  1. Lynn had the look of a coordinator acting as head coach for a week, hoodie and all (although Belichek wears a hoodie to pressers so there ya go,,,something in common). If Lynn is organized on game day, communicates well, has the respect of players and Execs of the club, and the team plays hard....,I expect him to be wearing suit and tie to his introductory press conference because he will be named permanent head coach. In the end maybe that will be Rex Ryan's legacy. He will be the guy that brought Anthony Lynn into the organization as Lynn goes on to be the next Mike Tomlin..
  2. He also praised Tyrod in that he always gives you a chance to win because he does not turn it over. You could tell Lynn likes that quality. Last I saw of EJ he was turning it over...and Cardale also throws some risky 50/50 balls down the middle of the field. I think this is a courtesy start for EJ, part business decision...part giving a good guy a chance to start one more game. I don't think they re-sign EJ.
  3. I hope he's not gone...because I agree he's going to be a fine QB for several years. People here are so frustrated not making the playoffs for a generation that a good QB is about to be run out of town. If they want him throwing the ball in the middle of the field, they will work on it in the offseason. I'm not obsessed with that concept like many of the posters here. Tyrod can make all the throws.
  4. I'm ok with this presser. The guy just needed to get up there and try to shake the nerves. He did the best he could in a new situation. This game vs. the Jets is barely an audition. Lynn didn't even get to pick his QB, which i assume would have been Tyrod. The result of the Jets game won't harm his chances if they lose. Unless he puts ten men on offense and defense he probably will be the head coach going forward.
  5. EJ is not going to be the guy here. TT is better and maybe even Cardale is better than both in the long term.
  6. I'm with ya man. Good post. Pay the man, draft another QB, hope Cardale can compete, ditch EJ
  7. The KC defense is everything the Bills D should be. Something I thought Rex had promised us. They are tough, play w confidence, opportunistic and certainly they don't get pushed around at home.
  8. He only has tons of time to throw because he buys himself an extra couple seconds dancing around. It's a flawed stat. Mobile QBs always have the metric showing them with most time to pass.
  9. Fine, get rid of Tyrod. But don't do it until you have someone Better to replace him. People think you can dump the guy and we'll just keep churning out a top 7 offense. I don't get that mindset.
  10. I think Miami would've taken care of business in week 17 anyway. I don't think NE needs that game correct? I still think to last year when the Bills went 4-2 in division. What a waste. We never go 4-2 in AFC East and blew it. Miami will be 4-2 or 5-1 in division and will be skating into the playoffs.
  11. Do NOT let Tyrod walk out that door unless you know there is someone BETTER to replace him. It would be a huge mistake. People need to stop listening to WGR and the media tweets about Tyrod.
  12. I'm so disappointed by this defense. The eye test most of the season has shown me the D is the bigger problem. The much bigger problem. I figured after the hideous Baltimore game that the O would fail but overall they've held their own save a few moments here and there. In the biggest moments the D could not bail them out or close teams out. I would re-sign everyone on offense and make wholesale defensive changes. Something is wrong when you give up rushing yards like that...and at home no less in two out of three weeks
  13. You don't ditch TT unless there is someone in the wings better. End of story. There is no one better that we know of. Yet.
  14. Don't want to hear anything about TT after this game. Bills D are just a sieve
  15. With a stout defense he'd be good enough to win MANY games. I think the team has won 15 games in his starts over two years??
  16. Buffalo's point differential +44 Miami's point differential +1 Miami wins the close games. They've been clutch. Home field makes a huge difference here Buffalo 27 Miami 16
  17. Overusing this uniform combo. Should save it for special games, not make it a regular part of the rotation. Last week they should've worn the Blue jersey/white pants. I get that the club is winning with this uniform but the uniqueness is already getting worn off.
  18. It's too bad he couldn't play that Steelers game. I'm sure he figured his replacement(s) would hold down the fort but holy cow, they missed Kyle in that game.
  19. I can see why Atlanta supported him and Buffalo hated him (in generalities of course). Atlanta is a racially diverse city. Lots of very successful African American people make it their home. Buffalo is still pretty hardcore meat and potatoes town and still kind of segregated.
  20. I'm impressed that the Bills have a top third offense for 2nd straight season. I'm impressed that they have the #1 rushing attack in the league, headed by a dual threat QB who worries defenses despite what many people here think. I'm not impressed that we still can't make the playoffs (and i blame the constant change and New England success since B&B arrived for a lot of that, we never get a break with a down divisional year). What would i like to see next year? Obviously a better D.. but on O, i'd sacrifice some of the gaudy rushing stats for bit more chunk passing. Get down the field in fewer plays. They haven't asked Tyrod to be that guy very much this year...and when they have, the receivers were hurt and/or kind of sucked...and Taylor would miss some open guys as well.
  21. Please don't include Detroit... in recent games they've scored 6 (Giants L), 20 (Bears W), 16 & 22 (Vikes, both W's), 13 (Texans L), 20 (Redskins W).. I would call their offense very NOT-scary, despite Stafford being able to throw for > 250 yards eight times this year.
  22. I think even Clowney shut it down a few years ago, in the regular season too. I can kind of understand it for the running backs. They take a beating and their shelf life in the NFL is usually short. If it's an inconsequential bowl game I'm ok with it. I don't like it at all if/when they start skipping regular season games.
  23. Here here... this is typical Buffalo frustrations boiling over. I like Jeremy White on WGR but geez, he has crusaded against Taylor all season and the fans buy into it. As if other teams QB's are constantly hitting every open guy over the middle and averaging 25 pts per game. The defense has stunk this year! Fans should be careful what they wish for. May have another QB next season and go back to averaging 19 pts per game. That will be fun. If it's Cardale I hope he blows the league up but just don't take 25 pts per game for granted. It's not easy and it would not be happening without Tyrod leading the O this year.
  24. The O has been productive enough to make the playoffs. End of story. Promote A. Lynn to be the head coach and find another Jim Schwartz. This team is pretty close. No need to blow it up. But OK, if you want to be a Bills reporter go ahead and claim the Cleveland Browns are in a better position.
  25. This is basically a playoff game for Miami. So yeah, I would very much like to ruin their little run here...
