is not an option for me,,,and I assume after his experience w/ the Sabres it's not an option for the Pegulas. I'm all for winning as many games as possible now. I'm a big TT fan and hope he kills it this year and puts all the naysayers to bed. However, if Peterman beats him out with his play (and i don't expect this until Summer 2018)...I'm all for him starting. Gruden and a bunch of other NFL media thinks this kid can be a very successful Pro QB. We'll see.

Yes, agree. He's a great D-Coordinator and with in-game adjustments. Also runs a tight ship and commands respect from his team. But yeah, he got so lucky with Tom Brady

Sure hope they give Jordan a real shot.. I think he's an excellent downhill RB and even I could see his skills in college would translate well to the Pro's. If they give him 7 carries in preseason with the 3rd string Oline, then I would say that's not a real shot to make the team.

So what happens to Overdorf when the new GM comes in? I say they gotta get rid of him. He's still a piece of the old culture and regime that they seem to be moving away from.

After the Buffalo pick, they spent about a minute talking about our guy then immediately went to discussion about what Dallas was going to do with their pick.

Kansas City took a big chance taking Mahomes imo. If I'm trading up to #10, I would've taken Deshaun Watson. I think he will be the better Pro QB between the two guys.

Speculation is that the Bills were targeting Lattimore before the Chiefs trade. So they still got a solid CB at 27 and got the extra picks. Nice value since we all know they needed a DB

Kiper likes the pick, Gruden loves it and Mayock thinks he's a very solid, well rounded CB. If those guys all like pick than so do I.

On the flip side how about being a Chiefs fan? You now have zero first round pick in 2018 for moving up for Mahomes. It's a huge risk. I'd be bummed not having a 2018 first rounder for moving up to #10.

Other than showing up to his Pro day, the Bills haven't shown much interest publicly in Chad Kelly. Probably a smoke screen thing. Keep other teams thinking they are disinterested. I mean Uncle Jim was a cocky SOB back in the day too...and look how he turned out. and his nephew grew up wearing Bills gear. Chad is talented for sure and would be totally invested in a reboot to his reputation and career w/ Buffalo. I say grab him.

You will see the remaining ESPN people having to branch out....like Adam Schefter as a sideline reporter on NBA telecasts.

Eh, i need the top 2-3 picks to be day 1 starters for Buffalo. Plus we have Ragland coming off a lost season so he's like another draft pick coming in.
