We Should Pick Up the Option on Tyrod No Matter What
zow2 replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People really need to be careful about running Tyrod out of town. I would not do it until we have someone here who is BETTER than Tyrod. Is Cardale a better NFL QB? I'd say no, not yet. Get rid of EJ in the offseason and let Cardale see what he can do in the summer 2017 to make it a competition. -
CBS: Rex could be fired, TT benched Monday with loss
zow2 replied to NoSaint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I look forward to seeing Cardale sometime, maybe not next week though. EJ? Gimme a break. Tyrod hasn't been great by any means but just settle in for losses like 30-10 for the final few weeks, if they decide to bench Taylor. -
GDT: Bills vs. Steelers 1st Half Thread
zow2 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just wanna blow them out or get blown out. Not in the mood for drama and or heartache today. -
"Playing a full 60 minutes".... that line always gets me. It's not like Alabama playing Rutgers. This is the NFL. Rarely will one team dominate the other for a full 60-minutes. It's how the team handles the flow of the game when things aren't going so great. The Oakland game they just melted down and the Raiders dictated everything the last 1.5 Quarters. which led to 3 and outs and easy TD drives... Don't be so fragile when things go bad because there will be a point in every game where the momentum changes.

It's funny that with each passing day, Tyrod becomes worse and worse in the minds of media and some fans. Instead of leading an offense that's averaging 25 pts a game, he's like a bad version of RG3. People are really short sighted. I get wanting to see Cardale but that's going to be in preseason 2017. That would mean benching TT and skipping over the backup, EJ. Not gonna happen. It's football, you play your best until the end of the season. Players on the team expect that,.

Taylor showing frustration to Buffalo media

This. Perfectly stated. -
Taylor showing frustration to Buffalo media

I agree with Tyrod's stance. Sometimes it feels like there's a crusade from WGR and Buff News to have certain players jettisoned out of here. Yes, Tyrod can do better but does anyone watch other NFL games? You see low scores and poor QB output every week. The Bills average at least 25 pts per game. That's a great average and there's hardly been any help from defense and special teams like you see in KC and Denver. Could Tyrod do better? absolutely. So could about 28 other starting QB's. Let's get someone at QB next year and see the average pts per game plummet to about 17-20 and see how everyone feels about that. Unless he just craps the bed these last 4 weeks I;m on board with resigning TT. I'm also on board with drafting a QB every year to see if we can find a diamond in the rough, also prepping Cardale to see if he can upgrade the position someday. -
Bills will play Bryce Petty when they go to NJ

Funny that some of the Jets posters on their board wish they could have Rex back. They hate Bowles and "old man Gailey". -
Bills need to Tank like the Sabres
zow2 replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You don't want to tank in football. Takes too long to rebuild and ala Browns, even when you draft high they don't always pan out. The Bills have talent. If they see a QB they like, then trade what they have to trade to get him. We are not so far away...coulda' beaten Seattle and Oakland in their house. -
The Chiefs entered yesterday with the 28th ranked defense and gave up 32 first downs and 418 yards to Atlanta. Yet they are 9-3 and cruising into the playoffs. 'Splain that to me ?!?!? Why does the Bills defense have to play top-5 caliber in order to win, with an offense that averages 25 pts per game ?!?

After it was 24-9 I had to take my son to a swim clinic and I DVR'd the rest to get back to it later. So I left the live broadcast feeling great. Then while at his activity, i clicked on Twitter and saw the meltdown reaction. I didn't even watch the remaining 20 minutes of the game when i got home. I just divested myself emotionally and went on with my evening. It actually felt OK, not having to suffer through a collapse.

Week 13: Raiders' Game Preparation - Inactives Announced
zow2 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lots to overcome to get a W today. Including a bad losing streak wearing the White jersey/ Blue pants combo! -
That's a really cool story on ESPN. Hope the creators stay in Buffalo and keep it a home town thing as long as possible.

Week 13 Predictions: Bills at Raiders
zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
30-17 Oakland. But I hold out hope that the Bills will play a spirited, desperate game. The Raiders are not going to be desperate in this one. They REALLY wanted to beat Houston in Mexico and the reigning NFC champs in Carolina. I don't think they will be extra jacked up to play Buffalo. Maybe it's the due theory. Oakland is due for a stinker and the Bills have played two pretty solid west coast games already this year. Hope I'm wrong about the outcome,,,,trying to talk myself into a Bills victory here. -
Your last point is why i always contend the 17 year playoff drought comes with a big asterisk. It's all because of New England. Bill and Brady. The evil empire. If the Bills were in any other division they would've made the playoffs a couple times by now. It's no coincidence the Jets and Miami are also in the Top 10 in post-season droughts. Maybe the Bills or Fish will shake that this year.

OK, let's do this: Tyrod Taylor
zow2 replied to TakeYouToTasker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just don't get this fanbase? The guy is leading a team that has averaged 25.5 pts per game this year. Over the past 7 games they've averaged 27.7 points per game. This is with minimal help from the defense in terms of turnovers (field position) recently. I mean Tyrod is far from perfect but my gosh, he's pretty special with his legs and throws a good deep ball. Has plenty of arm strength to make every throw. Yes he could do better in the middle of the field...but his running and the Bills rushing attack is the identity. Who else would lead the team to more offense this year... Sam Bradford? Brock Osweiler? Bryce Petty? Gimme a break.. You can break down the game tape of every NFL QB today and they missed throws yesterday. It's not a position where there is 100% perfection. I understand people here wanting/expecting 300 yds, 2 TDs, NO Ints, but geez. The O has been fairly productive. -

Gillislee Injured Hamstring; Should Be Back vs. Oakland

Buffalo always seems to suffer from non contact practice injuries and tweaks. Just kills the team -
We are top 10 in points scored since start of 2015.
zow2 replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
C'mon.. They scored 25 at Miami, at Seattle and vs. New England. 32 vs. Jets. They should've squeezed out one or two wins in that group of games.. Where's the D when you need em?!? -
Ugh - Playoff Projection not too rosy - even with 10 wins
zow2 replied to Coach55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they go 10-6 and miss it they don't suck. The whole playoff drought is directly tied to New England success. the Bills, Fish and Jets are all in the top 10 of current playoff droughts. If we played in a normal division where all the teams had up-cycles and down-cycles the Bills would've won a division in 16 years. It's just harder to earn a Wild Card than occasionally bubble to the surface in a mediocre division, -
I'm sure the Texans message boards are furious this morning. Seems like they got the short end of a few poor calls.

Relatives of mine live in Cincinnati own a pair of club level seats they were trying to sell. Two days prior they went on Facebook and asked if anyone wanted the pair for a heavily discounted price. On Saturday night they basically decided to give them away to anyone that wanted to go (apparently the cold weather was a big negative for the locals). I would've gone if not for the 8 hour drive each way! So they ended up eating the tickets because no one there wanted to see the game. I think Bengals fans are a bit jaded kinda' like Bills fans were in the late 90's. They've been to the playoffs and been disappointed so many years in a row that it's not a big deal anymore. The first sign of suckiness, they are OUT.

Also, assuming the Bills keep winning, we will need some competition for New England through week 17 when they play at Miami. We're going to want AFC Home field to be in play, otherwise the genius will rest his players vs. Miami. Better for Oakland to hit 8-2 tonight.
