Week 12: Jaguars' Game Preparation - Inactives Announced
zow2 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Texans, Chiefs and Lions did not blow out the Jags. We are in that mix of teams so on paper I wouldn't expect an "easy" game here. Hoping the Bills D has another chip on their shoulder this week because the O is banged up and I don't see them moving the ball at will. -
Kind of a toss up. Maybe root for the Raiders to continue winning, be on a 5-game winning streak then the "due theory" happens vs. Buffalo. The Raiders would be due to lose! Meanwhile after the Bills game they can go back to winning and beat up the Broncos & Chiefs. Bottom line for the Bills is they need to finish the season 6-0. I don't think they will make the playoffs at 10-6.

Dear A Lynn, More Gillislee please!!!
zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's been great but takes a real beating when he runs it up the gut. Every game he gets clocked so hard i feel like I get a concussion just watching it. I'd like him to get 12-15 touches per game but the punishment he takes...ouch. -

Speaking of Gillislee, how many times does the guy have to get his helmet ripped off before there's a call? The first one yesterday by the Bills 10 yard line was the most egregious. I watched the slo-mo on my DVR and the Bengals guy ripped his helmet off violently. I recall the Bills getting flagged 15 yds opening day for finger inside the helmet opening...or some nonsense like that. Also, Burfect is allowed to dive in and slam Woods while he is already down on the ground?!? Hard to believe how quickly they threw personal foul flags on Buffalo yesterday but not Cinci. -
Get Kirk Cousins in the offseason.
zow2 replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Cousins calling out their GM after the game.. He's a guy that has really improved. In his first full season Cousins was an interception machine. He's gotten so much better. -
That Miami win means nothing. Buffalo is already playing playoff games and basically have to win out. That would include a W over Miami. Nice win today by the fish but the Bills are still in control of their own season

Week 11 predictions: Bills at Bengals
zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've been hot this year, picking correctly 8 out of 9 games (at NE was the one i missed). Unfortunately I see Buffalo losing another tough one. Cincinnati 27 Buffalo 24 -
I have lower level tickets too...can't give them away.
-
Miami just got as big a gift as they could be handed in an NFL game. Keenum is not the answer either but probably would have made enough plays in the passing game to keep Miami off balance... The Fish will scheme against the rookie and make his life miserable.

Guarantee the Bills will NOT lose this weekend!
zow2 replied to Buffbills1fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will be surprised, maybe even stunned if the Bills win at Cincinnati. -
Just like Seattle did, Cinci gonna get their offense real healthy vs the Bills this Sunday.

Bills pretty much toast after Broncos and Chiefs wins...
zow2 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills have scored 25 points in three consecutive games...and lost all 3. I don't think the O is anything great but geez, the D has really let them down by giving up some HUGE plays to the opponents. They could've won the Seattle game if they could finish,,,,and shoulda' won the Miami game if not physically bulldozed by Miam's offense late. -

zow2 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They do have a chance. All they need to do is go 7-0 to finish the season. 11-5 would probably do it. 10-6 most likely not -
Den and KC winning is a killer. Unless Bills sweep the final 7 games, forget playoffs

Bills actually have a scheduling advantage Week 11
zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's no chance this will be an "easy" road win. I would be mildly surprised if the Bills even win this at all !! Cinci has the Bills number these last few years.... They are always tough even if they are having a slightly down year. I don't care that they have a short week, the Bills have to go into their house. Also, the bye teams often come out sluggish after not playing for a while. That's a concern. Bottom line, if Buffalo has any wild card hopes, they have to win a game or two that they aren't supposed to win. This is one of them. Losses to Balt, Jets and Miami have given them no room for error. They have to sweep the 4 home games...win at NY and split at Cinci/Oakland. i would think winning at Cinci will be more likely than winning in Oakland. -
Relax, Bills still on the road to the Superbowl
zow2 replied to Very wide right's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think they beat Cincinnati unfortunately. Just haven't matched up well with that team in recent years. -
Both Bills prime time games this year were arguably two of the more entertaining games of the season....definitely for night games. So from what I'm reading in this thread, sounds like a lot of people think ratings will only be good if about 5 teams are involved,,,,Green Bay, Pittsburgh, New England, Dallas,,and maybe Denver. I call B.S. Ratings are down across the board, for everyone, in comparison to years past.

MMQB: Bills-Seahawks: Bad calls and more bad looks
zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah i noticed that right away. It's typical of all kickers. The refs called his bluff. Bottom line it was off sides, unabated to the kicker and refs should have thrown the unnecessary roughness flag. I really don't think Sherman was being dirty...but he knew the rules cold. No whistle, play through the play. He got lucky no roughness penalty was given. The icing on the cake was the ref standing over the ball. -
Even Mad dog Russo on Sirius said yesterday that Bills/Seahawks was the best...most compelling NFL game he's seen all year. Great catches, lead changes, special team plays by both teams, controversy, etc... It had it all. He was really impressed by the Bills and thought they got hosed big time. The ratings have nothing to do with the game or matchup. Whether it's the elections or people are just bored of the NFL....ratings will be down no matter what. Even my son who loves sports won't sit through entire NFL games. He'd much rather stare at his fantasy scores on laptop or iphone and do other stuff. and watch highlights later. Gone are the days where people like me (now in my early 50's) used to sit and watch 9 straight hours of football.. I used to do that in my 20's.. Now i watch the Bills and maybe some redzone. That's about it.

MMQB: Bills-Seahawks: Bad calls and more bad looks
zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So maybe in the end Richard Sherman is just as brilliant as he thinks he is. He somehow knew the rules and how they would be enforced in split seconds (i.e., unabated, reaching out and touching the ball, knocking Powell to the ground and knowing he won't get flagged for it). -
MMQB: Bills-Seahawks: Bad calls and more bad looks
zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The people who write the NFL rule book admitted the sequence of events was called incorrectly. All of it. Yet on Mike and Mike this morning on ESPN, two of those dummies on the show insisted Sherman did no wrong because the whistle blew late. He was just playing out the play. So ridiculous. -
Pros and cons of keeping Rex next season
zow2 replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After week 2 I was all in on canning Rex. Now I flipped. I think his team has shown enough to warrant keeping the program together another season. I like continuity and think it's important. We will have more pieces back on D next season. Whaley should be able to reinforce the offense....and TT will be in this system for multiple seasons and should be even better. Don't blow it up. -
Why do winners win and losers lose?
zow2 replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's just so typical Bills to have Jimmy Graham make two ridiculous one handed TD receptions. I mean the guy hasn't done anything all year, and he will probably disappear again after this. Losers lose consistently because of stuff like this in addition to the refs blunders and untimely penalties, etc -
They had on Ryan Clark on the Mike N Mike show this morning and he is defending the Sherman "block".. He claims the whistle blew so late he was already in the act of blocking the kick.. He blamed it on the refs for not stopping the play earlier. but really, no matter how it gets spun, Sherman's play was unnecessary roughness. Same thing as when other players on a field shove someone or dive into a pile after a whistle. it wasn't dirty IMO but it was definitely unnecessary and late. Easy call and that would've prevented all the nonsense of the delay of game and ref standing over the ball till 4 seconds on the clock.

Tyrod Taylor played better than expected tonight...
zow2 replied to fridge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel vindicated for supporting Tyrod. I like him. He's good....and other teams worry about playing him as Seattle did. You simply don't jettison TT unless you have a better replacement, and we don't (and I don't see drafting anyone who can step in and be better right now).
